The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

People...everywhere...

Urkut had known, coming down to the water's edge to hunt, that it would be crowded. Just the day before, a massive fish had been spotted, and despite the potential of it being a fish-tale, people were swarming all about. No one wanted to miss their chance at the prize. Urkut, however, was looking after a different prize.

With the fish abundant this time of year, and this time of day specifically, birds of prey, bears, and big cats alike were all out too. They were gathered by the water's edge, hunting after the large population of fish, virtually unaware that they were being hunted as well.

Urkut slipped through the muddy bank barefoot as quietly as one could sneak through the wet and sticky ground. She knew it would be less conspicuous to walk through the forest's edge, but she was relishing the feel of earth between her toes. She was so busy admiring the feel of the earth that she almost didn't realize when her feet began to walk in someone else's tracks. When she did notice, she eagerly squatted to examine the prints more closely. They were the distinctive prints of hooves, and rather small ones at that. Mountain deer would be excellent game to hunt, and were about that size, but if she were tracking an elk, she could be risking her safety.

Urkut rose to her feet and glanced around. The tracks seemed to continue on, toward the river's outlet into the ocean, but she could not see how far. Because the creature was not within sight, she decided to gamble on her stealth. Hopefully, she would see the animal before it saw her. To make sure of this, Urkut stepped farther away from the river, onto the quieter, firmer ground. She walked more slowly on the grass, too, to take extra care.

However, as she neared the river's end, she felt she was no closer to the animal. She had yet to spot it, and the tracks meandered lazily about, making them difficult to follow. Still, she had no other leads, so it was the deer or nothing. Begrudgingly, Urkut carried on, her scimitar hanging loosely in her hand.

Just as Urkut felt she was at a loss, the tracks fading and Syna reaching ever higher, she spotted it. A glaringly white deer, lonely at a gathering of brush. Urkut instinctively ducked lower, her eyes widening in excitement. Finally, She thought, Now is my chance.

Down By the Bay

Titus checked his equipment. He had his flippers securely fastened, cutlass on his belt, harpoon over his back, breath bag loaded, clamdigger’s kit netted to his chest then adjusted the goggles over his eyes. The big blonde with tanned hair smirked and fell off the gunwhale of his Casinor, The Maelstrom into the brackish water of the bay. He was not far from where the river emptied into salty waters and mixture created a ripe arena for clams and mussels. The Svefra rolled and pushed off the bottom of his ship to propel his body downward. He kicked his legs and flipped his feet, the fins made every action more productive and it didn’t take long for Titus to reach the shallow incline of the shelf created by the river’s sediment deposit.

Titus found a nice flat space where an entire cluster of clams stretched upwards in several bundles that would cash in more than he could carry in one trip. He instantly got to work. He adjusted the net and used the shovel inside to start prying at the small shelled morsels. Some popped right out while others took a good deal of work. He was starting to feel his lungs burn after gathering six and so he gripped his breath bag and put it to his lips. He turned the slide and inhaled the whole bag into his chest. He pushed the breath bag out of his way. The man continued to dig away at the base. Dirt was kicking up and making the waters murky and his next blow his left hand. Titus cursed and a massive bubble of air fled his mouth and rolled to the surface. He was running out of air but had gathered up four more clams despite bleeding into the water. He secured his gear and started the climb back up to his ship.

Once he reached the surface, the fisherman began to heave things over the side. He started with his goggles, fins, then the clambag but before he could pull himself up and over, he was slammed against the bow by something big and swimming fast. “Mother of Shy-“ He shouted in Fratava before plunging beneath the waves. He opened his eyes and looked around but saw nothing. The mix of salt and fresh water made for such a murky mess that he couldn’t see beyond a few feet. It’s also didn’t help that the water was colder than he preferred. Warm water always had better visibility. Titus turned to try to enter his ship once more when a dark figure came darting towards him from below; Ushaka.

The reef shark didn’t try to bite the man but rather plowed right into the long, toned abdomen of the sailor. Titus rolled with the body check and grabbed the dorsal fin deciding it best to just take the ride. He was wishing he had taken a bigger breath but the fast moving shark was churning enough wake that Titus was able to catch some bubbles here and there. The trick was to try and not swallow too much saltwater. Suddenly, the shark rose to the surface as if sensing the distress of his human. Titus gasped very loudly and drew a huge breath of mostly air but mixed with spray. Then then were plummeted back down into the muddy depths of the basin. Titus had not really swum as much with his tavan as he normally would. The strange layout of the city and the cold water had been active deterrents for him. He supposed this was his friend’s way of telling him to shake off the rubbish and come play.

