The sun was beginning to descend, bursts of golds and oranges shimmered in the darkened the sky, saying farewell to the people below. With the sun's dwindling a light chill was brought with it upon Zulravs soft breath. Caesi wrapped her cloak tighter, missing the heat from the rays of the sun. It was not awfully cold, the weather was pleasant, not too hot, not too cold but at night with out the sun in the air there was a bite of chill on the air. Caesi peered over to her Pavilion member and friend Luraine. Her medium length hair tyed back in a basic pony tail, swayed back and forth. She was not a Drykas but Caesi did not care. The girl was around her own age, working just as hard or even harder as other Drykas in her Pavilion contributing greatly. Besides that, they became fast friends when she was brought in by the Ankal, and would wonder off when time permitted it.
That was one of those times, as they walked towards the Baultimes Barrel tent. The tent caught all eyes, as it was a plethora of colors, decorated in deep and bright reds and shimmering appearing golds. The tent belonged to Baultime, who was a happy soul, though perhaps a little too fond of the drink and ladies. The middle aged man was a flirt with all Drykas women who came in for a brew or ale, though Caesi never took him serious. The two entered the tent, gazing over at the locals and foreigners chatting among themselves, sipping on some brew. There wasn't anywhere to really sit, as tables and chairs would not make for fast packing and travel. So many stood around outside, a few inside, drinking their alcohol, gossiping, or telling drunken tales that were overly exaggerated.
Caesi turned to her friend and smiled, motioning with her hand for the girl to Stay There. Baultime was a kind man, with reasonably priced drinks, but he over charged those who were not a Drykas. It was something Caesi herself did not agree too but it was just how it was among the Drykas. Outsiders were viewed with a distasteful eye or a wary one, depending. Combing her hands through her hair, she walked over to Baultime giving him a bright smile.
“Greetings Baultime.” Caesi said softly, putting two fingers over her heart in a respectful Drykas greeting. The man turned around his eyes getting a bit large and he gave a jovial chuckle making his large belly bounce ever so slightly. “Greetings Starguide, what a beauty you are.” Baultime winked at her, being is normal willy self. Caesi rolled her eyes and chuckled, “Why thank you, I am glad my appearance pleases you. But I am not here to banter, I would like a gallon of Ale.” Caesi pointed to the Ale indicating she would like it as soon as possible, wanting to get back to her friend. Baultime nodded his head, “Not many women can handle me, so I will let you have a pass this time.” He paused to hand her the gallon of Ale, “Next time however you will not get away so easily.” He gave a laugh and Caesi smiled, handing him 2sm for the Ale.
Returning to Luraine the two girls walked out of the tent, “Want to try some?” Caesi asked the girl, as she was impatient to give the drink a taste, never having it before. Luraine nodded he head excitedly, as she too had never experienced the taste either. Caesi brought the jug of Ale to her lips, sniffing the liquid inside. Her dainty nose wrinkled slightly, as the bitter scent entered her nostrils. “Oh it does not smell good...” She bit her lower lip casting a nervous glance at Luraine. The girl signed with her hand for Caesi to Not Be A Coward, indicating that she wanted her to drink it so she could try it too. Caesi let out a breath and gave a curt nod, tilting the jug to take a large swig of the amber liquid.
Her taste buds screamed as the warm Ale hit her tongue. It was like a fire going down her throat, that was bitter and tangy. She coughed a bit and wheezed handing Luraine the jug of Ale. She made a growling like noise, as she cleared her throat. It was a taste to be adjusted to, though it was not as horrible of an after taste as it was when she first tried it. Luraine started coughing herself, pushing the jug back into Caesi's hand as Luraine rubbed her throat, “Not good.” The girl said, her Pavi not all that great. Caesi nodded her head in agreement, as she could not help but take another swig of the Ale. The second drink was not as bad as the first, but it wasn't that much better. Licking the moisture off her lips she frowned as the hairs on the back of her neck prickled slightly. She felt like she was being watched, though she was not completely sure.
Turning to look behind her she saw a man who looked to be in his late twenties approaching them with a smug smile, Caesi looked back at Luraine, her brows knitted and her eyes wide with nervousness. She quickly signed to her friend, Beware, before the man came upon them. “Now what is two pretty girls like you doing drinking?” the man asked, reaching over to brush the hair from Caesi's shoulder. Caesi cleared her throat taking a small step back from the man, as he was too close for comfort. “We find it to be relaxing.” Caesi said curtly, not engaging the man but not backing down either. The man gave a laugh, noticeably staring down at Caesi's full lips. The girl cringed inwardly, trying to keep her face from showing the disgust she was feeling, although her eyes were probably on fire with a need to slap him. “Well, I know of other ways to relax if you want me to show you?” The man inquired of Caesi, leaning in close.
Luraine pulled her back, “Ah..Uhm.. One minute my friend needs something.” Caesi hastily said, not sure what the man had meant and not wanting to find out either. Though she was not sure how to escape this situation, fear started to rise inside her chest. She did not think he would harm her or anything, it was just an uncomfortable situation to be in. Luraine whispered fiercely in her ear, “Man to left, go kiss, dare you.”
Caesi wanted to yell how brilliant and Luraine was for such an idea, she spotted the man she was talking about. “Oh there you are!” Caesi said in a girly excitement as she rushed over to the man. She did not have time to really see him, only noticing the paleness of his skin and a strange blue hue she thought was perhaps from the moonlight, she had not time to think about it or she would not do it, having never kissed another before.
She rushed over into the man's arm, jumping up and kissing him. Well, she meant to kiss his lips, but had actually fumbled and stumbled, clumsily kissing his nose instead. "I missed you my heart." Caesia said gently, then tilting her head and softly kissing the strangers lips. He could probably taste the ale on her lips that she was drinking. She decided not to count this as her first kiss, as it was really just an evasion method. Though she didn't really have time to worry about it or the fact that she just kissed a complete stranger.
She leaned back down to her feet, giving him a better look. He was taller then she was, his hair short and his skin giving off a blue hue that was strange. He looked to be strong and muscular, his green eyes shimmering like emeralds. He was not a Drykas and she was not even sure he spoke Pavi, switching to Common she whispered, “Please.. Go with it.” Hoping the man would understand her, her bright teal eyes looking into his blazing green ones, pleading him and looking over her shoulder at the man who was bothering her, then back.
She hoped the kiss would help her escape, if the man would go along with it, pretending they were together then it should all go to plan. She bit down on her lower lip nervously, as she laid her head on the strangers chest, embracing him to further prove their fake relationship. Waiting for his reaction her heart pounded hard against her chest the man probably feeling how rapid and slightly frightened she actually was of the creep behind her, as she trembled slightly from fear and anger for being afraid. Caesi was not used to such intimate things, nor was she accustomed to being flirted with in such a manner. It was not a jovial flirt like Baultime, but a more serious one.
The creep behind her had looked at her as if she was a feast to be ate. It made her sick to her stomach, the urge to ram an arrow through his eye or any sharp object was strong, but she held the urge at bay. She was not one to be talked to like that, typically her bold and sassy attitude would have reared its head, but the Ale had dulled her down a little, making it harder to quip back as easily. It made her slightly sluggish and tired, enhancing her fear and panic for some reason. Perhaps she was tipsy or maybe it was all just a mentality thing. Either way, she was not going to be drinking Ale again, unless she was inside her own tent and away from people.
