Outside the Wolf's Cave
What an evening she'd had last night. After being spat into the city, she had been fortunate enough to see the sign for the Sanity Center, and more fortunate to have just caught the door before it closed for the night. Having enquired within about somewhere to sleep for the night, she had been told the Wolf's Cave, or the Cubacious Inn... the former had sounded more interesting and so she'd spent far more time than she would have originally liked going backwards and forwards through what looked like the exact same street until she found the entrance to the Wolf's Cave. Inside, she had tumbled into the first bed offered, and immediately fallen asleep, more tired than she cared to admit and still wearing her human form.
Fortunately, she'd woken as early as she could, after a very decent night's sleep. She freshened up with the basin of water provided, and left the cave for the wild illusions of Alvadas. The day was dark still, far colder than she appreciated, but nonetheless she grinned, stretched and yawned before walking out into the world. The cramped conditions of the Luiana were quickly forgotten as the sun started to very steadily rise above the walls of the city. And it was a beautiful one too, so many buildings of different styles and colours, some painted, others built like miniature castles or designed in strange shapes. And there were illusions too, or that's what they must be. A trio of miniature, turquoise wolves playfully nipping at her feet as she walked past, causing her to yelp and jump. A man with two faces, one back, one front, who winked at her as she walked past. A child waving streamers that smelt of cherries, charcoal, chocolate...
It truly was a place of wonder, and she loved it already. Her skin felt electric, her brown eyes wide with excitement as she watched the world go by, even as she walked along streets she was sure she'd seen only moments before. She could probably have spent an entire day walking through the city without doing anything else, but as the day became morning properly the first shop she'd seen came into view.
It was a small building with a flat roof. Through it's tiny windows, the dull glint of gold and silver beckoned. With a curious smile (for what were the shops in Alvadas going to be like?), the woman stepped through the door.
OOCSo, if anyone wants to join, I intend to use each post for a location, before moving onto the next. That might change though, depending on how I feel. xD Anyone's welcome to pop in!
