Jischa frowned slightly. She'd not been jostled overly much since arriving in Syliras, but this woman had been knocked down twice, and recently. "You really should learn to elbow back, at least scratch them a bit," she teased lightly. "But here, lets see what can be done about this knee of yours." Surprisingly business-like now, she took Nehsmay's hand in her own, her free hand tucking her hair behind her ear, the intricate swirl of black ink and glowing blue that formed her Gnosis mark displayed prominently.

Image"Stretch your leg out along the length of the couch," she instructed gently, already sending a small, tentative stream of her Healing magic coursing from her own hand through Nehsmay's. Only a small amount at first, because if Nehsmay's knee was broken or if any serious tendons were lacerated, her Healing magic wouldn't be of very much use to her knee, though any other aches or worries would certainly find themselves eased.

"A tent?" she asked, smiling in her most reassuring manner at the Vanthan woman. "Please, after the day you've had I couldn't bear myself if I let you do that. Stay here tonight, I'll square it away at the desk for you, I insist." She squeezed Nehsmay's fingers lightly, the feeling of her magic soothing the aches and pains of another both familiar and comforting.

Nehsamy smiled at Jischa and answered cheerfully "I'm quite small so people tend not to notice me or mistake me for a child who is used to being pushed during games and such... I never played an awful lot as a child, mom kept me mostly inside the house so my equilibrium is rather bad. I'l try the elbowing back thing, now that you mentioned it." She smiled at the Konti woman and sat down on the couch.

"Ok..." She nodded and did as the Healer order stretching her leg. "It's probably just a scrape..." she said, but quietened as she felt a tinge stream through her hand. It was a curious sensation and she wondered whether that was how the Healers worked.

"Oh no!" Nehsmay looked up in alarm "I couldn't do that, I couldn't impose like that." she babbled "I'll just go to the Traveler's Row and book a room for tonight, I'll be ok."

None of Nehsmay's bones seemed to be broken, so it was with a faint sigh of relief and a silent prayer to Rak'keli that Jishca quickened the release of her Healing magic, sending it coursing through Nehsmay in light waves, easing any muscle tention and stress along the way up her arm, over her shoulders, and downward, finally winding its way down to her knee, relieving the ache of both Nehsmay's falls and repairing the torn skin beneath the black trousers til nothing remained, not even a bruise.

"..And, that is how it's done." Jischa said after a time, her eyes shining brightly. She'd used her Healing only once since arriving at Syliras' gates, and the thought of using it much more often appealed to her. Despite any misgivings Jischa might have felt about who she was, or what she was meant to be doing, it could never be said that she wasn't certain of her calling, to help and heal people who for whatever reason couldn't or wouldn't on their own.

"As for the room, as I said, I insist. And besides," here her eyes shifted slightly, avoiding the Vanthan's gaze lest her smile give away her untruthfulness. "You need to rest now, or all my careful Healing will come undone. So no pitching tents or what have you. You're to have perhaps some fresh fruit or a glass of wine, and a nice night's sleep." Of course, this wasn't true. Her Healing was a god-given gift, and not just a helpful technique, Nehsmay's leg was as good as gold now. She brushed a lock of Nehsmay's hair behind her ear, noting with surprise just how young the girl was.

"I'll be staying here for at least the next three nights or so, perhaps even longer. If you need me, just knock on my door, and if anyone else knocks you down, remember - elbow them back!" she laughed, then stood, smiling kindly. "I'm going to go settle the room charge now, so see to it that you use it, or it'd be a waste."

Nehsmay sighed in pleasure as she felt all the pain from her sore knee go away with Jischa's healing touch. She also felt relieved like she hadn't spent two weeks on the road sleeping in a tent and riding almost all day. She wondered what she could do to repay the kind Konti who, though a Healer had no need to help a stranger.

"Thank you so much..." She shifted uncomfortably "I don't know how to repay you, unless you would like to hear a story. I'm afraid there isn't much I know how to do." She gazed at the woman and her crimson eyes filled with regret at having learned nothing except tending to animals, singing and telling stories.

"I...I..." she tried to refuse the room once more, but didn't know how to do so without insulting Jischa. "Are you sure it's all right?" she tried once more and added "I don't want to impose, but if it's ok..." she trailed off babbling "Thank you again, you shouldn't have. I'll remember the elbowing thing, though it's hardly their fault they don't see me. Mom says it's because I was such a tiny baby when I was born that I didn't get to grow that much." She smiled remembering her mother assuring her it was nothing wrong to be smaller than others.
