Some people are memorable; easy to remember from a single glance. Others are not; easily forgotten and faces lost from mind. Calliope was always forgotten; not that it bothered her. Her appearance was common; no odd features that stuck out among a crowd. Most times, people never bothered giving her a second glance.

Calliope never minded; she always described herself as a common woman with an average height of 5'6 with an average weight of 129 lbs. With pale skin that never tans, only burns and a few freckles despite her living primarily outside, which adds a small amount of muscle to her slender body.

Calliope has unkempt hair that is thick, but remains incredibility soft to the touch; almost always weaved into a gentle, loose braid. When it is let down, the tangled waves flow delicately down to her waist. Calliope's hair frames strong features. With eyes that seamlessly blend brown, gold, and green hues into hazel orbs that can harden in the face of an enemy or soften at the sight of a child.

Dressing always for practicality, Calliope can hardly be seen with anything to improve her appearance. To dress up was silly to her, unless it proved advantageous. Normally, Calliope dresses in simple clothes that will serve her well in any and all challenges she may ever face. She is hard on her clothes, so it is not uncommon for her to wear torn, dirty clothes; she rarely buys new clothes unless it is necessary. Waste of money, she claims.

Even from a you age, Calliope wanted to know everything about the world. Why did things happen? How did Mizahar come to exist? Why was she here? What was the wilderness like? What did it feel like to live and be free? Her dreams seemed nothing more than a child's fantasy and imaginative thinking. However, Calliope would live her dream, she would explore and adventure. She would visit every corner of the world and see everything she wanted to see. This is her reality. The danger, the risk, the knowledge, the excitement. Gods, was it great.

Free-spirited and easy-going are often words that come to mind when thinking of Calliope. Calliope has a policy: never stay in one spot for so long. Being stagnant for too long drive her stir-crazy. How anyone could stay in place for so always confused her; it just wasn't living in her eyes! From the amount of moving around she is accustomed to, staying around for too long is like blasphemy; which she all too willing to express.

With a personality fiery enough to rival the Inarta, Calliope has no qualms with letting her opinions loose, though she may not be the most tactful in her speaking. With a bluntness that can sting, she's been told by several that her tongue will get her into trouble one day that she can't worm her way out of. Calliope is, of course, more than willing to tell this people to sod off, proving their point.

Even with her obscene lack of tact, Calliope can be kind if she so chooses. She can go from being extremely rude to gentle and kind in a single sentence. Her actions are very heavily reflected on how she perceives a person. Calliope's mother always said she was too quick to judge and close the door to opportunity a friendship or alliance based on a person's first impression. This makes first impressions even more important when meeting Calliope.

Quick to judge and quick to like or dislike. Trust doesn't come easy from Calliope. It takes a long relationship or an amazing act to earn her trust. She's never been one to trust a person on sight, regardless of how nicely they introduce themselves or how much Calliope enjoys their company; friendly faces can hide cunning, sly minds. It almost always takes an extended amount of time for Calliope to gain friends due to this.

Calliope was born on the 13th of Spring to Nicolas and Ava Clearglass. Being born and raised in the city of the Akalak had been excited for a young human girl. From a young age, Calliope was curious. Curious about everything. Curiosity that was encouraged by both of her parents. With her father being an explorer of the Sea of Grass and her mother being his partner, both were pleased to see their daughter's thirst for answers. So they wrote journals.

As soon as Calliope expressed her desire to learn about everything Mizahar had to offer, her parents began recording any findings they found in the Sea of Grass in a small collection of journals. With her father's writings and mother's illustrations that would be added once Nicolas returned - Ava had stopped going into the wilderness to stay with Calliope - depicting whatever Nicolas reported finding. Calliope absorbed every bit of knowledge in these journals, creating her own 'journals' depicting Riverfall. There 'journals' were where Calliope learned to draw and write.

For the most part, Calliope's childhood was happy. Her father continued to leave and return with new notes in his journal and her mother would illustrate what the notes depicted. It would remain happy until Calliope was around twelve. Years of her father's close calls with death - the Sea of Grass was never easy on him - he left and never came back. Calliope had eagerly awaited her father's return, sure that he was simply late in his return. However this was not the case.

Days turned into weeks. Weeks that weakened the hope of Nicolas's return. Weeks would then turn into months. Months that drove Calliope and her mother into depression. Months soon turned into a year. A year that forced Calliope to give up on her father's return. She had remained hopeful and sure that he would return, injured or not. However after a year, Calliope and her mother had to come to terms with the fact that Nicolas would not return.

That year was hard on Calliope, but harder on Ava, the woman who had stayed with Nicolas almost their entire life. At the age of seventeen, Calliope was for care for her mother, who had fallen into a deep depression. It was a rough year for both; a year that was cut short for Ava, who, in her sorrow and hopelessness, went into the Sea of Grass, stating that "She was going to find him. She was going to bring him home. And he'd pay for all the gray hair she gained over worrying about him."

Calliope pushed her sorrow to the back of her mind, determined to finish what her parents had started for her. She took one of her parent's journal and swore she would travel to the ends of the world to finish their exploration. She worked for years to gain enough to set off on her journey. Finally, with the proper equipment, she intends to leave Riverfall, her home, in favor of exploring and recording first-hand the amazing world of Mizahar.

Calvor is Calliope's riding horse; one who's been with her since he was young. He was around a year old when Calli had gotten him. At first, he had been wary of her, unwilling to trust her. Calvor continuously hid Calliope's belongings, hoping that she would give up on him and get rid of him. However, Calli remained faithful in him, hoping that Calvor would soon learn to trust her. In his first journey into the Sea of Grass, Calvor grew fearful of the creatures that lived there, lurking in the grass. However Calliope showed him to trust in her; she would protect him if she needed to. After a close run-in with a rather large snake hiding in the grass, Calliope and Calvor learned that they must protect each other in the wilderness.

After he trusted Calliope, Calvor become more confident in himself and his riding. He's learned that she will protect him as he would her. He now presents himself as a proud horse; one that no longer feared others. Calvor still likes to hide Calliope's belongings, but he does it in a playful manner, much like the rest of his breed. Calvor is truly a wonderful horse that may still get a bit nervous from time-to-time, but can still protect Calliope from the dangers of Mizahar.
