Gender: Female
Age: 5 years, equivalent of 20 human years
Birthday: 18th Spring, 511 AV
Birthplace: Endrykas
Human Appearance: Loshir is a fairly tall women, reaching 1.75m (5'7"ft). She has a well muscled figure, weighing 65kg (143lbs). Loshir still has a thin layer of fat that smooths her out, hiding her muscles to a degree, making her stronger than she looks.
Her left arm is scarred longitudinally, due to a hunting accident as a child. The scars are ugly, raised and twisted which paint her fair skin a deep red. Her left pinky finger is missing and the tip of her left ring finger. Sensation and control in her left hand is reduced, but she swore it had been getting better over time.
Loshir has long hair, it is brittle and she normally wears it in a messy style, using plaits and proto-dreadlocks to just get it out of the way. It is easily bleached in the sun and normally is a ashy brown.
Her face is delicate and serious, her bright blue eyes are seemingly judging. Her canine teeth are elongated, but only enough not to be obvious.
Clothing wise, Loshir normally dresses in inexpensive leathers or wicker. This is to stop her from spending lots of money on replacing clothing that is damaged in shifting.
Animal Appearance: Loshir is a grizzly bear, she is a large female and her withers reach to 96cm (3'14"ft), and she weighs 203kg (448lbs). Her great mass and long claws (3 inches) gives her an advantage in combat to smaller humans.
Her scars on her left forearm are visible due to her missing fur. The missing digit gives her a slight limp, but doesn’t make her disabled.
Her pelt is a slightly lighter brown than the normal grizzly bear, but her legs and rump are darker. Generally her fur is a warm brown, flecks of different shades of grey, golden and mahogany.
Loshir’s rump and dished face are characteristic of the species and her thick pelt helps protect the skin underneath. Like in her human form, she has blue eyes. They are a much darker blue and therefore do not look out of place, they could even be mistaken for the normal brown.
Character ConceptLoshir is true to her Kelvic race, she is wild and adventurous. She loves exploring and being in nature, this can get her into trouble and she has in the past become stuck in dangerous situations.
She is a persistent person and sometimes doesn’t know when to stop and is something she is actively trying to learn. Lack of exposure to general life as a child means she is rather naive, but she is very aware of this and tries her hardest not to show it. She is frustrated with her nativity and wants to feel, taste and see the things she doesn't know, attracted to the darker sides of life.
However at the same time she is quite serious, she finds it hard to let go and enjoy herself. This is not because she is self conscious as she doesn’t get embarrassed easily.
Loshir wishes for a purpose, she easily feels lost and has an intense need to find companionship. The guilt surrounding her Father’s death hangs over her, and one day she wants to find her Mother once again.
She fears that she is a bad person and that she will never be able to bondmate with anyone.
Her interests include the stars and board games, although she has not had much time to explore these interests she would like to in the future.
She hates card games, for some reason they annoy her, and foot tapping is a pet peeve of hers.
Loshir doesn't know how far her morals go, the fact that she can't identify their hard edges makes her want to find them by exploration.
She does know one thing though, the taste of blood really excites her.
Character HistoryLoshir was born to human parents living in the travelling city of Endrykas. Her parents had good intentions. They were a fairly private family, who felt isolated amongst the Drykas and planned to move away once they had made enough coin.
Loshir’s family has had Kelvics throughout their history, her parents did not want her to form a bondmate before she reached sexual maturity, as they had been told by their parents would be best for her in the long run. As a result she was not allowed to make friends with others in her peer group and instead formed great friendships with her parents.
Her parents were leatherworkers, Father hunted Zibri, and Mother tanned the hides to make goods to sell.
She started to join her Father in their private hunts, and using her bear form, helped increase the amount of leather they could make. Life was pretty good, and when she was 4 years old, her Mother became pregnant.
When Loshir was 4.5 years old (equivalent to 18 human years old) her Father wanted to hunt in a different area. During the hunt, they were noticed by Drykas hunters. They mistook Loshir in her bear form for a normal bear, and before her Father could do anything, she was attacked.
Spears pierced her left leg, and she screamed in pain. In blind panic and fear, Loshir swiped the figure in front of her. The scene was bedlam, screaming and screeching. The Drykas quickly fled.
Loshir woke from her unconsciousness, induced by the pain. All she saw was her Father sprawled out in bloody grasses. He had a deep and fatal gash across his chest.
Loshir had killed her Father.
Shame and guilt followed this event, Mother never took Loshir back in. Whether this was fear of her daughter or depression, Loshir doesn’t know.
Loshir tried to fit into the Endrykas culture. She no place to shelter, the most horses feared her predator smell. She found it difficult to socialise with other people, a result of her isolation. But yet she yearned for a bondmate. She survived a few months by mostly stealing, but after a few close calls she wanted to stop.
She was taught about the world from her Mother, a perhaps skewed version of the world. No one knows everything.
It was Summer of 516AV, she was lost and confused. Loshir remembered the many cities across Mizahar. The world was far bigger than she had ever been taught. In an effort to find a life for herself, with her few belongings, a trusty horse and stolen GM, she made her way to another city.
A city where she can see the world for what it is, a city where she can push her own boundaries. She had travelled and settled in the Tent City of Sunberth.
