AppearanceRace: Svefra
Gender: Female
Age: Seventeen.
Birthday: 33rd of Winter 497 A. V.
Birthplace: Thirty miles south of Syliras, at a bonfire.
Appearance: Sarahai's most distinguishing trait is her enormous height. Standing at 6'6", the Svefra woman is an intimidating figure at first sight. But her slimness, weighing in at just above average for a Svefra, soon becomes apparent. Sarahai's body is tanned as most Svefra and her hair is long and blonde, tied back from her face with a red cloth. She has slight sideburns.
Sarahai's eyes are as blue as any of her people, but the effect is not as intense as it is with most due to how clean she keeps her skin. Her entire body is shaved and washed daily, leaving her smooth and clean. This, she insists, helps her swim, but she is actually just obsessed with cleanliness.
Sarahai's jaw is soft and leads to a slightly long, fragile neck. Her face is round, soft and can be described as pleasant. Her nose is slightly upturned, her lips small but full, giving her a slight pout. Sarahai has soft cheekbones and ever so slightly slanted eyes.
Character ConceptSarahai is a scholar at heart. Able to read to an unusual degree, she tends to get lost in novels or her own writings before she really should let herself. More than once she has found herself without food because she missed shoals of fish because she was writing about catching them and not actually doing it. She will quickly write physical descriptions of people or places that she sees and stash them until they can be rewritten at a later date.
Sarahai is extremely shy. She will often ignore signals to come ashore, even from other Svefra, unless she knows the person or they appear to be in danger. This manifests in her keeping many of her writings under lock and key on her ship, hidden from the world until she chooses to add her best to them. Complimenting her writings does tend to make Sarahai like a person a great deal more, but since only her closest friends would be able to see her writings at any rate, this is mostly a moot point.
Sarahai is entirely pansexual, finding most races and their genders attractive. She does not, however, ever act on this and can often make herself upset when thinking about this, convinced that she shouldn't try to be anything but completely alone. The few friends she is able to develop, however, she can prove to be extremely affectionate towards.
The clumsiness of Sarahai is a defining trait. The massive Svefra is more likely to knock something down than to contribute to it. This, added to her shyness, makes her very likely to just not try to help and can be perceived as laziness rather than what she sees as an act of kindness.
Sarahai is very book-smart, but she lacks a lot of wisdom. She is overly trusting and far, far too kind for her own good. This, coupled with her stutter, leaves her open to people assuming she isn't very bright.
Character HistoryThe first thing that Sarahai ever did was damn near kill her mother. A large child, her forty-three year old mother's body could barely take the strain of her birth. Sarahai was an anti-social, timid child, often refusing to get into the water or other simple things thought natural to the Svefra. While she eventually did learn to swim, she was nearly five years old and was already marked an outcast.
Sarahai was taught to read sign postings and took to language in an unusual way. At the age of ten, she began to take any books the Svefra took in and stored them in a large chest an uncle gifted to her. Soon after, she had read most of the popular novels of the world and began to understand the cultures of the various cities, even if she couldn't truly mesh with her own.
Sarahai's pod began constructing a large galleon ship when she was fifteen. It was to be the first of it's kind built in years and would be the pride of all Svefra. Sarahai, entrusted with heavy labour due to her size, accidentally knocked a candle over and managed to burn the half-completed ship to ashes.
The rest of her pod thought this was bloody typical of her. They gave her a rickety Casinor and told her not to follow them, or tell anyone that she was related to them. Extremely upset when she watched her family leave, Sarahai took to the seas and began to live a sorry, lonely life.
Currently, the tall woman is living her own life, writing it away with a passion.

HousingLocation: Near the coast of Syliras, often beaching around the city.
House: Sarahai owns a rather small, rickety Casinor that has never been named. It was considered such a poor build when it was first constructed that it was decided it didn't deserve one. While Sarahai has done her best to repair the vessle, it is still a poor ship and needs to be beached in anything remotely resembling a gale. Sarahai has not armed it.
