Blythe couldn't sleep. She felt a little tired, but for whatever reason, she couldn't get comfortable enough, and her mind wouldn't stop running. It kept hounding her with the lines of poems- which she should probably write down, of course, that was difficult now that it was too dark to really see what you were doing. It kept reminding her of things she had to accomplish in the morning- the laundry, getting more food for the house, another few vases and bowls to paint for Briar and Mist, but Mist specifically said to only use shades of red on hers. It was maddening, the way Blythe's head seemed to never stop.
Getting up slowly, Blythe decided to take a walk, maybe that would help to clear her mind. Blythe rubbed her eyes, trying to clear them, her vision was a little blurry, but they soon adjusted to the night well enough.
Blythe walked outside into the night. The first thing that hit her was how cold it was. Blythe shivered, deciding she may need something warmer, she went back inside, and grabbed a cloak, wrapping it tightly around her before heading outside again. It was still chilly. But better now. Her breath turned to a white mist in the cold night air.
Not really knowing where she wanted to go, simply knowing she wanted to walk to help clear her mind, Blythe moved forward. Walking past other people's homes, but never another Konti.
Blythe stopped to look up at the stars for a moment. They were shining brightly, little beacons of light that reminded her of candles in a dark room. She didn't know if any constellations were present in the sky today, she didn't need to to be able to admire them. Taking them all in, standing still long enough for the cold to seep into her bones, she shivered again, before deciding to move on. At which time, she convinced herself, she saw a shadow. It was moving, and more than likely, not her own.
