Thymara Younglight Appearance Race: Drykas Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: 33, Autumn, 496 Birthplace: Endrykas Appearance: Thymara is strong and rather well muscled, with much of her strength is her legs as she is a strong runner and capable rider. She is fairly tall, standing at just over 5'9. She has long, wavy, blonde hair that she usually keeps braided back. Her eyes are a ligth blue gray. She also has a smattering of freckles across her face and shoulders. She often wears a light grey shirt belted with a purple sash and deep maroon trousers. Her windmark runs up her right leg. Character Concept Thymara is out going and brave, and almost always up for some kind of adventure. She is often considered rude by people as she almost always speaks her mind, and rarely thinks before she speaks. She usually doesn't mean to hurt people's feelings, because she doesn't think of the consequences of her words, so when not out riding she can often be found apologizing to the people she's inadvertently offended. She can be hot headed at times, and often in part of one misunderstanding or another. Despite this, she is generally pretty friendly, so long as she doesn't get off on the wrong foot. She also has a bit of a rebellious streak, she loves her family, she really does, but she sometimes feels she is being forced into a life she does not want by them. Character History Thymara was born to Wymarc and Ysasa Younglight in the Younglight pavilion, a part of the Amethyst Clan. Her mother bred horses, while her father specialized in hunting and gathering food for the pavilion. Both of these things were imprinted on her. Her mother is her fathers first wife, and he has a second by the name of Orid. She has three siblings, two half sibling's, and she is the fourth oldest in her family. Her oldest two brothers are married and have children of their own, so her family is quite large, and her pavilion crowded. Her older sister, Elbere, was her childhood best friend, but Elbere married a man in the Diamond Clan whose pavilion rarely travels with the city, so they haven't seen each other in over a year. A yvas is what equates to a girth with an attached breast collar combination hung with hooks and topped with a small flat hand grip that lays along a horse's shoulders. The Yvas is often placed over a colorful pad that acts to protect the horse from the rider. The grip fits over a strider's withers which holds the yvas in place. It almost looks like the type of thing vaulters used on their draft horses, though it is more functional than a vaulter's pad. The horses can free themselves from them if they got separated from their riders, and do not have tack to entrap or tangle them when they are running loose. The yvas has ring tethers on it for handling a set of wither bags and a waterskin, and is often decorated in knot-work beading that identified the horse and rider as part of a specific pavilion. Drykas ride without any headgear or bridles on their horses at all. They do not use any halters either.
