Hey Folks!

I just wanted to remind all you that you need to be TRACKING your word count on each post this season to see if you can get to your 50K goal to keep your super power.

The best way I can suggest to do this is to put a note at the bottom of each post that goes something like this:

Word Count: (1234 this post/4390 total)

This way its EASY to spot check random posts to make sure your counts are right. DO NOT INCLUDE STYLE/BOX CODES ETC or OOC posts. Just include your IC post. And you should be mentioning/thinking/using your super power to count the words in your post.

I'm guessing flashbacks or grandfathered threads aren't valid in that case?

Wikus - Exactly right. I've stated before (I think you weren't back yet) that this word count only can be counted for the current season when your gift is being used. Three months! You guys can do it! Just post a lot and make sure you push your characters forward. In Riverfall, as in a lot of domains, we have a lot of players always playing catchup. Part of this season is designed to be a writing exercise that is makes you 'live in the present' for your pc and stay on tract. That's why if you don't have your 50 words by season change, I won't let you 'finish' threads to get it. You can do it! I know you can. I've seen people do their 50k nano in four days. So three months should be doable if you want it bad enough.

Just to clarify: do we have the whole of the THREE MONTHS to achieve the 50k words, or JUST December? I thought it was the former but wanna double check. Wikus' siggy had me in a panic!

Don't let Wikus panic you. He's playing catch-up and probably didn't see all the announcements.

You have the whole season of Winter. 92 days. That means you have until Season Change folks! That's Dec, Jan, Feb. If you can't do it, I'll personally cry for you.

NaNo is a nickname for NaNoWriMo which is a short name for National Novel Writing Month, which happens every year in November. I missed it this year being ill.

That's a relief. When I saw Wikus's note, I was thrown into panic mode. With work being what it is, December and early January are bad for me as far as having time to write. But 50K words by the end of February is doable for me.
