Spring is finally upon us! The flowers bloom and the birds sings. The rains comes and the humidity rises, and Kenash reopens his gate once again. This whimsical city and its unique culture are once again the main traits that places Kenash in such an important position in the world of Mizahar. With the arrival of a new year, the Dynasties are once again back to claim the land, their slaves are sent to do their master's bidding, and the Rujaro once again loom around it all to attempt to bring an end to the abuses. [1 – 7] Misty, warm. Light sporadic rains.
- 1 – Kenash reopens his gates for visitors. The city is somewhat chaotic, and slaves from all Dynasties are sent to begin the removal of debris, hanged bodies and pools of blood that taint the streets. Dead bodies are stored for later use.
- 3 – The cleanup is complete. Slaves are once again at the mercy of their respective masters.
- 4 - Kenash’ port reopens, and large quantities of the Dynasties stocks are shipped out to their respective destinations. Logistics, helpers and workers are needed to load everything in place as fast as possible.
- 5 – Most of the city’s businesses are operative and ready to receive customers. Town criers begin encouraging the populace to visit the businesses and spend Mizas.
- 6 – The Askara Dynasty take over the Illumination Theatre and set up a play every evening for ten days – free of charge. It is full of propaganda made to increase the public’s opinion of the Dynasties, and it is highly inaccurate despite claiming to be based on historical facts. The doors are closed once the play has begun, thus forcing the viewers to remain until the end. It lasts 4 bells.
- 7 – A brawl begins in the city. The individuals are chased by the Dynasties through the entire city.
[8 – 14] Warm, clear skies. Heavy rains at night.
- 8 – At night, the city is visited by a couple ghosts coming from the swamp. A few cases of ghosts causing trouble and even invading homes and businesses are reported.
- 9 – A traveling caravan full of musicians and bards arrive in the city. They spread through the city and offer songs free of charge, and at night they gather in the Glass beach for an improvised concert.
- 10 – A naked body is found floating down the river, having been heavily mutilated. His remains spread throughout the waters, and the Dynasties demand their removal.
- 11 – Two more naked bodies appear in the river, in the same fashion as the day before. The waters are declared unclean and the population must brew and filter their own water for an entire week.
- 12 – A visitor has been caught stealing an apple from a business. He is taken to the hospital where one is his hands is surgically removed with an axe.
- [D] 14 – A woman is found naked in the Ebb & Flow’s rock labyrinth, having been raped and badly beaten. She is barely conscious, and keeps repeating the same word – “Surrender”.
[14 – 16] Heavy rain.
- 15 – The Kenash River overflows, due to the heavy rains. Work begins to secure the city’s businesses.
- 16 – Kenash is partially flooded due to the heavy rains. Those whom did not secure their businesses suffer moderate losses.
[17 – 20] Sunny, extremely humid. Occasional light rains.
- 17 – The Kenash River flows normally. The clean-up begins in affected businesses and residences.
- [D] 20 – The wagons of the caravan full of musicians is found partially sunken in the River. The musician’s location is unknown. People feel the worst, and some start investigating.
[20 – 29] Moderately humid and moderately hot. Moderate clouds and moderate sun.
- [D] 23 – The missing musicians are found in the Point Island Lighthouse by the Lighthouse Keeper. Their deaths were so violent and gruesome that the man has fallen into shock, despite not being there at the time of the murders.
- 25 – Representatives of the various Dynasties depart by ship to the nearby ships to promote their products and find potential buyers to sell in bulk. They are expected to return by the end of the season.
- [D] 26 – An unannounced ship arrives at the port. The Dynasties are very secretive about its contents, and the security is quadrupled as its being unloaded.
- 27 – Twelve slaves are removed from their tasks and sent with an armed caravan to the Sea of Grass. A rumor spreads about a very lucrative project being accepted by the twelve Dynasties, yet nothing is confirmed. The slaves are old and very incapable of work, possibly going to their death.
- 29 – The Dynasties take up arms the closest night comes. Once the darkness arrives, they stalk in the night and approach the various inns throughout the city.
[30 – 32] – Clouded and humid. Great heat through the day, and placid during the night.
- 30 – Surprise! Just as the first bell of the night arrives, those visitors whose freeborn status expired are chased for enslavement. Most are captured, and the Dynasties order the slaves to prepare a feast to celebrate.
