Aught you not be behaving so wildy?

Postby Hwyn on April 28th, 2016, 12:39 am

Humans... no.. people in general no matter their origin were odd. Hwyn thought to himself. Whatever this thing called kindness was, it overflowed in this city. Hwyn didn't much care for it, it was hard to handle kind words from strangers. Though perhaps Hwyn was the odd one. His interactions within Syliras seemed to constantly point towards himself being the source of any contentions in his life, not others.

Hwyn looked to his reflection then back toe bald man, then back to his reflection once more.

"Never take life for granted you say, I can't really make a promise like that, I've yet to fully understand what living is, though i've gathered it has something more to it than breathing,"

Hwyn said this with a mild smirk, he felt good, bad, but good. Hwyn was bemused with the situation he'd landed himself in, he'd dragged the man through the city, yelled at him and ended up in the water for dramatic effect. Hwyn had to laugh at himself, he really was being a girl. A dramatic one at that. Well... If he had gone as far as he had tonight why stop now. A sheepish grin spread across Hwyn's lips as he took on the most petulant air he could summon, Channel mean old mama he thought to himself Wryly.

"Well I've no choice but to accept your offer after you so brazenly transported me here. I'll accept your offer and allow you to by me personal Chauffeur for the remainder of this evening. As such your duty is get me warm and dry, within the next few bells or you'll regret it. you hear?.

Keeping a straight face while making orders in such a haughty tone was difficult. He remembered the effect it had had on the servants back home, and while this situation was almost invested of that where power was concerned, perhaps with enough charisma he could get a rise, at worst he could play it off as a joke... Hopefully.

And I need these clothes dried as well, so quit gawking at get to it you hear?

Perhaps he was pushing the envelope but the man had started the conflict when he had sat down in the alley, So Hwyn was just going to mentally blame him for the outcome of the evening anyway. After all, it's not like Hwyn could do any wrong right?

Shimoje conversed with Hwyn openly, having a light interaction full of laughs, drama, and sadness. It was like a play in its own right, and would soon be a memory. A paralyzing paradise that was to be shared. A memorable moment where the joys of life are cried about. “Well, you are living right now Hwyn. Soon, this will be just a memory, but it is up to you how you want to remember this.” Shimoje said as if remembering bits of his past that he seemed to regret. So many things he could have done differently, and something here in Syliras was not turning out the way he had expected. He had barely any time to just enjoy living. To enjoy being a man and to enjoy the luxuries of relaxing. Though, this… this moment was a sort of release for him.

Suddenly Hwyn started acting fairly peculiar, and downright silly. It was almost funny, as his whole persona seemed to change to a rather wry attitude. “Oh, two can play this game. No worse than some Zeltivian women. They often are far worse than that! You can do better, my majesty.” He joked as taking a bow and lifting Hwyn out of the water onto the docks and on his feet. “Let’s go, I will show you my apartment, but you must walk with me, my majesty. A fine person like yourself would never be seen atop of a brutish man like myself!” Shimoje patted his chest and huffed at Hwyn while making a silly face and flexing.

He held his arm out for Hwyn to grab ahold of, ready to escort the weird kid to his apartment. Hwyn mentioned something about drying his clothes and treating him to a night of servitude. He could tell that perhaps the kid was reenacting something, so Shimoje just played along with the act. While walking up the docks a break in the boards left about an inch gap. Shimoje was fast to react and darted ahead. “Oh, watch out. This crack is no match for my majesty if I am here!”

Shimoje was perhaps taking it far too sarcastically, but for once it felt like the bald headed Zeltivian was having fun. He would often see passerby rich folk in Zeltiva and they acted in ways that sometimes not even he could understand. It was all too silly for the less fortunate, though he was raised with an education. Everyone in Zeltiva had to be educated and taught the basics of reading, writing, and some history.

Suddenly Shimoje changed his character once again. Using his long wedge as a cane and pretending to huff on a pipe as he walked. His voice went deeper than it already was. “Ma’am, might I ask what events you have planned for tonight?” He smiled and looked beside him as Hwyn held onto his arm. “I am sure that an evening relaxing would be just bashing for the two of us.”

Shimoje laughed at his acting, it was rather horrible, but perhaps Hwyn might find some humor in it. If Hwyn was to partake in these acts of playfulness he would continue to escort him until they reach the apartments and proceed by opening the door in the gentlemen type of manner, where Hwyn would see a rather empty apartment filled with wood and various whittling remains, though it was kept fairly clean.
Shortly after departure of the Tipsy Wench, a deeply held secret started to show itself as Shimoje's mental stability started to become more clear. His hand will bear the mark of Lykata and glow with a symbol of Lormar.

