Spring 72(Midnight)
The cold night air bit into Garland's flesh as the squire ran through the thickness of the bronze woods, trying to make his way back to the city of Syliras and hopefully report what had happened to him.
He was hoping Sayana could find her own way in the forest and that she stayed safe, he wants to catch up with her after this was over. Garland rushed through the darkness of the night, feeling his way to the direction of Syliras.
Just then, heavy horse hooves clop along the ground, getting louder and louder. Garland turned and saw a figure with a torch, riding on a stallion coming from the direction he had gone from, and had a sword drawn.
Garland knew just who this was. He stared at the figure with seething hatred and anger. Garland gave a feral battlecry, almost a roar, and rushed forward towards the charging horse and planted his feet on the ground, ready to take the horse head-on.
The figure riding the horse spured the stallion faster, hoping to trample the squire into fine paste. Garland stayed his ground with grim determination in his eyes.
When the horse finally made contact with Garland, the squire felt the wind get knocked out of him as he was pushed back a few feet, but the anger inside him kept him from getting knocked over.
Garland grabbed the horse's neck with his arms and twisted his body, making the horse fall to the side, neighing in panic as the stallion hit the grassy ground. Garland panted and paused to catch his breath.
The man got up from the horse and brandished his blade, the torch had fallen from his grasp and landed on the ground, near Garland's feet.
Garland picked up the torch and stuck it to the ground, making sure the fire doesn't catch the grass and set the forest alight. The person who attacked Garland was a knight, a traitorous knight that sold him and Ser Corak, another knight to slavers.
This traitor's name was Greveth, and Garland wanted his blood sprayed on the ground, and his head on a spike.
Garland stepped back, he was already in a familiar stance, Greveth was not a bandit, he was a trained as a knight, Garland had to be careful because he was without his own sword, he was skilled with his fists, but a blade would be better.
"You and your stupid honor, do you know how much gold I lost when you let those squires run away?" Greveth called out and rushed forward with blade in hand, swinging wide with two hands on the blade.
Garland dodged to the side and threw a powerful haymaker to Greveth's head, Garland threw his entire weight and body into that punch, his muscles ached at the sudden movement that was forced on them.
The punch itself made the knight stumble back from the force of the punch, but he barely maintained his footing. Garland shook his hand, seeing his knuckles bruise. There was a visible dent on the knight's helmet from Garland's punch.
Now that Garland could see the blade the knight was using, he knew why this weapon looked familiar. "Give that back." Garland said slowly, and glared even deadlier at the traitorous knight.
