Riverfall
She dressed simply in a little green summer dress with sandals. The girl looked at herself in the mirror. Mirrors she found fascinating but she could see her hair. Her hair had a braid on each side of her face and ten drawn back. The rest was brushed to shimmering waves and curls that went to her hips. After they had settled into the apartment and she got over the initial shock of being in four walls, working out accommodations was interesting.
The girl had the bed and he said he would sleep on the floor. The bed was also something to get used to as it is soft. For a person used to a hard floor covered by a bedroll, this was soft. It was almost uncomfortably soft. The girl made the bed as she kept it neat and tidy. She stepped over the handsome man. For some reason he had not given her a name. This perplexed her. She had no idea what to call the man. Well there is no help of it. She went out the door and down the sunlit paths towards the stables.
The stables were on the other side of Riverfall. Over the bridge and down the path but it was more or less direct. The girl greeted Shetanae who was glad her rider was in good shape. Amunet spent some time communing with the mare as she took a brush from the stable and brushed her coat that shined in the sun. After her winter coat was shed, her dark dun coat underneath. She didn’t have time to deal with her mane and tail but it was nice as her and the horse had a relationship the stable owners and hands understood. They knew she was Drykas. Amunet had spent time talking about what to feed the Strider considering that she isn’t used to a lot of grain. The red head and the stable owner came up with a grain mixture that would closely resemble her diet. This was introduced carefully with a lot of good hay and clean water. So far she has been doing alright though itching to run. She promised Shetanae they would go on a good run soon. The girl waved at The stable owner and went towards the market.
The market was not too busy yet which was how the red head liked it. There was a plethora of items to cook with she never seen before. She wondered if there was someone to learn from as she spoke softly and gently to those in the market about the strange items that come to the market. The fruits she never seen, like apples. She talked to one stall keeper as they told her about this wonderful pie and different chutneys and just plain baked apples with nuts and honey. The girl asked for this recipe and bought some fresh apples. That sounded absolutely delightful. Hopefully the Handsome man will like it.
She procured a leg of wild boar which she knew how to cook and a few vegetables. This was coming together nicely. She actually smiled as she took her purchases and found the herb shop to locate rosemary and mustard seed for the boar. The girl looked beaming as her mind looked to make a meal for someone. He was keeping her safe to logic would say that a good meal was more than reasonable. The girl cleaned that apartment from top to bottom also while he was asleep.
