Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Okana’s Tent was one of the hardest places to find in a city where just about everything was hard to find. Lucas usually got lost a couple of times on his way there, but that was just how the ex-squire, ex-bartender and ex-university student liked it. Life would be insanely boring if everything were predictable. Once the tent had been on the roof of the Bizarre, and once he had found it behind the Crematorium which had not been pleasant. Lucas was a ltitle afraid of dead bodies. Finally, the tent had also ended up near the Cubacious Inn once, which had been a welcome change. It had been suprisingly easy to find that day as he'd just had to step out of the door.

Sometimes Lucas would assist the Konti who owned the tent, and sometimes he worked alone. He liked those times best as it meant he could be a little more creative with his fortune tellings. Madame Okana was rather conservative and emotionless. Lucas could have sung the raunchiest sung he had learned in the Sharp Tongue pub in Nyka, he could have painted his face like a lady, he could even have run around naked in front of her, and the woman wouldn’t even have batted an eyelid. She was a Konti though, so he forgave her. Konti were his second favourite race, after Eypharians.

She also paid him.

Madame Okana never advertised, Lucas did though. He stood in front of the tent, barefoot (because that’s how he liked it best), sword at his belt (some habits were hard to get rid of) and dressed in colourful clothes. This spring he mostly opted for his natural hair colour which was bright red, Inarta red. Back in Syliras the other squires had always accused him of being a dirty Inarta bastard, he’d countered that he was the secret love child of Loren Dyres and the hair was really just coincidence.

“Do you want to know your fortune?” he called out to the people that passed the tent by. “Do you want to know whether you’ll meet the love of your life, whether you’ll get rich and when you’ll die? I can tell you! I learned the art of fortune telling from Master Anselm of Zeltiva, the amazing male Konti, and now I’m willing to use that knowledge to help you! It will only cost you as much as you want to pay!”

OOC: If you want Lucas to tell you your fortune, please reply here and state where you found the tent and when exactly you are visiting (timestamp!). After you have replied, I will make a new thread for us and PM you the link! I'm looking forward to RPing with you!

Spring 6th 516

Sayana was gone. Nepthi still couldn't believe it. She felt so lost and alone without her. So the girl had done something she had never done. She took off the glass necklace, the one she always wore. It was from her mother, from another life. It was so delicate and fragile and while Nephti was these too, they represented a delicate blossom in the desert, sheltered and loved.

She took the shooting star, the necklace that was her. A star, to wish upon and have hope on. Light. Everything she stood for. It sat around her neck as if it was always meant to be there. Nephti clutched it tight, before entering the streets and walking aimlessly. She had nowhere to go. Nothing to do. It was too early to start making plans - she held a sliver of hope that Sayana would realise her mistake and come back for her.

A man that stood barefoot and danced about in colorful clothes made her smile. She stopped and watched the redhead, wanting a distraction. His whole set up amused her, and when he spoke, she smiled even more. He offered to tell fortunes, then said that he'll tell people when they would die. Silly fool. The cards rarely answered to such questions, not specifically enough anyway. But the man claimed to have been trained by a master, in a far off land by a Konti. She knew little of them but that Okana was one too. Surely Konti were blessed with the sight?

Nephti approached, interested. Her smile started to fade as her questions came to her. In a fragile and emotional state, like this one, trying to read the cards for herself would be futile. She would only see what she wanted to see. Perhaps a fresh mind would help her. Perhaps.

"Help me. Please help me." She was the one that needed help this time. She couldn't give it anymore.

Spring 4, 516 AV

Jay had been busy preparing for his imminent departure on the Mischief. That meant roaming Alvadas until the confusing city deigned to spit out one location or other that fit his needs. A spare set of clothing. Little things like a pocket knife, a bent piece of wire or a frayed hairband that might or might not come in handy. A side effect of his preparations was that he got to explore parts of Alvadas he had never seen before.

So the Kelvic was only mildly surprised when he happened upon a shouting boy in front of a tent three days from scheduled departure. When something about getting rich caught his attention, Jay stopped to listen to the rest. The boy seemed to be involved in fortune telling, a trade Jay had heard much about in the past. He also remembered infrequent visits to Konti Isle, but no male Konti. Not ever. Furrowing his brow, Jay ran a hand through his coppery hair and observed the boy with growing curiosity. As lanky as the Kelvic himself, but still a little awkward, with fiery hair and sea eyes. Too pale to be a sailor… or was he?

After fingering his gold earring for a tick or so, Jay couldn’t hold back anymore. He crossed the street, barefoot as usual, with his old vest, tunic and pants as ragged as ever, but still a long way from filthy. Settling down for two seasons, especially working at an inn had its little perks.

Jay stopped an arm’s length from the ginger boy, leaning forward with a curious spark in his dark eyes. “Are you… Svefra?” Those eyes were of the sea, but then again, the pale complexion was unusual for one who lived and worked on decks, under the sun every day. Jay couldn’t tell if it was a weird question to ask a fortune teller, so he added: “Funny, I never saw a male Konti before. Lots of girls, no guys. But if you know things about gold and love, I want to hear them.” The more he spoke, the more pronounced his accent became, hinting at the Fratava he had mastered long before uttering his first word in Common.

16th Spring, 516AV
Alvadas was a place unlike any other Micah had seen, or indeed heard about. Things moved about, and not things one would expect to move. But buildings, structures, all changed their location every day. At first the Vantha had assumed she was hallucinating, or had perhaps fallen victim to food poisoning, but… no.

No, apparently this was life in Alvadas.

Because of this, Micah’s first few days in the city had all been dizzying to say the least. She’d been at a loss as to where she was, or where she would end up at the day’s end. Fortunately, she was a woman somewhat familiar with being lost, though usually in the mountains and not in a transforming city. And so Micah did not panic, but merely bided her time wandering the changing streets as she attempted to come to grips with Alvadas.

A curious individual, Micah could not stop herself from investigating the tent she one day found standing outside the Cubacious Inn, which itself served as her temporary home. She had not seen the tent before, though as a newcomer to the city that was hardly surprising. She suspected there was much of Alvadas that she had not yet observed, and possibly some that she might not ever want to discover.

But this tent looked harmless enough. Unable to stop them, her feet carried Micah towards the tent and the young male who stood outside it, calling out to the passing public. She stood before him, frowning slightly as she listened carefully to his words. Fortune she recognised, but the rest was nothing but garbled Common. Slowly, she stepped closer.

”Fortune?” She asked tentatively, nodding to the insides of the tent and then looking purple-eyed to the male. Before he could confirm or deny his services, she touched her chest lightly and gave a breezy smile. ”I would like fortune."