Titus smirked to himself and began to swat the shark on his sides and fins. He liked to try and disrupt the perfect timing of the shark’s single-motion pattern. If anyone ever watched closely, they would realize that a shark swims so well because they’re action is nothing more than a perfect wave repeated at great speeds with absolute grace. It’s what gives them their power and speed. For Titus, it was a wonderful game to play. Ushaka was used to it and had his own tactics for winning. Having spent way more time in these waters than his Svefra, he knew the underwater terrain and swam up river just a bit before rolling against the shallows of the bank. This sent Titus crashing into the sediment and peeled him from the shark’s back. When his harpoon caught in the muck, it flipped his body and flung the tall man up on shore. After rolling and bouncing for a tick and maybe ten feet, the man got onto his hands and knees and erupted into a coughing fit. He had a nice rope burn across his chest from the harpoon and a big bruise on his thigh. In between gasping for air, coughing out grass and water and trying to stand, Titus was cursing very loudly in Fratava. It was only as he was finally catching his breath that he saw a white-tailed deer. It was staring at him with huge eyes. Titus sat back on his haunches. He’d never hunted deer before. He slowly removed the harpoon from his back and took a solid grip on it with his big hands. The man stood up and then the deer took off upstream.

“Well, petch on ya, ya bastard!” He shouted. Titus looked around. Ushaka was swimming up and down the river showing off his black-tipped dorsal fin and tail. “Show off.”

"Shyke!"

Urkut straightened up abruptly, reaching her full height. She stomped one foot in the manner of a child. It made a soft thumping sound, but she ignored it. She no longer had to be concerned with hiding now that someone- some Kotakbil- had scared the deer away. Instead, she gripped her scimitar in her hand, swinging it angrily in front of her. It made a satisfying sound as it cut the air, but it was not nearly enough to lift her mood. However, she could still try, so the woman continued her assault on the air, feeling her anger fizzle out a little more with each swipe.

As she had been taught, Urkut took a step forward with each swing. She could almost hear her mother's voice berating her for standing so still. If she stepped, it put more force behind it than if she had stood still. However, this also meant she was moving, and gaining ground. Soon enough, she found herself at the same bush by which she had seen the deer. With this realization, she stopped and took a few deep breaths, trying to fully flush away the anger that lingered in her head. She closed her eyes for a tick and faced the ground, allowing the deep breaths to calm her heart. After she had finished her breathing, she looked around and tried to gather her bearings. It was as she was looking that she first saw the fish.

She moved closer, blatantly staring, but was stopped in her tracks by what she saw in the water. The fish- no, it couldn't be a fish- a sea monster was swimming up and down the banks, splashing all about. Its fins poked out of the water, showcasing the size of the black beast. It was certainly larger than Urkut, and that was enough to incite fear. She had fought many beasts in her time in the Jungles of Falyndar, but this sea creature was a new threat.

She took one step toward the river, determined to slay the beast. She rubbed the tiger eye tattoo on her forehead with her left hand, as was tradition before a fight. Her weapon in her other hand, she emitted a low growling sound, not unlike that of a tiger's. It had been a call for attack back home, but now, it was little more than a habit. A different noise stopped her, though, coming from the banks of the river. A coughing. And it was coming from a man.

He was standing by the edge of the water, his entire body coated in muck and wet. Through the mess, she could see multiple brightly colored tattoos, dominated by a blue and waved theme. A sailor, Urkut decided. Despite the state of him, she could tell the man's long hair may have been considered beautiful were it not tangled, and his tall body was statuesque in its shape. He looked strong; he looked like someone who knew what he was doing in the wilds. So why, then, did she get the feeling that this man was the one who had ruined her hunt?

Opting to follow her instinct, Urkut moved ever closer to the man. Her scimitar swung in her hand, making a soft but audible sound. Once she was standing almost directly across the wide river from the man, she shouted at him in a harsh, thickly accented voice.

