Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

It was strange holding some semblance of a conversation based on two things. Fragile language, and simple expressions. Even her response was a little broken but he could get the gist of what she was saying fairly easily. So there was that he supposed. Alex started off with her in tow when she spoke about the “Long gross thing” that attacked her. Possibly a snake. And knowing the city’s predilection to Vantha it was probably a severely dangerous one.

He lead on with her saying show her the way. He plunged his foot gingerly between the trees glancing not only up and around but down too. He was being extremely cautious not just for himself but for her as well.
“Follow me closely.” He told her in an almost authoritative manner, not to scare but to imply the need, and warn. Though when she asked about her people asking if he’d seen any his shoulders dropped.
“Sadly no. I have not.” He spoke with a glum undertone, as he rounded a tree he continued on. “That doesn’t mean they aren’t safe though.”

He placed his foot between two large tree trunks and kept low glancing around the tree. In the distance he spotted something that to him at least was something he’d have to either go around or attack head on. A large black cat. Far larger than a regular house cat but enough for Alex to know he had to be cautious. He didn’t want to chance Infilia misunderstanding his words so he resorted to simple motions to try to get her to understand that way.

He lifted his hand up and down to signal she should keep low and then moved it forwards very slowly to try and help her realise she needed to keep slow, before lifting his finger to his lips indicating to be quiet as well. He was after all chancing the odds here. After all the beast may have already spotted him and began closing in. After all that was the kind of city this was. Cold uncaring and supremely dangerous.

“Follow me closely.” Infilia understood the best she could. She heard, follow, and, closely. "Follow... closely," she repeated to herself as she carefully stepped in each shoe print made by Alex as he lead the way.

When Infilia asked Alex if she'd seen any other Vantha, Alex responds “Sadly no. I have not.” Her heart sank, and her chest felt heavy, but Alex continued and added “That doesn’t mean they aren’t safe though.” Infilia nodded, but she was sure all hope was lost for her and the other Vantha, there were probably more Vantha hunters around Mizahar than there are rescuers. She just hoped that she would stay alive long enough. Alex halted behind a large tree, Infilia almost stumbled behind Alex, she grabbed hold of the tree as well, and focused her breathing. She looked at Alex from the other end of the tree. She then followed where Alex looked and gasped lightly. It was a large black furred cat, one that Infilia had never seen before. Though, they weren't as big as the Kelvic Polar Bears that were Queen Morwens guards.

Infilia nodded when Alex gave her hand signals to keep it quiet. She continued to follow the mysterious man through the jungle, hoping that the black cat wouldn't see her. She was doing her best, to keep behind Alex, but she slipped over a small puddle of mud and landed on her rear. The Snowsong gasped as she looked at the black cat, it seemed to be very occupied with looking for something else. She slowly stood up and quickly returned back, behind Alex. She must find a place to get cleaned soon. She'll feel much better.

The slow motions and the hand signals seemed to have worked better than he could have anticipated. Leaving the communication to something nonverbal allowed him to get his point across much faster. And as the pair traversed quietly and slowly in front of the big cat it didn’t turn once. Only making a small showing of its ears shifting slightly when Alex heard a small squish behind him in the mud. He had a fair inkling that it was infilia causing it however he didn’t nor couldn’t have predicted how she’d caused the noise.

Alex held up his right hand slowly a signal for stop if she was fully paying attention as he glanced around slowly and then he caught sight of it. Freedom from the jungle. He turned his head slightly to glance over his shoulder and made a thumbs-up signal and pointed ahead leading the way free from the thick trees and soft loose mud.

A few chimes of walking and the pair had made it back into the strange twisting streets of the city of Alvadas Proper.
“Freedom.” Alex called out a little louder than normal not even a quarter of his maximum volume. He then turned to look towards Infilia who he could now see was coated with mud. Explaining both the sound and that he was right in his assumption. Still though he’d held his word. “I said I’d help.” He spoke with a tone of honesty as he looked towards her. “And if you need help in the future, look for me.”

Glancing off down the streets left and right he wondered something. “Infilia, do you have a place to stay?” His words even toned but curious. Was she a resident of the city? No that couldn’t be the case her common would be much stronger than it was. Was she visiting the city? An odd time for a vantha to be traversing the world, however no-body could really have foreseen this wholesale murder.

“Freedom.” The man said, Infilia looked at him, confused, her eyes were now a sullen purple hue, and she was merely upset. The mud was sticking to her, and she wished no better than to wash it off.