Aught you not be behaving so wildy?

Postby Hwyn on May 5th, 2016, 11:56 am

Tit for tat or so it's been said. Hwyn walked along side the man who's dramatized response was just as horrid as his own.

Running, ahead Shimoje almost bested Hwyn's dramatics in his own corny way. Taking his role as Chauffeur in stride, though Hwyn couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or appeasement that drove the display.

“Oh, watch out. This crack is no match for my majesty if I am here!”

“Ma’am, might I ask what events you have planned for tonight?”

“I am sure that an evening relaxing would be just bashing for the two of us.”

Shaking his head in disbelief Hwyn laughed again, this time it was an earnest one, it was not too often he got his way and less often that their were no strings attached to him getting things his way. Dropping the pretentious act Hwyn looked at Shimoje as he walked beside him.

"you really are to kind for your own good ya know, I appreciate it though. Though perhaps if we are to be allies it's best to drop such illusions I'm no more female than you are. At least not with hair like that anyway."

As they made their way through the evening stroll Hwyn did his best to air dry in the mild air and not show the chill, after all a tenant of acting was to not reveal ones weaknesses and he wasn't going to rely on Shimoje more so than was necessary.

As they walked they came back to the travelers row, returning they passed Hwyn's own room by a couple doors and ended up going to the room Hwyn assumed to be Shimoje's it smelled like wood and sawdust and had a quaint lived in look even if it was a bare bones living arrangement.

"so this is the environment witch a whittler of wood whittles away his hours in?" A horrible case of alliteration perhaps but Hwyn delivered it candidly proud of the sporadic alacrity with which he spoke.

The acting and feeling of light emotions swooned across Shimoje and Hwyn. Perhaps it was indeed a bit much, but the overall feel of the situation was a humorous once. Shimoje relished in the moment and enjoyed the acting as if it had been a release from some of the built up anguish he has been feeling himself.

“The kindness is an act too, sometimes.” The acting had seriously exhausted him. Shimoje looked at Hwyn seriously. He remembered back to some of the things that had brought him to Syliras in the first place. His past was a very dark one, and perhaps here he stood with one with a past just as trivial and if not harsher than his own. Shimoje’s previous gestures with Hwyn was almost a cry for help to find someone similar. To find someone to share his experience with, and gain trust with. Shimoje knew that Hwyn had his own set of problems, that much was apparent, but Shimoje just didn’t mind it. He was more interested than anything, on how such a thing could affect one’s mind in such a dramatic way.

“I have had allies in many situations here. I am not looking for an ally. Though, you are right.” Shimoje placed his hand upon Hwyn’s head and rubbed his hand through his hair in a playful fashion while smiling. This occurred for only a brief moment and then soon after they were both in his apartment. For some reason Shimoje was a bit embarrassed, but that quickly subsided with acts of kindness to cover up his awkward embarrassment.

Shimoje went over to his bed where his silver wolf pelt lay, and picked up gently, almost caressing the fur in a way that he enjoyed it. He proceeded over to Hwyn and placed it over Hwyn’s shoulders and wrapped him up with the fur against his body. “This wolf almost killed me.” He whispered to Hwyn. Perhaps he was trying to be kind, but the act seemed a bit more solemn than what anyone would ever care to divulge themselves to.

“I don’t just whittle away at wood though Hwyn. My true passion resides with experiments of all kinds and creating gadgets.”
Shimoje set down his gear and started to get comfortable. He was fairly tired and almost just wanted to head straight to sleep. He didn’t want to just dose off in front of Hwyn though, but his body was almost aching for sleep. He sat down on the floor next to his bed and gently rested his head against it. The weight of his eyelids started to take over, but talking to Hwyn had ultimately kept him mildly awake.

“You are a funny sort, Hwyn.”
He said and continued on to talk about sweet moments of his past. One might be able to understand his ramblings if they perhaps got close enough, but most of his talk was the incoherent speech of a very tired person. Eventually Shimoje crawled up into bed, not really paying much attention and fell asleep.

It wasn’t often that Shimoje would get comfortable sleep. Upon falling asleep if one was to take notice they would see that his face would be riddled with a sort of anguish and sweat.
Shortly after departure of the Tipsy Wench, a deeply held secret started to show itself as Shimoje's mental stability started to become more clear. His hand will bear the mark of Lykata and glow with a symbol of Lormar.

Aught you not be behaving so wildy?

