an apology

I told myself that this wouldn't happen. I promised myself, even. But as ever, life got in the way. About a week and a half ago I was hospitalized for a reproductive health issue. It was pretty frightening at first but in the end, all went well. The chips fell in my favor. I feel lucky, relieved even, but if I were being really honest, I'm incredibly overwhelmed right now. I mean, to the max. I have a wedding to plan, a brand new family to love (and fight it out with, from time to time,) a new language to learn, a surgery to recover from and post-funeral arrangements to make. Whenever I can, I'm sleeping. Which not only makes it difficult to even send the postcards I've been staring at for weeks or keep up with my friends, but also write for this website. And I'm so sorry for that. As writers, you deserve better. So I'm apologizing (AGAIN) in the hopes to get my ass into gear in the near future. But the reality is, until I'm officially spoused among other things, I'm barely treading water.

Please. I really hope if you can find it in your heart to be patient, please grant me that courtesy. Because my feelings about the people I love and the people I write with haven't changed. But my availability has. It feels like every day, a new person wants a piece of me.

Anyway, I still take responsibility. I'm here. I'll be getting back to PMs and plotting ASAP. Thank you for sticking it out.

Please don't feel like you're letting us down. You're not. In fact, you're being honest with yourself. You're telling us that you're not a god who always has time for everything. We, just like you, are human, and understand that life is going to get in the way sometimes.

If you ever feel like you're falling behind, it's okay. Take a break; gather yourself together again. There are other willing people who can step up and replace you while you take a breather. Just do us a favor and don't spread yourself thin. We want you to be healthy and strong, not holding on by a thread.

Congratulations on all the wonderful things that are happening, have happened to you -- I know first hand how stressful moving to another country can be, and mastering another language can be just as difficult. I know duolingo (website/phone&tablet app) is a great resource, and free!! Try livemocha as well.

Hello, Lhavit! I just wanted to poke my head in and say that Dust shall be returning to play this season.