- 31 – It is officially the Slave Exchange Day. Slaves change masters and Dynasties for an entire day, in hopes of being taught different skills and different trades to increase their utility. Abuses are foreseen for most of them. Recollection of information about their temporary masters is encouraged.
- 32 - The fields of the Dynasties demand cultivation! Dead bodies are removed from storage and are cut and grinded and used as fertilizer by most Dynasties.
[33 – 41] Partially clouded, placid. Humidity is low, and most individuals consider this to be the best weather Kenash will see this spring.
- [D] 33 – An apparent madman takes a hold of a Dynasty member and stabs him 43 times. He cries out ‘For freedom!” in the entire process before he is reduced. Similar cases spread throughout the city, yet the majority are unsuccessful.
- 36 – One of the local slaves is tied up just past the Kenash city gates. Visitors and Dynasty members are encouraged to approach and punish the slave in whatever way they see fit without causing death.
- [D] 39 – The captured madmen are displayed for public torture to their death in the West Bank. Their hands and feet have been removed, and their tongues were cut to prevent any kind of undesired propaganda. Unfortunately, the slow execution is interrupted.
- 40 – The Kenash Auction Hall seeks genetically acceptable individuals to impregnate female slaves. They are divided by race, and their physical and mental qualities are tested before they are allowed inside. The vast number of candidates cause multiple fights.
- [M] [D] 41 – Once the darkness has been set, strange wails invade the night and do not allow for proper sleep. Those wails originate from deep within the swamps. Many of the Dynasties offer a reward for those brave enough to venture within in the darkness.
[42 – 50] High humidity, moderate heat. Light rains in the mornings.
- [D] 42 – One of the Dynasties decides to hold a feast full of crabs. Another Dynasties hears this and a competition is formed. Both Dynasties send their manpower to gather as much crabs as possible.
- 46 – A small detachment of slaves accompanied by a couple of Dynasty guards is sent from one of the Dynasty plantations to the city. They disappear mysteriously and search details are unsuccessful in finding them.
- 49 – ‘Fifty Shades of Whey’ is the name of the small event performed in the West Bank, in which a very skilled farmer proceeds to give a lesson on cultivation and basic farming. The man is old and seems quite senile.
- [M] [D] 50 –Twenty more slaves are removed from their original tasks and sent outside Kenash to work in an undisclosed project. The Dynasties are once again secretive about their destination, yet they are all clearly working in unison. With them departs a security detail and a wagon full of mining equipment.
[51 – 57] Low humidity, high temperatures. It is almost impossible to be outside in the middle of the day.
- 51 – A wave heat looms upon Kenash. Establishments will experience an increase in customers.
- 53 – The wave heat continues to punish both the city and the plantations. The Magistrate’s Office demands caution for the Dynasties in attempts of avoiding dead slaves.
- 55 – The wave heat is in full effect now. Establishments are completely full by now, and the streets are only walked by the very brave. It is hard to breathe and many cases of heatstroke spread along the city. The Kenash River loses part of his flow.
- 56 – The Point Island Lighthouse rings the alarms, and the Magistrate’s Office announces a curfew for the safety of the city’s inhabitants. Only the most unfortunate slaves are sent outside to run errands. Traveling between the city and the plantation is basically impossible.
- 57 – The Kenash River and the Uvic Lake are at an all-time low. Water and other beverages experience major raises in price, and small wildfires begin spreading throughout the swamps. Some of the citizens head to the swamps in attempts of either suffocating the fires or looking for water. Some visitors pack their things and leave the city. The smoke from the fires loom over the city and people are encouraged to stay inside.
[58 – 60] Intense rains throughout the day, moderate temperatures.
- 59 – Like a miracle, the rains came in the night and suffocated all fire and draught. The chaos is smothered and everything starts returning to their place. Many head out to celebrate.
- 61 – Kenash regains its lazy and slow pace as repairs are made where needed. Dead are discovered in different spots of the city, and their bodies are removed to be used as fertilizer. The river regains its usual flow and the beverages drop their prices to their regulars, the profit made from these increased prices making up for any damages.
[62 – 70] High humidity, moderate heat. Stronger temperatures throughout the mid-day. Constant gusts of warm wind.