Postby Hwyn on May 9th, 2016, 6:30 pm

Sitting at the foot of Shimoje's Bed Hwyn listened to the man talk and did his best to keep up with him in conversation, even when things Shimoje said were a bit difficult to understand. But such was life, it was however refreshing to talk at length with another person, it wasn't often that he got the chance to talk meaningfully with others.

“The kindness is an act too, sometimes.”

It was an odd statement but not one that didn't make sense, Hwyn could relate to having to pretend for his own safety and survival. But in this case Hwyn wondered if that was a warning or merely a comment made out of world weariness.

"It can be, for certain but I doubt that anyone completely incapable of kindness could manage to fake it, I at the very least think you have been pleasant."

“I have had allies in many situations here. I am not looking for an ally. Though, you are right.”This was followed By Shimoje palming the top of Hwyn's head a ruffling his hair. It was a peculiar gesture but Hwyn reveled in the gesture. The form of casual contact one might have with someone they were close too.

"Maybe... Ally was not the best use for the word, but I'm not particularly good with talking, so uh, I think the feeling stands."

Draping the Wolf pelt over Hwyn telling him that the wolf it had come from had almost killed him. Then Shimoje took to preparing himself to sleep his feature showing signs of obvious fatigue. He wasn't too much older than Hwyn, but his face looked older than it should, his eyes a weariness that only those who are haunted ever really garner.

Shimoje went on to talk on his passion for his art, it was more than just carving it was about creation in multiple forms, not just wood but gadgets whatever those were. Hwyn smiled, even tired talking about his passions brought some vitality to the man. Though Hwyn didn't really understand the specifics of anything that had to do with building things.

“You are a funny sort, Hwyn.”

Shimoje continued to ramble on about his past Hwyn was only able to pick up a little bit, like that he was from Zeltiva, but little more than that. Without Warning the man flopped onto his bed and with a few more mumbled words the man fell asleep promptly.

At this. Hwyn frowned.

Watching the man drift off made Hwyn frown more the man might be sleeping but he was for certain not resting. the way that he scowled in his sleep and sweat beaded on his brow. Puffing out his cheeks Hwyn glared at the man while choosing what to do, he could easily just leave and go home. But he didn't particularly want too, not whn he was looking at someone who was suffering. Hwyn could relate too poor sleep and whie he wasn't one to offer a cure he could offer some advice and maybe comfort, mentally anyway.

Moving from his postion at the foot of the bed. Hwyn Straddled Shimoje sat on the man's stomach and pinched his nose and frowned at him.

"You know it's unwise to fall asleep so easily, especially if you're just gonna have nightmares. I'll have you know I'm not so scary or cruel, than an evening with me would cause bad dreams. So, you talk to me about something pleasant or I won't leave! On second thought, Maybe i am that mean."

Hwyn chuckled. it wasn't the nicest ting but it was done with good intentions. though he hadn't known the man horribly long, and he had already pushed the envelope a fair amount on this evening. Or, maybe it was morning now it was hard to tell.

After waking up from a bad dream, Shimoje came to and realized he had been being straddled. “Not nice to take advantage of a guy while asleep.” He said with a sly smile. “Wouldn’t be the first time though. Least I am not naked this time.” He said to Hwyn who seemed to remain on top of him. They were in the comforts of his own apartment.

“No, you are not the cause for the dreams Hwyn.”
He said, and with a devilish smile he continued on to make a smart remark “Though, if you wanted me to have nightmares, you could have just done this earlier.” Shimoje often would say playful things to others, and his quick witted responses seemed to only grow after spending so much time aboard the ship. He remembered back to his very first time in bed with another, this was surely a very different case, but being woken up so suddenly still resulted in the uncomfortable and awkward excitement a man would have.

Shimoje didn’t really want to think about it, but regardless just laid there in a submissive state wondering what Hwyn meant be something pleasant. Surely Hwyn wasn’t the sort to divulge in such pleasures, but come to think of it, it might explain the costumes of dressing as a woman. No, it had to be much more than that.

“Alright, There is this wench. She is a fine woman, more fine than any I have met before. Aside from of-course yourself.” Shimoje said as if starting a story. His words could probably be better placed as Hwyn might take that phrase as if Shimoje regarded him as a wench. Regardless he continued on “She would travel to a bunch of wonderful places, with a bunch of wonderful people. I was with her for quite some time before coming here to Syliras, and she sure showed me a good time!” He smiled at the twist of his words. He wanted it to come out awkward, just make Hwyn feel that much more awkward as straddling Shimoje.

