Description "Alex Common" Alex thoughts "Myrian" "Fratava" "Others"
It was strange holding some semblance of a conversation based on two things. Fragile language, and simple expressions. Even her response was a little broken but he could get the gist of what she was saying fairly easily. So there was that he supposed. Alex started off with her in tow when she spoke about the “Long gross thing” that attacked her. Possibly a snake. And knowing the city’s predilection to Vantha it was probably a severely dangerous one.
He lead on with her saying show her the way. He plunged his foot gingerly between the trees glancing not only up and around but down too. He was being extremely cautious not just for himself but for her as well.
“Follow me closely.” He told her in an almost authoritative manner, not to scare but to imply the need, and warn. Though when she asked about her people asking if he’d seen any his shoulders dropped.
“Sadly no. I have not.” He spoke with a glum undertone, as he rounded a tree he continued on. “That doesn’t mean they aren’t safe though.”
He placed his foot between two large tree trunks and kept low glancing around the tree. In the distance he spotted something that to him at least was something he’d have to either go around or attack head on. A large black cat. Far larger than a regular house cat but enough for Alex to know he had to be cautious. He didn’t want to chance Infilia misunderstanding his words so he resorted to simple motions to try to get her to understand that way.
He lifted his hand up and down to signal she should keep low and then moved it forwards very slowly to try and help her realise she needed to keep slow, before lifting his finger to his lips indicating to be quiet as well. He was after all chancing the odds here. After all the beast may have already spotted him and began closing in. After all that was the kind of city this was. Cold uncaring and supremely dangerous.
