Wild Again (Aleksi)

[Tebridiar]

Gosh.

Every fibre of her body felt drawn to this girl right now. She wanted to kiss back, but thought better. She didn't want to come on too strong. She still wasn't exactly willing to disclose just how strongly she felt, not yet. She still wasn't sure. But the kiss at her kneck had felt wonderful. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy again.

Nott. He was gorgeous. A Drykas was never a Drykas untill they had their trusty strider! Just lucky for Aleksi, she now in a way had two.

Tebridiar was quite taken aback... live with Aleksi in her tent? It surely was too good to be true... wasn't it? But she didn't want to throw away Kayiri's charity.

"Well, Aleksi, like I said I was going to be leaving for Syliras this week." She sighed. "But... Our travel plans, well, they sort of got derailed. Kayiri looked into it and it was going to take nearly two months just to get to the city. And Id sort of planned on getting there and back again in that time! So, I am staying here this Winter. Plus, I am a little... grateful. I was upset at the thought of leaving, and not seeing you... I get to spend more time with you." Tebridiar blushed.

"And come and live with you? That would be fantastic!" She was trying hard to control her excitement. "But, I can't just ditch Kayiri. So, if the offer still stands, soon I'd love to join you! But Ill need to notify Kayiri first." Hopefully that was a good enough explanation.

[Aleksi]

Aleksi smiled as wide as she could, hearing the girl's plans for the winter. It seemed like luck is really heading Aleksi's ways. Her fingers played with the girl's hair as she listened to her talk.

Aleksi knew she felt the same time. She knew she would be very, very upset if Tebridiar left without spending at least a bit time with her. She liked her, oh so much more then she would admit herself of anyone else. Did this turn into addiction? Love?

Aleksi had to shake that thought out of her head before the girl continued about living under Aleksi's tent. She understood everything Tebridiar was saying and she never took any of it in a bad way
I understand, my dear, that is why I said if Kayiri doesn't mind it.... And don't be silly, she whispered as her fingers stroked the girl's cheek You know the offer will always stand

It felt so soothing to have her finger run through her long hair, combing out all the little tugs and tassles Tebridiar had got from running around in the grass.

It was good to know she understood the situation, but she was please that Aleksi wanted her to come and live with her. But what did that imply? Would people guess? Would they know? It was strange, it was as if they had something to hide, when they didn't. They weren't even technically going out with eachother... Yet Tebridiar was absolutely certain there was more than friendship here. It was obvious. Aleksi had seen Tebridiar with no clothes on, she had seemed to like it, they had embraced eachother and kissed. Although not a proper kiss. Tebridiar was sure friends kissed eachother on their foreheads... Maybe not their necks. But it felt different from being friends with someone.

Is this what a bond feels like?

She felt protective and protecting, respected and respectable, like she would do anything for her. But she had only just met Aleksi... was it instinct? Was it something deeper?

Tebridiar didn't know how to say what she thought. They hadn't gone too far, not yet. Tebridiar still looked very young, it would be strange. She was itching to voice her feelings, but she didn't know how.

Was it even right to feel this way for a girl? She hadn't thought like that before. She didn't care about genders when love was concerned. But she always had thoughts... what would her mother have thought of this?


Tebridiar just leant in closer to the girl in front of her. She was too confused to say anything. Everything seemed so clear. Maybe they just had a mutual understanding. A little tear dripped down her cheek as she started to cry.

[Aleksi]

Aleksi sighed softly, her hand moving onto Tebridiar's head, holding it as her lips kissed that cheek where the tear was "Come now... there's nothing to cry for... ".

She wanted to say so many things though, so many things that she knew were wrong, wrong around the people she belonged to. She was a woman and she was made to marry a man and have little Drykas children running around and yet, she felt strongly for this strange creature. This beautiful creature crying in her arms.

