Alexander remained silent as the smallest of the group gathered was sent flying into the dirt, followed with a quick dash from the first of the fighters to draw blades with the enlarged fool. The warrior’s face deadened as he followed the male’s example in quick earnest, his massive bulk closing the space between himself and the small child in a manner unbecoming to a male weighed down by bronze armour. Noting the winding pitch of the mechanical contraption attached to the male’s wrist, Alex skidded to a halt beside the konti girl and her temporary patient. The man was in a bad shape, one eye swollen, several cracked ribs and what appeared to be a misshapen jaw from the forceful kick; though the warrior was no expert in such areas of injury it was apparent that they were still too close to the combat zone to treat the injuries safely. “Healer, as a disciple of the higher beings I will defend you from harm.. but this is no place to invoke the rights of gnosis.. we must move from this place..” The warrior priest placed the great war-hammer over his right shoulder as his hallowed words echoed into the night, followed with the clash of the skirmish behind them. Alexander’s eyes were dead and chilling as they observed the combat from a distance, the hardened right fist tightening over the shaft of the hammer as his expression darkened somewhat. From the stance of the opposing male it seemed brute force was all he had behind his words, whilst the other took the loosed light step posture of an assassin. It seemed the rest of the gathered crowd had taken an aggressive pose, though their actions were deemed unnecessary.. The assassin seemed fully capable of handling himself, though even the greatest of men had fallen with a simple slip-up in battle. The warrior remained silent as he continued with his observation, appearing dismissive of the two though silently waiting should action be needed.. It wasn’t as if to say there weren’t an assortment of fighters here but on the un-likely chance of the assassin being over-whelmed, a close-combat specialist would be required to end the situation quickly.. |