"Do you plan on catching that big fish for me? It is to make up for the deer hunt you ruined!"

Titus was in the process of washing out his blonde locks and clearing the debris from his face when he heard something strange. He looked around and nothing caught his eye except the gentle slice of Ushaka’s tail moving upstream. Despite the lack of splashing, the shark was swimming at incredible speeds; far faster than anything the Svefra could ever hope to accomplish in his lifetime. He splashed more water on his fact, chest and arms allowing the cold liquid to remove the silt and grass. He sat back on his heels and adjusted the rope on his harpoon; the man was certain he’d have a significant burn from the way it caught against the shore. He blinked his vibrant blue eyes and saw a woman staring at him from across the river. She was dressed very peculiar and brandishing a curved blade. The sight of her brought a wide smile to his handsome face. Her long legs and lithe form hinted at some muscle but Titus was a large man and felt like a little blood-pumping combat might be just the thing to make this day not feel so dull.

Then, like a bell from seasons past, the sounds he had heard were probably words shouted by the girl with the wild hair and strange tattoos. Details were sketchy from this distance but as he tilted his head to study the apparent eye on her forehead, the words filtered through his slightly muddy memory. Something something big fish something something handsome something ruined hunt. Titus rocked back on his feet and held his balance for a brief moment while in a collapsed squat. He stood slowly to maintain his equilibrium but also to allow the tense burn in his leg muscles to reach an intensity that almost resembled work. Once he was at his full height, he winked at the woman. She obviously wasn’t Svefra and so he used the Common tongue even though it made him sound a bit simple. “Aye, lass, that big fish is with this handsome devil. Ya’ve a keen eye…or…three.” He chuckled at himself and adjusted his weapons while checking the water to see for Ushaka’s current position. The tipped tail and dorsal fin were down in the brackish water of the inlet. “Be over in a tick, love.”

Titus bent his knees then launched his body forward with a push from that ran from his bottom, through his thighs and along his calves. His long arms came up above his head as he curled down towards the rushing river. Just before he made impact, his hands came together and sliced his body into the murky current without much splash aside from his feet. He kicked his legs and pumped his arms in alternating fashion digging hard and wide with every stroke. Even though he swam straight towards the girl, the power of the river moved him towards the bay. Halfway across, Titus was already fifteen feet south of the tall female but the fisherman hadn’t slowed in pace. He continued to kick and pull using the rhythm of his body to lift his head on every fourth stroke to gasp for more air. Less than a chime later, he was pulling his form out of the cold rush onto the shore almost twenty five feet south of where he had leapt from the opposite bank. He shook his body out and looked towards the woman.

Barefoot and soaked, Titus seemed right at home. He used bboth hands to pull his hair back adding pressure to squeeze the water out at the same time. “See there? No reason to fret. I’m ‘ere in one piece.” He winked then saw the dark shape of Ushaka swim by and he shook a challenging fist towards the predator. “Too slow this time, ya filthy cuddlefish!” Titus laughed loudly then turned his attention back to his new acquaintance. He stidued her more closely taking in the exotic dress and the manner in which she stood. This woman had some serious moxy and it showed. Titus was liking his decision to swim over already. “Name’s Titus, sweetie. What can I do ya for?”

Urkut was still not used to independent men, despite living in Lhavit for seasons now. She was still vaguely surprised when she saw men with weapons, and still insulted when a woman said she did not work. so it took her completely off guard when the man spoke right back, smiling, winking, and never looking afraid for a single tick. Momentarily distracted, she struggled to piece together his Common in retrospect, which was in nearly as thick an accent as hers.

She knew what handsome was, and by the look on his face, she knew he must have been referring to himself. Urkut could barely resist the urge to roll her eyes at that one. He was cocky, too confident, and he didn't even try to hide it. It was a flaw of his, she could see. Perhaps something she could manipulate. She filed this fact away to memory.

But then, just as she had finished classifying him as a non-threat, he ended by calling her "love". This was perplexing, and set Urkut's analysis back. Perhaps it meant something else in his native language, she mused. Or perhaps he's mad. He must know we have no friendship.

With that said, the long man leapt into the water, powering through the river and past the monster in strokes that would have put the White Rapids clan to shame. Though the currents carried him, he was relentless. She found herself once again admiring his skill as his arms tore through the water. He is...competent. Perhaps not completely useless. She would give him that, albeit begrudgingly.