Plopping his body up and down in a wave fashion “Though, when I rode her she would often be harsh to me.” He tried to emulate the way that waves would feel on the ship, but in his tired state didn’t fully recognize what he was doing. In the hilarious gesture of flopping Hwyn around on top of him he suddenly stopped. “But what lied beneath was often the scary part for me, and that is what I was having nightmares about!” Shimoje laughed knowing that the story would most likely not turn into much of something pleasant and diverted the subject.

“And her wares, oh they were something else, enough to make any man tipsy.”
Shimoje’s play on words just made him burst out laughing deep inside of him, knowing it would most likely confuse Hwyn, but he got what he deserved for waking him up and straddling him, still very early in the morning.
Shortly after departure of the Tipsy Wench, a deeply held secret started to show itself as Shimoje's mental stability started to become more clear. His hand will bear the mark of Lykata and glow with a symbol of Lormar.

Aught you not be behaving so wildy?

Postby Hwyn on May 11th, 2016, 6:26 pm

Perhaps taking a position astride such an apparently devious character had been a mistake. There was a certain deviousness in his eyes that made Hwyn's frown deepen. It was only worsened when the man opened his mouth. As words spilled forth like those from a man induced in a drunken stupor.

As the man babbled on Hwyn became fairly certain that he had been compared to a wench and that further more the man's yarn was quite lewd in origin. Wich was not particularly proper, or really something Hwyn particularly something Hwyn wanted to hear in response to his question given to the man prior of his story. The fact that the man had decided to thrust his torso and pelvis in some reminiscent motion that Hwyn didn't want to speculate on more so than necessary given the context. Furthermore, wares that would make any mans tipsy, that even in context was confusing it was as if Shimoje was speaking of some fictional tryst that had transpired in his past. Not something Hwyn particularly wanted to envision.

"you should be thanking me, not comparing me to your memories. But I suppose you'd rather have nightmares than actually get any sleep?"

Still astride the man but adjusting to avoid proximity to his groin, Hwyn fixed Shimoje with a glare. He then flicked the man's nose gently.

"Perhaps I was in the wring in waking you, I may have grown over confident in my indulgence with someone to talk to after such a long period of unpleasant interactions. If you would have leave of me, you need only ask. Though I must admit that I am hurt that I would be compared to a wench, I always thought myself courtesan level in appearance."

This last line was delivered with a slight grin, hwyn was not unenlightened as to what being an adult meant nor was a prude even if he chose not partake in physical contact with others. So he was able to take the man's behavior in stride. It was an odd if mildly embarrassing sort of compliment. To be looked at with something other than good intentions. But then again it would not be wise to kindle such emotions in others if he did not seek something from them.

"It has indeed been a good night though, even if we've skipped more steps in making acquaintances with each other. Though I'll be having you trace back some of those steps given I see you more in the future."

This two was delivered with a smirk. Hwyn thought ti himself how oddly this night had developed and came to the conclusion that in most respects it had been his fault. He had been to open to kindness, instead of acting with caution he had ended up eating right out of a hand offered. Thusly he had ended up alone in a room with another man. If it had been someone with cruder intentions he may very well not be able to joke so easily. How miserable it felt to realize that about himself.

"well what say you in your defense you wooer of street rats?"

Title:

Shimoje smiled at the youth on top of him. He didn’t mind it, and surely wouldn’t try to engage in anything that he was unwilling, but Shimoje was a little bit curious. “I don’t mind the nightmares, Hwyn.” He said solemnly as lifting his upper body up to look at Hwyn in the eyes. His vibrant greens mixing with a shade of darkness. “I enjoy them, reminds me that I am still alive.” He said with a blank face.

“Do not worry so much. Sometimes I do strange things, but you will get used to them over time. There is a secret I must tell you though, that I haven’t mentioned before.”
Shimoje still looking Hwyn in the eyes. He took his hand to his hair and swiped it away to make for a more direct conversation. “I am a sailor. Aboard a ship called the Tipsy Wench. I leave near the end of spring, and it is likely you will never see me again till next year.” Shimoje’s eyes grew darker, as if all forms of light had faded from them.

He was blankly staring at Hwyn, now convinced to hold him in an embrace, but instead attempted his hands at maneuvering in a way which was less confrontational. “If you want to, you are welcome to sleep here more with me. I am still a bit tired, and then in the morning… I was thinking of walking the beach or perhaps somewhere just as adventurous. I need more supplies.” Shimoje said.

