12th Summer.
Karin reached home after her shopping trip that very same day. She bustled about, putting the food items away, and as there was nobody around, she went and flopped down on her sleeping mat. The new journal, she supposed that's what she'd call it, lay invitingly on the covers. The girl picked it up with a little trepidation, and flipped open the front cover, exposing creamy paper. She unscrewed the little inkpot, and dipped her quill into it. Anyone looking over her shoulder would see that the girl had written, "no looking", in a scribbled hand. She blew over the words to make them dry faster, and admired her book once again, before shutting it and heading out towards the door, her new purchases safely stored away.