When he reached the bank, he pulled himself out of the water gracefully. He smiled at her, laughed, even winked again, and joked about the monster being a "cuddle fish". The "cuddle fish", if it was what it sounded like, was not frightening at all, and made Urkut blush under her tanned skin for being afraid of something that he made sound so soft. Before she could even turn her head away and hide the blush, he was talking again. Introducing himself. "Name's Titus, sweetie. What can I do ya for?"

Titus...

It was not a name she was familiar with personally, nor one she had heard of in old stories or legends back home. She knew not what race it came from, nor any possible affiliation with a city. And most of all, she didn't know the reason that he continued to call her "love" and "sweetie". Confused and unable to express herself properly in the constriction of Common, Urkut could already feel herself getting frustrated. So when he finished introducing himself, and was quiet and still for the first time, it was as though he had unleashed a barrage of sharp words from the Myrian.

"Titus? Who are you thinking you are?" She barked, slightly louder than appropriate. Her weapon-bearing hand raised rapidly in preparation for defense as she fired off her first round of sentences.

"I am not understanding anything you say, Deyhan. I know that you are named Titus, and that you believe the sea creature to be not threatening. But I cannot understand your "love" or "sweetie", or the reason you think you can get away with destroying my hunt, and doing nothing to make it up."

Urkut took a deep breath, trying to settle herself. She knew she needed to keep a level head, but it was so slow, and so agonizingly difficult for her to talk things through that she almost would've preferred to have simply cut off his head. Instead, she continued her polite approach through a tense jaw.

"It could be that you can understand me better than I understand you. Let us try. I am Urkut of the Tiger Eyed. And I wish you to settle your debt to me."

Postby Titus Galesong on July 12th, 2016, 12:11 am

Titus was not the smartest man. Honestly, he didn’t really consider himself smart at all unless one was referring to being a smartass; then Titus felt comfortable with such a title. He drifted in and out while she talked studying her tattoos and figure. He had never met such a tall woman and the possibilities of such long and muscular legs had the fisherman firmly sailing through a waking dream when she used his own words back at him. The way she said love and sweetie brought up a stifled giggle from the big man who was suddenly paying very close attention. Slightly disappointed by the conversation’s turn, the Svefra decided to make the best of it. It was a talent that he felt truly blessed to have. Urkut. He repeated the name several times in his mind. It was brief and exotic. It reminded him of tales he’d heard from older Svefra of the jungles of Taldera. Titus smiled and waited until she was finished, his right eyebrow arching at her insistence that he make it up to her.

The young man took a deep breath and was about to answer but stopped. All this time he had neglected the weapon she wielded in her hand. The oversight gave him more than a pause; his sensible side gave him a silent tongue-lashing that brought a bit of color to his tanned cheeks. The unheard dialogue suddenly spawned an idea that rang of true brilliance…or absolute stupidity. “Settle my debt? Well, Urkut, I hail from the Galesong pod and your failed hunt is neither my concern nor my problem.” He took a step to the right carefully crossing his left foot in front of his right which gave his body a bit of a turn reducing the breadth of his exposure to the woman. His hand idly slipped along his still-wet frame towards the belt where the hilt of his cutlass, fingers played with the cold metal guard. He took another step and then another, his hips twisting back and forth with each well-placed foot. The action created a slight arc as he continued this course all the while maintaining a pleasant face and solid eye contact. Suddenly and without provocation, the cutlass hissed from its sheath and into view.

“How about we move past your lack of skill as a hunter and just have a nice little duel?” Titus winked and spun his wrist around causing the cold steel of his blade to sing briefly through the air. He continued to move in a circle around Urkut being ever conscious of the ground beneath him. He used his splayed toes and the balls of his feet to maintain a nimble stance of balance and reaction. The sailor was fairly confident in his skills with a blade but it never hurt to exercise caution. Titus lifted his chin a bit at the woman. “Loser owes the winner lunch!” Provided we’re both still alive… Titus thought. He had heard much folk lore about the women from the savage jungle and their prowess in battle. Still, the temptation to get tangled up with the tall beauty was something that Titus felt justified creating the challenge. The slow progression long the river bank soon gained the attention of the big fish that had returned and was swimming back and forth as if waiting for something. Titus paid Ushaka no mind and continued to taunt Urkut with his steady circling and lewd actions like blowing her kisses and testing the tip of his blade for the smallest amount of proximity to Urkut’s legs.

