In case anyone was wondering, I wanted to spoon feed you some info concerning Icewatch.

• Anyone can join.
• Everyone has to be an apprentice first.
• The timeframe of apprenticeship is determined by the player.
• Every apprentice must complete a task for each Hold branch making 7 total.
• I assign tasks.
• They can be completed in any order.
• 3 easy tasks require a 2500 word thread each.
• 2 medium tasks each require 2 threads of 2500 words.
• 2 hard tasks will each require 3 threads of 2000 words.
• These will be your job threads and only the 5k/season is expected.
• You can do more than is necessary but it will not boost your pay.

I have not solidified the aspect of expenses and compensation yet but wanted to make sure everyone was aware of what was expected. That is all.

I have homework for you.

The Linkmap is HUGE!!!! Lots of people have put a ton of work into the locations but I'm wondering if it's too much. If you find yourselves combing through lore/etc in a rather aimless fashion (which happens to me sometimes), please take a look at some of the things in place in the city. I would like each of you to list 3 things you absolutely love and 3 things you don't believe to fit in Avanthal (can be any reason). Once you've done this, whether completed or partial, post it to my office. If you can manage, please provide the link but if not, the name will suffice. Thanks for your help and patience!

Hello Snow Bunnies & Ice Trolls!

It's been a minute since I gave you an update and with things being rather slow, I found myself in a place where I was trying to do too much and ended up spinning my wheels. So, to bring us back around to the proper trajectory, I'll start with some announcements.

• Several posts will go up tomorrow regarding events of the current season. Be attentive.
• The grade thread is not being cleared because there are some pending issues with completed grades. If you have trouble or questions, contact the grader first. If they persist, ask me.
• When filling in key aspects of Avanthal in your threads, please do not take liberties without consulting me. Ex: All Icewatch members ride their kelvic polar bear mounts. These are bonded pairs and it is part of the IW process. They would not separate nor ride horses. Note: Predatory kelvics cannot ride horses.

Alright, on to the next order of business. The IceWatch! While I have not finished the page for the Codex, I am going to post the process one will take to join -well, attempt to join.

1. Apprentice - this period involves a series of tasks assigned by me for the PC to become familiar with the various duties associated with each branch. Pay is 5 gm/day and PC remains within his or her respective hold.
2. Recruit - Once the tasks have been finished, the PC will be asked to choose a branch. Then they become the helping hands who soak up all of the inane tasks that no one else wants like cleaning the barracks, keeping night watch over the other recruits and apprentices as well as going through all sorts of training. This is the period where they will get to interact with recruit kelvics and hopefully bond. Pay is 6 gm/day but PC moves into the IW barracks.
3. Icewatch - When a bond is made, the pair will be sent into the wastes for 5 days to survive. Complete this and WHAM... Icewatch. This will be a moderated thread. Pay is 10 gm/day but the pay scale modifier starts at Competent not Novice.

Apprentice Tasks – one for each hold [Farscouts excluded]
3 - Novice - 2500 words
2- Intermediate – 2 threads @ 2500 words each
2 - Difficult – 3 threads @ 2000 words each

One can complete the tasks in any order and at any pace so long as 5k words are done each season to account for your job threads. You may work faster if you choose. Note: Job threads are still threads. 1 Novice task and half of an Intermediate task would satisfy a season's wage requirements.

To join Farscouts, I am putting together a whole separate process which will involve gaining a second gnosis mark from Morwen so more to come on that. I wanted to put this where everyone could find it. If anyone is interested, drop a line in the Job/Wage thread requesting a job change and a set of tasks.

I do have stuff in progress and I apologize for the delays. Much has gone on both in and out of Miz. My main goal for the rest of this season is to do some writing with you guys. As always, let me know if you have any questions.