Did Tebridiar feel the same? Was she scared? Was this what a bond felt like? Was there even such a thing as the bond?
Aleksi wasn't sure of anything anymore, but at the same time, she knew one thing, the most important thing to her right now... Nothing and no one, but Tebridiar herself, will stop Aleksi from protecting and holding this girl when she needed it.
"Now, now... You're a big girl, remember? Or should I take you home and sing you a lullaby till you fall asleep?", she knew this was a lame way to try and make the girl smile, but not like she could do much more

[Tebridiar]

Tebridiar couldn’t stifle a little giggle that escaped her lips.

“Yes, everyone thinks I’m really young, I look It I guess. Ill probably look a bit older in a few months, then Ill stop growing. Then people will see how old I really feel." She was only four, but in human years she felt older than a teenager. "I just get a bit emotional sometimes, just ignore me!” She giggled, feeling the tears just go away. Aleksi knew how to melt them.

“Yeah, and while I wouldn’t object to being carried home with you, I don’t think lullabies are my thing. Maybe when I was about two…” Tebridiar smiled again.

“Thank you Aleksi. For everything. You’ve made me happy again, you’ve shown me how to live again, not just scrape by. I think I know how I feel about you. We definitely aren’t just friends, I know it. I don’t know how to tell you, but one day I’ll have the words.”

Could she do it right now? She wanted to try something first. Test the water.

And with that, Tebridiar quickly gave Aleksi a little kiss on the lips.

She went a funny maroon colour. Had she done the right thing, or had she acted like an idiot?

Aleksi giggled quietly at the comment about lullabies. She was happy and content that her lame try actually worked. This creature was meant to smile. A tear should never touch her cheek, ever.

Feeling Tebridiar's lips on her own made her shiver and close her eyes. That strong heart Aleksi had in her chest was beating like mad. What happened just there? Would it be right to return the kiss?? Aleksi knew it would feel more right then anything, but would it be a good thing?

Her eyes opened and the palm of her hand gently stroked Tebridiar's cheeks. Her lips brushed against the girl's before moving up and kissing her forehead
"My dear, I want you to know something", she whispered, her face filled with pain and care at the same time "You drive me insane.... You are the only thought of mine when I go the bed and the only one still on my mind when I get out of bed.... I am crazy about you... but I can see you are still not sure about this"

It was obvious Aleksi didn't mean anything bad with what she has just said, only being concerned how people around them will handle it and how the creature she cared about so much would handle it.

Besides, promising Jarhal she would spend most of the winter with him, training did not help one bit. And then again... she was not sure if she was able to give anything to Tebridiar... What if she gets hurt? What if she gets killed in a hunt?? What if.... There were so many Ifs

What?

Sorry, what?

She just said I drove her crazy… she just said… Tebridiars mind was racing. She was breathing heavily, her chest heaving. She couldn’t believe it. When she kissed her back it felt amazing, wonderful, she felt all tingly, it started moving from her lips to the rest of her body, warming her up. Aleksi did care for her... She wished this could have happened on the first night they had met, in the clearing. If she hadn’t tried to walk away…

“I… you mean that?” Tebridiar tried to summon words, but they couldn’t describe anything. She couldn’t sum it up. Now she knew what she had to do. “Aleksi, you have no idea how much… how much that means to me. You make me crazy too… your like a drug, I don’t think I can function without the promise of seeing you. If you weren’t there, there would be no light at the end of the tunnel, no stars, no… anything. Life would just be… a passing thing. My life has been so awful, and when I came to Endrykas everything just seemed to get better. But it was still… hollow. Then you appeared and the light came on again, and everything was clear, I could see again.” She could say it all now. What she’d been meaning to say, and it felt amazing to get it off her chest, to feel it slip out of her mouth like honey or butter. It felt so natural, so easy, so right.

This felt right. She was sure of it.

And yet, she still felt these words were inadequite. She felt Aleksi was so much better than anything she could ever say.

“If I seem unsure, Aleksi, its because I am unsure. I’m unsure of what I have ever done to deserve someone like you.” All she could do was look into her eyes, she never wanted to break that gaze.