She knew he was taunting her to see a reaction. He wanted her to grow angry, to accept the challenge out of pride, to lose her head. Though Urkut knew this, she still could not contain herself.

He acted as though he were entitled to this chance to redeem himself. He deserved no such thing! He was an outsider, he was a poor hunter- a ko'takbil- and he would starve the clan if he were even allowed to call himself a member of this...Galesong pod.

Urkut started when he whipped his sword from its sheath. It wasn't something she had noticed earlier, and she cursed herself for ignoring the practical aspects of his appearance. Luckily, she could feel her brain speeding up as she slipped into a mode for battle. Her Gnosis hummed, lighting up her blood with the prowess of Myri. It was not as strong in her as some more revered warriors, but she still had the natural Myrian gift to give her that small edge.

With her mind already buzzing, the insult to her skill and the challenge given to her all combined were too much. She didn't know the meaning of the word "duel" but his meaning was clear. And she was more than willing.

"Fine, Deyhan," She agreed, "We will...duel."

Urkut took a step back, swinging her blade loosely, feeling its familiar weight in her hand. It was like coming home, to slide into that elevated state of being when she fought. It was addicting almost, and she worried that should she choose to pursue more power- like the Flux- she may never leave it alone. As it was, her mouth watered at the idea of a fight. She dismissed the worries of addiction as easily as waving away a fly.

She was stronger than that.

"I will use scimitar, and you will use long sword, yes? No other weapons. No using.." She paused to gesture to the shark in the water. "Your water beast. But fists are good if weapon is gone. Understand?"

Urkut raised her weapon and eyed her opponent up and down. "On call of you, Deyh- Titus." She offered.

Titus watched the woman take a stance of practiced battle and it dawned on him that his mouth may have just gotten him into a heap of trouble. Sadly, the big lummox enjoyed being in trouble. Some might even say that he was a glutton for punishment but that would be a lie. The truth was closer to his Svefra nature that he enjoyed life to the fullest every day and sometimes that led to confrontations. It was just a fact of life and the realization of this gave the sailor some peace. He rolled his head from side to side while his crystalline blue gaze studied his opponent. He rolled his shoulders about and then swung his arms in and across his broad chest then allowed them to swing back out. He repeated this stretch about six timed before interlocking his fingers and inverting the hold. Pressure was then applied and caused the joints closest to his hand to pop; all eight of them.

When the woman issued her challenge, she half called him a name but stopped. It must be some kind of insult from the land of face tattoos. Titus grinned and winked at the woman. If he was going to have his arse handed to him, he was going to be certain that the chick knew it was all a game to him. It’s a benefit to not taking life too seriously; no one ever thinks that you try your hardest. He took a couple steps forward, unarmed and when he got within about ten feet of her, his hands flashed quickly into action. The motions were simultaneous but separate as his left hand outstretched and made a flash across his chest and face while the right reached down and drew his cutlass. The slightly curved blade drew out without a hitch and came with point up and blade straight as the left hand went back to being an idle puppet in a game of carnivores.

The sailor took another step forward and then began to step to the left. He made careful crossing and straightening steps alternating between the two as he started an arc that soon brought him close enough to Urkut. He made a right feint with his leg only. He made another cross and then an opening step before he made a second lung but this time, his cutlass came straight out from his body, arm tight to his form. The pass was aimed at her midsection and would be easily deflected. Titus’ main focus was to maintain a firm grip on the hilt because he didn’t want to be disarmed on the first contact. That would be like getting a woman into bed and not being able to get her knickers off quick enough. The thought made him laugh out loud but there was definitely not a linear path to what he was thinking and what he was doing so he felt safe in that knowledge.

Game on.

Child of the Sea

NoteI was curious to see how the script would read. If it's too difficult for you, let me know and I'll change it. ;) Thanks for the patience!

OOCThe font isn't too terrible. It might be better if it were darker, just for some contrast, but I was able to read it just fine.

Everything about Titus' movements were amusing.

