Sayana watched the Chaktawe carefully. Her legs were bent slightly, ready to spring forwards if the woman chose to fight or bolt. For a moment the black-eyed woman seemed uncertain, especially as Stardust began to paw at the ground, and then a smile curled upon the predator’s lips. Sayana nearly stopped her counting right then, prepared for an attack, but just as suddenly the woman released the mare and skipped out of the way. The Eypharian’s attention was almost solely on her horse and she bounded forwards to grasp the reins.
“Go. I do not want to see you.” Sayana replied bluntly. She held her horse close, and she stood in front of it in a protective manner. One of her mid hands brushed over the horse’s neck soothingly but the anxiety of the animal was still clear.
“You have your life. Now go.”
Had Sayana’s camp not been right there, she probably would have left on her own accord. But as it was, she had no intention of packing anything up for the likes of a stranger. Her gaze was wary and her left low hand remained touching one of her daggers. It still wasn’t drawn but all it would take was an instant.