“Ive never felt I’ve been good enough, never. I felt I deserved to be punished by him, all the things he did, he made me believe I deserved them. I used to hate myself, every day I just thought it would be easier if it all stopped. As if it was all I was ever good enough for. I feel different now.”

Aleksi smiled lovingly, so lovingly that it was obvious what it meant. Holding the girl's face in her hands as she kissed her forehead again, then her nose and then her lips, just a tiny, little kiss.

Her heart raced and she shivered, not from cold though, but from the touch that went straight to her heart. Tebridiar's words were touching her, scratching so deep that the scars seemed like they would never heal. But the scars didn't hurt... They burned, they burned with passion and love she felt for this little creature.

Yes, it was love... Aleksi was sure of it now as she wrapped her arms around the girl again. Smiling wide, she whispered quietly "You are such a perfect little thing.... How could one ever think about doing anything other then making you happy". It was true, or well, at least to Aleksi. She meant every word she said, while feeling her heart racing.

Nothing in the world existed but Tebridiar for her. Nothing mattered, not even Luc, nor Nott... it all went away just because of one hug and a warm kiss.

She wanted this to be IT... She wanted it and yet she was scared that Tebridiar wasn't sure. That IT felt so right, so much more right than anything she has ever felt. Was she meant to bond to a Kelvic? Was this her destiny? Aleksi had hoped for that right now, more then for anything ever.

Tebridiar could just stand there and be kissed all day, every day. Like a frozen frame, stuck in time. Everything else just evaporated away until it was just them standing there, nothing else seemed to cross her mind or worry her. Well, the only thing that could worry her was losing this special moment, and that was it. She could just imagine them lying in an endless grassy plain, together all day long.

“Aleksi, I think I love you.” The words slipped out, and she wondered if she had said the right thing. But if what Aleksi said was true, it was the right thing. Tebridiar just felt that it was. Was this destiny? Was she supposed to have came to Endrykas? Maybe this was why all the horrible things had happened her, so she could be rewarded with something so perfect.

A Kelvic was supposed to bond. This was who she was supposed to bond with, surely? She’d known her in a tiny space of time and she knew her this well, felt this strongly towards her. It had to be. It couldn’t be anything else. She felt as if there were little strings trying to tether them to each other, and they were becoming stronger, one day they could be ropes.

She knew what she wanted.

“All I want is you.” She whispered, nuzzling so close to Aleksi she could hear her heart beating. It was so fast, excited and alive. “When I close my eyes, you are all I see. Like your imprinted on my eyelids or something.”

She did want to bond. But she expected most Kelvics waited a while. And she didn’t want to rush Aleksi, make her feel pressured into anything. She thought she would have to look older, too. That was the major problem. Aleksi looked like she was in her late teens, but Tebridiar looked a few years younger. Below the age of consent. Her body just didn’t look mature enough. However, Tebridiar had even grown in the two months she’d been in Endrykas. She expected that by the Spring, she would look possibly the same age as Aleksi, or maybe even older.

She knew it would be controversial enough if Aleksi was seen bonded with a female Kelvic. But one that looked as if they were about fourteen? It would be scandal.

And this threw her into a huge turmoil.

Aleksi melted at Tebridiar's words. Could this be true? Could this girl actually love someone like her... a Drykas warrior who has spent all her life fighting. It was incredible and so, so beautiful. Aleksi couldn't stay calm anymore.. She sighed deeply and whispered in a caring tone "I'm sure I love you too, my dear.."

The words went over her lips and they rang in her ears for a long time. Were those the right words? Could she be mistaken? Could this be something else?
After all, she was a Drkyas woman. A woman who was meant to be with a man, a warrior that would hold her through a cold night.

Could she have both? Maybe that was... No... Aleksi shook that thought out of her head and kept Tebridiar close.

Her people would never accept the fact that she was with a female, and especially if she looked so young. Maybe they should wait with everything, just a bit longer. Tebridiar seemed to be growing each day. It shouldn't take long.

Aleksi knew it would feel like hell though, hell that she would be the one burning in over and over again. But it was worth it, Tebridiar was worth it. No one would ever tell her different