“Hwyn, if you need wooed, I can step it up… but not without your permission.” His eyes shifted to his table which still had a piece of wood he was working on carving. “Though, we have all the time in the world, and if you rather stay awake, I can tell you of my past, and my life aboard the ship instead. Though again, I think I really need to get some sleep, and it has been a while since I have had the company of another.” Shimoje was sad, and lonely. He didn’t much care who he had company with, but he missed the touches of another, well when those touches weren’t out to abuse or kill him.

Shimoje then laid back down, and in the process grabbed ahold of Hwyn’s arm softly. He closed his eyes. “The Tipsy Wench is a ship, which I neglected in showing you at the docks. I am sorry.” Turning his face down into the bed, Shimoje simply started to imagine he was aboard the ship once again.

Aught you not be behaving so wildy?

Postby Hwyn on May 13th, 2016, 12:15 am

Hwyn's frown softened when he watched Shimoje. He had been unfair to the man in his own way without really realizing it. Hwyn had projected onto him ideals in lieu of realities and as such made Shimoje from a stranger into a knight in shining armor. It was funny to think that he had pinned the man down and expected a completely ideal response from him when that wasn't fair to ask. The man, no the fellow boy pinned beneath Hwyn was no more or less human than he was. He was a man as much as he was a boy, it was obvious that he wasn't much older, no more than a few cycles.

That said, Shimoje was indeed kind, and he had indeed lived up to Hwyn's cruel ideals and games better than most had. So in some ways he had perhaps earned a reward. Hwyn was also impressed by Shimojes response on how e felt about his nightmares. It was not a lesson Hwyn was interested in learning but it gave him a unique perspective. Where hwyn would rather run away from his fears, but the teen beneath him would embrace them. That took some sort of power all together.

By the same degree that Hwyn praised the boy he also held some of himself in reserve. Hwyn had made it through this point in his life without ever embracing lusts of the flesh and a keen sense of fear kindled with some sort of fear prevented him from wanting to pursue the heat that otherwise sat in his heart.

Hwyn did smile however.

"I'm afraid that I'm afraid of the results of anymore woognas you put it Shimo, and i forgive you for not showing me this tipsy wench of your's, perhaps you can show me later. So for now, I will take you up on your offer of sleep, it would be nice to hear someone else's breath than my own to sleep too, anyways, forgive my boldness and my Uhh, foolishness, and lets go adventure and talk more tomorrow."

Flopping off of Shimoje Hwyn turned his back to the man and faced the wall and closed his eyes. Not quite yet asleep but willing to fall asleep should Shimoje do the same.

He felt that he had made a friend and it left a warmth in him he hadn't felt in some time. It let him genuinely smile for the first time in a while. Hwyn liked Hhimoje he decided, Wooden roses bad acting tipsy wenches and lusty attitude. They were all things Hwyn decided made Shimoje Shimoje, not ideal not good and not bad, just who he was. Maybe Hwyn was the same way? Though that was likely wishful thinking, after all Hwyn didn't have the same spark the strange had, he was just a puppet that cut it's strings and ran away.

A Trust now born.

Shimoje was indeed lonely, and perhaps that and curiosity, is what led him to pursue such actions with Hwyn. The two had only just met not too long ago, but Shimoje felt that they quickly bonded. He wasn’t even expecting such a thing. The stresses of the city had gotten to him, his life had taken for a turn, and he didn’t know how to take some aspects of it. Shimoje felt Hwyn flop off of him and start to lay beside him. Grabbing the wolf fur, he sat up for a second and covered themselves, but mostly Hwyn.

Shimoje felt happiest in the actions of comforting another, and in turn it comforted himself. In this moment, however he was overjoyed. His heart was racing, and his blood flowing. Despite all of that he was calm, and happy to have gained the trust of another. He felt like he could tell Hwyn anything, but didn’t speak a word. He let his body and his actions do the speaking.

With a show of utter trust, Shimoje laid back down and embraced Hwyn. He scooted Hwyn closer to himself and ran his fingers across his forehead and scalp before gently and quickly falling asleep. This time Shimoje was smiling as he slept, and barely moved at all, except to occasionally place himself closer to Hwyn. Going into a deeper sleep Shimoje would likely at this time not react to anything at all. His breath grew a bit heavier and mind blank. He might be able to hear someone speaking, but when awaking would not remember. Talking to him at this point might react some sort of response as if talking to his deepest and most hidden self.

As the sun would rise, Shimoje would remain in a deep sleep, until finally something would be done to awake him. It wasn’t often that Shimoje would get good sleep like this, and feel almost safe for the first time since his father’s death.

"My Speech." "Other Speech."