"Fr- ree- dom?" She asked in Common as They've managed to reach the edge of the jungle. "Place, what this is?" Infilia asked Alex, she was merely referring to the jungle, but she couldn't find the correct words for it.

“I said I’d help.” The man repeated.
"Helped." Infilia nodded, she at least knew the meaning to that word of course. Though, she felt too reliant on Alex, he didn't know yet, whether or not he could trust her. She could be fairly well be stumbling into a trap.

“And if you need help in the future, look for me.”
"For...." she tried putting her lips together to formulate the word you. "...you." She replied, nodding.

“Infilia, do you have a place to stay?” She shook her head, she was afraid of getting a place to stay, when she arrived in Alvadas, she began to hear the rumors of Vantha being hunted, she kept under the shadows for as long as she can. It's hard work.

"Place, no, no place." She said shaking her wet, sticky muddy, hair to the side. "Place, you?" She asked, curious, eyes still shaded with a purple hue.

As she swung her head lightly he pondered. She didn’t have a place to stay in this mess of a city. And in this mess of a hunt. Alex took a deep breath and glanced around slowly.
“Well that’s…I don’t know.” He spoke with a small shake of his head. He folded his arms thinking things through carefully.
“If you have no place to stay.” He started taking a small walk with a offer from his hands to her to walk alongside him. “Then you’re welcome to stay with me.”

His words as much as they may have seemed like a trap, were genuine. Even harbouring a Vantha could be met with a massive penalty. One that he was willing to brave. Someone this scared shouldn’t be forced to stay out in the cold and the nastiness.
“I understand if you don’t want too.” He stepped at a slow pace allowing her to keep up with him without much effort despite the height difference. “At the very least we can get cleaned up.” Alex scratched at his chin. With that much humidity it was a pain in the back.

He led her as best he could through the winding streets and never ending pathways it seemed. However it seemed as if the city was taking a slight amount of pity as the walk wasn’t as awful as it usually was. And within the space of fifteen chimes they’d reached the cubacious inn. Complete with its huge spinning cubes. “This is the place I’m staying. And if you don’t want to stay with me. I’m pretty sure you can get your own room.” He smiled lightly that veneer easily worn like a familiar pair of gloves. And his words he spoke slow enough that she could catch a hold of what he meant at least a little.

“Well that’s…I don’t know.” The man spoke, Infilia watched him shake his head. She was confused if he was unsure if she repeated the word 'freedom' correctly, or it was her. Was it her? Or was it him? Infilia couldn't be so sure, but she knew one thing. That she could begin to trust Alex. After, he could have tried to kill her. Though, probably Infilia wouldn't have a chance at succeeding. Fortunately, he didn't kill her, and Infiilia was pleased with the outcome, and he's helped her get her out of this confusing jungle.

“If you have no place to stay.” The man started to talk, Infilia followed beside Alex carefully. Watching the others carefully as she began to pass her. They began to look at her with quick glances, Infilia hoped that it was because she was all covered in muck and sweat. She thought to herself; "how about you travel into that jungle," she thought in Vani. Of course, probably everyone out of their right mind would try to avoid it, but Infilia was suddenly trapped inside it, she thought that she was wandering through the city. “Then you’re welcome to stay with me.” The words repeated in her mind once more. She thought to herself; "stay... with... him?" She interpreted slowly... "Stay?" She repeated to Alex.

“I understand if you don’t want too.” Infilia noticed that Alex was purposely keeping a small pace with her. Though, she wondered if he knew that she was getting tired. "No-no... do." She said with a tired smile. "T--- ti... tired?" She replied awkwardly. "New... clothes." She added. “At the very least we can get cleaned up.”
"Yes." She replied. Smiling. The two met up at a building, it had spinning cubes. The Vantha was unsure if she would be allowed to stay here. Though, she'd rather take the chance than to continue avoiding. Obviously, she needed it.
“This is the place I’m staying. And if you don’t want to stay with me. I’m pretty sure you can get your own room.”
"Stay... with... you. Safe." She said, as the two walked in.

Lost In The Trees.

OOCAlex purchased the rental of a room in the cubacious inn for the duration of 90 days amounting to 18GM for a Moderate room.
Also in lieu of staying a while he purchased some clothes for himself to at least have a change of wardrobe.
3 shirts medium size dyed black, white and green accordingly, linen material. Amounting to 4SM 5CM
3 pairs of pants med all dyed black, linen. Amounting to 3GM 6SM
3 pairs of undergarments, male variety linen undyed 3SM
And a spare belt 2SM
Grand total of spending 22GM 5SM 5CM, marked off in the ledger.

