Character History Pre-Creation: Keyta was born in the middle of Summer, and born into a family of seemingly ordinary humans within the city of Ravok; however, Keyta’s mother carried Kelvic blood and gave birth to a Kelvic Bat daughter. Keyta’s parents still loved their daughter and knew she would mature far faster than ordinary children, so they were ready to accept that they would have to let her leave soon after her birth. Keyta enjoyed all the attention her parents gave her day by day and quickly learned how to take care of herself.
Within 2 months, Keyta was already beginning puberty and discovered that she could not make any sound that her parents, or any other human she knew, were able to hear. Keyta’s bat-like instincts took over in these years as well and changed her sleeping cycle, however she still made an effort to awaken as early as she could but was mostly active at night. Some nights, Keyta flew onto the roof of her home, and would just stare into the sky, wondering about the world beyond her’s.
When Keyta was 3 months old, she stopped growing, and was rather small compared to most humans and slightly smaller than most bats. She discovered her favorite food were oranges for they were the best flavor of sweet and sour all together. While most humans, including her parents, would eat their meals made of cooked meats, Keyta found her fruits and smaller insect diet to be more to her liking. She begins to wonder, why, even though she is healthy, does she feel so empty? Her life is a happy life and full of love, but yet, she feels there is something missing from her life.
As Keyta turns 4 months old, she is ready to ask her parents for assistance, she is ready to leave the house and look for a life of her own. Her mother, sad but understanding doesn’t say much and goes to collect a few materials for her daughter. Keyta’s father takes it hard, but he gives her as much advice as he can about the outside world, and informs her to visit back as often as she can. Her mother returns with a bag of leather, and a few materials within it. Her mother looks Keyta in the eye, “This lead me to your father, it lead me to you,” she take of her necklace with a key hanging from it, “May it give you luck and take you where ever you need to go,” she hands Keyta this key, and Keyta put it on wearing it proudly. She hugs her parents as a goodbye and begins her travels… |