- 62 – Most members of the Dynasties gather in the Pavilléon, in a mandatory gathering to strengthen bonds between the twelve Dynasties. Once the night falls in, an orgy takes place within – exclusively for Dynasty members.
- 63 – Healers are requested in all Dynasty estates. A bad case of herpes has spread throughout most members.
- 68 – A plague of crickets starts devouring the tobacco plantations, and their numbers are quickly increasing by the day. Dynasties are shocked, and immediately proceed to spread pesticides over the plantations in large and unhealthy amounts.
- 69 – Most of the workers in tobacco plantations are affected by the toxic nature of the pesticides. Ranging from grave to mild, their condition temporarily paralyzes the work in the fields while healers are hired to treat the wounded.
- 70 – The first issues between Dynasties surge at the border of their terrains – the discussion escalates into a fight.
[71 – 78] High humidity, high temperatures. Intense gusts of air.
- [D] 72 – A rumor spreads about the Midnight Market, and a certain individual that claims to be selling a book with very valuable contents.
- [D] 74 – A miserable old man covered in scratches weeps in one of Kenash’ establishments, and refuses to go outside. He claims an eagle has been harassing him nonstop for two entire seasons.
- 75 – A rumor rises about the Radacke Dynasty going to take over the Magistrate for a third consecutive season. The rumor quickly spreads, and the Dynasties begin plotting and searching allies to avoid said takeover.
- 78 – A businessman of the Radacke Dynasty is lapidated at night by strangers, presumably by other Dynasty members. Whoever the author, the Radacke Dynasty cuts contact with most Dynasties and claims treason and ungratefulness.
[79 – 84] High humidity, moderate temperatures. Misty with frequent showers of rain.
- 80 – Two wild rabid dogs emerge from the swamps and attack a traveler without any sort of provocation.
[84 – 91] High humidity, high temperatures. Light rain at midday and throughout the night.
- 85 – Begins the recollection of crops, and ships prepare to sail for the nearby cities.
- [D] 87 – The Point Island Lighthouse is sabotaged, and the light is extinguished. A ship in which representatives of the twelve Dynasties ironically crashes against Shipwreck Beach in the middle of the night. Some survive and some die, and the various merchandises they carried scattered throughout the beach and underwater.
- 91 – As spring comes to an end, the Magistrates Office is left empty despite the Radacke’s complaints. The businesses change their wares, and the fashion is renewed. In the night, the Kenash waters are filled with lit paper lanterns in order to welcome summer – a season in which even more riches shall fall within the pockets of the hard-working.

City plot
Magistrate Mica Radacke
In charge of the Magistrate’s Office for a second season, the Radacke Dynasty seized the power in order to contain the chaos spreading within the City of Kenash the past winter. After several assassinations by the hand of the Rujaro, and the incompetence of the previous Magistrate to deal with the turbulent state of the city, Mica Radacke gathered allies and proclaimed himself Magistrate. Containing the situation by forcing a harsh curfew which only allowed two hours a day to roam the city, sending dozens of slaves to the hang and partially paralyzing trade, the safety of the city has greatly improve at the cost of several thousand golden Mizas lost due to the situation. Refusing to step down from the Magistrate’s office until the summer arrives, the Magistrate trusts on getting rid of any Rujaro or their supporters through pure brutality. The Dynasties are more unified than ever in this season, temporarily leaving aside their differences and pouring their resources to return once again Kenash’ influence on Mizahar’s trade.
This spring is all about renewal, of dusting off the doors of the businesses. Connections need to be made, hands needs to be shaken, slaves must be beaten and life must continue.
Final comments
Kenash, despite being a city of opression towards most, is slowly being reworked to become a city without chains for the players. Some of you Dynasty brats or slaves may be scared to think about four job threads in the same season, but I don't see it that way. You get to design your businessess, Dynasty brats. You get to pick your masters, slaves. Pick something you love, a trade you love to think about and make it happen. Make your character's life spin around it, work in every thread possible and you'll see how you won't even consider doing a solo to get those job threads done.
For the moment, I want to welcome all of you that are brave enough to step into the swamp and witness the horror within. You guys are what make Kenash as great as it is. Write, and please enjoy your stay.
