Job Threads

So, it's been a while since I've been on Mizahar, and I just want to make sure that I follow the rules/guidelines/whatever for job threads.

As far as I remember, there are two job threads that need to be completed that are solely for the purpose of your job: One where the character is actually doing their job(i.e., out on a hunt), and one where they are doing something related to their job(such as actually selling their meat if they're a hunter?). Are there any other requirements that I'm not remembering that need to be done to have fully 'done' your job to get your seasonal wages?

Job Threads

Postby Ferrin Al'Mandrikan on April 17th, 2016, 8:19 pm

From my last job thread that was graded there was a word count. I'm not so sure if it's right, but somewhere at least 2500... But that was what I had been told. XD

Someone correct me if I'm wrong I don't really know any of the other requirements if there are any. But, recognize those to please, if anyone can. :)

I am not sure on the word count but just a normal size post. You can't really throw three or four lines and call it a job thread. You can work with others for the thread so you don't need to do a solo thread.

The city you are in may have some guidelines but you can always either Pm a mod or ask in the OOC thread of the city

Job Threads

Both threads involve your character doing their job.

If you want to submit threads for seasonal experience (optional), then you can do additional threads (max 3 or 4) in which your character is doing things related to the job but not the job itself. Seasonal experience are bonus experience points in addition to the thread being graded like normal.

Job Threads

I feel like there is a lot of misinformation here.

Every city just about has differences in their job thread requirements. In Riverfall, we require two threads of 2,500 words or longer that has you using your primary job skill and doing your job.

You then can submit OTHER threads where you TALK about your job or INTERACT in ways that lend itself to your job but don't get experience in your primary job thread. This qualifies for SEASONAL XP. You can earn up to 1xp per month of each season for a total of 3 xp in your job skill. If you turn in a ton of threads where you are rping around your job but not earning your primary job skill XP, then we can give you one bonus XP. So SEASONAL XP is only ever worth 4XP at the max and must be awarded by a DS or higher and added to your SS thread with full links.

There are TONS of examples in the LORE under SEASONAL XP and JOB XP.

I am not sure (unless other cities have adopted RF's requirements) that other cities require 2.5K words per job thread. WE were the only one that had set parameters for the longest time.

Thank you for all the replies; I think the seasonal XP thing was what was tripping me up the most.

Thank you again!