The arrival at the Cubacious in took a little bit of time however on the way He’d managed to successfully if partially convey to her what he meant. Even if she was slowly working through the words in her mind to try and get a hold on what exactly he meant by each one. As they walked through the front doors of the inn She said she’d want to stay with him as she had no place. And it was safe with him. He gave her a small smile. And nodded lightly. His attention then turned towards the owner of the establishment. Giving them a small smile, he gave her a hand signal that meant hold on.

He stepped over to the counter to speak to the owner Georgia. A soft smile on his features that practiced out so well. And his words picked up their pace dramatically so as to not seem like he was just trying to speak to someone who didn’t speak common well.
“Excuse me Miss Delner.” Alex spoke with a smoothness to his tone that spoke of someone asking gingerly for information. “My self and my friend found ourselves caught out in the middle of the jungle that recently appeared. Seeing as we don’t want to leave an odour in your lovely inn, could you possibly give me directions. Sorry wrong word. The name of place where we might be able to get cleaned up?” Miss Delner, looked over both Alex and Infilia.
“Certainly, I never pass up a chance to help a paying customer, least of all one so polite.” She took a glance around Alex and spoke again. “Also better choice of words this time. Directions really don’t work here. You’re looking for a place called the “Stark naked and starstruck." Look for an ethaefel called Vela. She’s both the proprietor and the owner of the establishment and should still be operating it at least until sundown.” Alex gave a small nod and a smile before walking back to Infilia and ushering her up the stairs. And to his room.

As he slipped the key into the lock and stepped in to the pastel green room the soft mint colouring washing over everything he’d forgotten the fact he’d left the room littered with weapons.
“Bugger. Sorry about the mess.” He spoke leading her in and pushing them beneath the bed. “There’s only one bed. You can have it, to sleep.” He tossed his coat onto a hanger on the back of the door. Leaving a spare one for hers. Pulling his leather armour from his torso it was easily seen just how humid it had been in that jungle at least for him. He started picking up a small array of clothing for him to take with him. Stuffing them into the backpack. He then paused a moment. “Infilia. There’s a bathhouse nearby. To clean off at. Do you have anything else to wear?” Emphasizing his point he pulled at his shirt as he said wear. Trying to get the point across clearer. “If not you can borrow some of my stuff, might be a little big though…”

After a few more chimes of waiting, Alex and the lady behind the desk were exchanging some words. Infilia looked around, she felt bad that she was trailing in mud, she wanted to wait outside, but she also didn't want to make Alex think that she was leaving him. After all, she wouldn't be able to make it through Alvadas with Vantha hunters running around and searching. She shivered at the thought, she hoped that she could find her parents here, she just hoped. Infilia wondered, that asking Alex would be a bit too much for the man to haggle. After all, he said he'll protect her, not to assist her with her personal problems. Plus, she wouldn't know if she would be able to ever see her mother and father, they left her when she was so young.

They wouldn't reside here after that many years, would they?

The man and woman both stopped talking, and Alex ushered the Vantha upstairs to his room. He pulled out his key and found contact with the keyhole, Alex opened it and displayed the layout for her. Infilia smiled weakly.

“Bugger. Sorry about the mess.”
"B---bu-bugger?" She repeated curiously.... did that mean bad, or oops? Or what did he mean by that. The, she registered the second portion. Sorry... mess.. He apologized. Infilia shrugged weakly. "It... okay." She smiled. Well, she wasn't going to make it any cleaner with her abode covered in mud.

“There’s only one bed. You can have it, to sleep.”
"One... bed. Sleep." She nodded and looked at the bed. She took off her flute case and placed it on the table; she unwrinkled her trench coat, it was still fairly clean, just small spots of mud, she hanged it on the other hook besides Alex's.

“Infilia. There’s a bathhouse nearby. To clean off at. Do you have anything else to wear?”

"Clean. Dress... too- too nice." She replied, she shook her head hoping to get the message across that she doesn't want to wear it. She doesn't know what kind of men she'll encounter here in Alvadas. "No... wear." She added.

“If not you can borrow some of my stuff, might be a little big though…”
"Thank. You." She said with a smile.
"Go to clean?" Alex showed her his clothes, "Wh-white." She pointed. "Please?" She added with a polite tone intertwined. "Thank you."
