Date: Day 50, Fall, 515 AV – Early Morning
The young wolf felt like it had been an eternity since she had first stumbled off the ship to who knew where. Redd just knew that she couldn’t stay on the ship any longer than she really had to. As far as she was aware, she was far from Ravok and Sahova, at least she hoped she was. Especially considering that she had spent many days on the ship, rocking back and forth inside the wooden monster. The whole motion had made her feel sick down to her core, so when it had docked and she was aware of it, she stumbled off of it and never looked back. One thing that was becoming quite clear to her, was that she was extremely hungry, a factor that had been somewhat over looked when she had been feeling sick aboard the ship. It had also taken her a little bit of time to recover, especially considering that her legs had felt like they were ready to give out once she was on land. Redd still wasn’t at full strength, even when she had landed, but she knew that that was only a side effect from starving. So when she moved closer towards a pair of wooden gates with what appeared to be ribbons tied to them, she paused to take a look of the surroundings, of the city and of the odd tents that were spread before her.
Her single hue looked towards the ribbons and her stomach growled something fierce. It was strange to see such a thing really, something that was… The words wouldn’t come to the wolf and she suddenly felt out of her element. What was this strange place? It didn’t look like a city, nor did it resemble anything that she had ever seen. It left her… At a loss for words. Her stomach rumbled deep and the young wolf turned around to view the plains of grass that ruffled whenever a breeze of wind drifted passed. Food, somewhere out there eating that grass would be some edible beast, she was sure of it. In her own mind she could taste the blood that would burst out along her tongue as her teeth sank into fresh meat. In the young wolf’s mind, she would be able to feel the struggles of the animal slowly die as its life’s blood poured from its body to mar the ground underneath.
Redd clutched at her pained, grumbling stomach as the image of eating, kept blooming inside her mind. It had been so long since she was able to hunt prey that was normal, prey that she was kind of used to hunting. For the kelvic was aware that some animals would be different to what she was normally used to when she lived in Ravok. Or would they? She angled her head slightly to the right before she glanced behind her, her single hue took a moment to view the strange tents. The young wolf wasn’t really in the mood to face humans, much less strangers. In fact, she wasn’t sure that she wouldn’t snap if a human dared to stop her. She was hungry and right now, her instincts were telling her that it was simply survival of the fittest. Slowly, her gaze returned to the rolling grasses as the fall breeze tugged at the edges of her hooded cloak, it was then that she realize that she was free, free from slavery. For now at least and she couldn’t help but smile on the inside. Freedom, it was finally in her clutches and she wasn’t going to let it go without a fight. This strange land would be where she would stay, for now. Until she was forced to move on.