The way he stretched was so showy, as if he were doing it for an audience. Perhaps he was, if Urkut could be considered an audience all by herself, but she could not even entertain this idea. He winked and flexed- as if his ability to stand still and yet look like he was doing hard work would impress her. Of course, the popping of his knuckles did make his muscles stand out in tantalizing ways, and the way that he taunted her made her burn with a passion she wasn't sure how to handle. It all made her wonder if she wanted to be him, or love him.

Luckily, she wasn't forced to consider the paradigm for too long. He stepped forward slowly, alerting her to his readiness in a strangely thoughtful manner. Was he trying to give her an edge up? Or was it all mind games?

Either way, the result was that he distracted Urkut enough to give him time to draw his weapon. The sound of the cutlass reverberated around them, leaving Urkut's ears ringing lightly. To some, this would have been yet another distraction, but to her, these were the sounds of home. She fell back into her battle stance as if on cue, pulling her scimitar up and at the ready, protecting her soft organ-filled ventral side.

Titus feinted around her, causing her to flinch in the wrong direction, just briefly. Idiot. Focus. You know better. Recovering from her mistake, Urkut tracked Titus' movement around her body, rotating on her feet. He lunged for her side predictably. She left her blade where it was, merely turning her body to allow the cutlass to clash with it. The sound of metal on metal rang again, telling her that the block was successful. A blade with a different curve may have caught the cutlass and pulled it from his grip, but her gently arcing scimitar let it slide off easily.

She used this time to twirl around, knowing that his blade would still be on the downswing while she moved. Facing Titus at last, she brought her scimitar into an offensive position. A deep, primitive growl forming in her throat and a fierceness in her eyes, Urkut wound up her swing. Her arm arced high into the sky dramatically- for what would the victory mean if it were not beautiful?- and brought her weapon down towards Titus' shoulders. The blow was not aimed to kill, and in fact, slowed down minimally as she neared his flesh.

What are you doing? Her mother's voice hissed in her mind. Drive your blade deep. Let him feel the wrath of Myri. A loser is not the child I raised.

Urkut felt her eyes water at her mother's haunting words, but she blinked away any semblance of tears quickly. You raised me none, mother. She thought, recovering from her swing by taking a single hop backwards.

Titus was not surprised to have his strike harmlessly parried away. He allowed his arm to flow with the forces instead of trying to control them. The sword tip fell towards the earth so the sailor swung his arm over his head and back around to his front. He then flicked his wrist to right the blade vertically once more. The blue eyes flicked to see the tall woman raise her blade to the sky. “Do you always growl on first dates?” He asked in Fratava. The slip back to his native tongue was inevitable since his focus was on staying alive. He pondered why but wasn’t given much chance as she brought down a powerful blow aimed towards his shoulder. The child of Laviku raised his cutlass and held it horizontally across his body. The two blades met with a loud clash of metal that reverberated through the area.

Titus bent his knees and absorbed the weight of her strike by flexing his bicep and allowing his shoulders to dip to the right. The man grinned despite having the sharp edge of her scimitar stop only a few inches from his face. He focused his azure gaze into her deep brown pools and for a moment he thought he saw tears. Was this woman conflicted about their fight? Titus didn’t linger on the distraction but he would certainly ask about it over some food.

When Urkut leapt back, the stored up energy in his arm released and trailed his blade against hers which made a short burst of that scraping sound blades make. Titus’ cutlass was now fully extended from his arm and the large man took a few steps to bring them both back into striking distance. He tilted his head forward and stared at her with a mischievous expression that displayed his bright eyes and big smile.

Without warning, the man flashed his blade inward with a quick horizontal slash mid-torso. Titus anticipated a direct block so once his wrist reached her centerline the strike would be retracted. The fisherman took a subtle step forward with his left foot while his sword, still in motion, was spun up and in by his wrist. His arm exaggerated the spinning blade so the slash moved downward from above Urkut’s head at an angle that would pull her blade away from her body. If left unblocked, she would have a much shorter and slightly crooked mohawk. All of this was a diversion, of course, for the left foot’s advance was just the beginning. Titus reached his left arm forward to wrap around her waist while the right arm was making its downward slash. His goal was to pull her up against his body and potentially steal a kiss. Naturally, if he was unable to divert the sword, he would abandon the sneaky ploy for intimacy and sidestep into another round of combat footwork.
