Collin is still learning the ways of Syliras and in particular the responsibilities of the Order and the roles they play not only within the city but throughout Mizahar. Many of the things he was accustomed to in Zeltiva are vastly different than that of his new home, particularly compared to the south's colorful politics and culture. He has however, always been a compassionate and honorable man with a belief that without strong leadership and a solid government there can be no order or peace. History
Collin grew up in Zeltiva among a large family with four other siblings. Being the second oldest under another brother, he had his work cut out for him helping to provide for the rest of the household. When he was old enough he joined his father and brother working in the shipyard as a laborer. His size even as a youngster gave him the strength to carry cargo and building supplies alongside the other men. It was hear he heard stories about the world from traders and travelers, met hundreds of new people, and picked up a little Fratava from passing Svefra.
At a young age he decided he wanted to make something of himself and began dreaming of the Syliran Order. Through the years though it seemed it would stay a dream, for his youngest sister was always sickly and his parents were getting older. More and more responsibility began to fall on he and his other siblings shoulders until he all but forgot about Syliras. It wasn't until his twenty-third year that he met Sergeant-Knight Horace Blackburn, who took a quick interest in him, that the idea became a possibility.
Over the span of a year he came to know the Knight, learn from him, and in turn he convinced Collin's parents to give their blessing for their son to return with him to the capital fortress in the north. They arrived in Syliras in the middle of fall in 515 AV, where Ser Blackburn took Collin officially as his Squire and began his formal training. He fell quickly into the new role with a fierce determination, deciding at a young age that whatever he did in life he would be the best that he could be.

Being by far the oldest in his entire suite, he feels out of place relaxing among his young peers.
