Hey again! So starting this Summer Kestral is opening up a service to the people of Syliras. She is offered to be a guide through the Bronze Forest for citizens who need to enter it, but dont have and wilderness survival experience or know their way around the forest to avoid getting lost.

Because this service can be provided by the Knights for free, most of Kestrals clients will be those people who dont wants the Knights prying into their business, or people who dont like the Knights, or any other reason someone can come up with for not wanting a government blade by their side.

This is something I'm really excited about, I really want to get my Wilderness Survival skills up quickly and I think it would make some pretty good adventure and learning threads. So look at the post here and then shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Just a point though, I am fairly certain the knighthood doesn't give out free escorts through the bronze woods to random citizens.

Yes, they do keep the city and their various outposts safe and lawful, and do stomp down hard on any manner of trouble or lawbreaking. But they don't go about escorting random people in the woods.

It is my understanding that outside of the city and their outposts, knight patrols are focused on major thoroughfares and transport lines and roads like the Kabrin road.

I'm sure there are random patrols, and that they do keep an ear out for bandits making camps as that affects them, but I believe when wandering around the woods you aren't too likely to run into anyone from the knighthood or a patrol to save you if you run into a bear or such.

There is a lot of wilderness, and the bronze woods is a really big area, so it wouldn't be feasible, even if they wanted to, to keep the entire place under guard.

So your clientele wouldn't be limited to just those who wish to avoid the knights, it'd be open to anyone who wants to travel outside of the city and off the beaten path.

I'd also point out its a bad idea to point out in public notices to the general population, in reference to your bulletin board notice post, that you plan to assist and work for people who want to avoid the knights.

Thats a good way to get under the knights notice, which can go quite badly. If your going to attempt to undercut the knights, a bit of subtlety is a good idea. Not that I'd know anything about that.

Clyde thank you so much for making that clarification! I could have sworn I saw something somewhere that said Knights give escorts, but I must have misread somewhere in the two tons of Lore I've had to process in the past two days!

I will edit the Bulletin Board appropriately, along with your suggestion too Ball.
