Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

She had expected the sarcastic reply to what she had said, knowing it was a bad idea. However, she had no ideas for anywhere else to. She gave a slightly apologetic look at his annoyance. "That was a stupid idea, wasn't it."

Arisia hadn't truly travelled around the place, it kind of scared her, the immense amount of illusions. So she had not travelled around the whole of the city yet.

It was a shame that this city didn't have an area to train like Syrilas had, at least she didn't think there was one.

Her thoughts ended up drifting to why she wanted a weapon. She told herself that she wanted it to protect herself, because the world was dangerous. That was only half true, really. She wanted to protect the Vantha, she felt like she was dissapointing her mother if she didn't.

She had considered going home to find and protect her mother for winter, but she knew that wasn't going to happens. Her mother was likely already dead. Arisia wasn't that naive, if she had gone back to Syrilas after coming here, there would have been no point of travelling at all.

Contemplating to herself for a moment, and her mind coming back to what she was meant to be thinking of. Where to practice. "Uh, I actually have no idea where to." She laughed slightly, wishing she knew the city better.

As much as he didn’t want to admit it, it was in fact a rather silly idea. The thought of him teaching her in her room. That was a little much. “Well we’ll see if we can find a place to teach you safely?” He smirked and started to walk heading off in the direction of generally anywhere his hands resting atop the hilts of his swords and a small thought playing over in his mind. Where was he going to teach people?

His walk was cut short as the slow winding whirring pace of the city lead into an open space a few meters across but ringed with trees on all sides.
Ok…How in the heck have I entered a jungle in the middle of a city…? But this would be a good place to teach her?
Alex stepped a little further into the clearing to see if it was overall as big as it looked and began to walk the pace of the perimeter. And in fact it was just as wide and open as it looked however the one thing that was making him wonder was the ground. The heavy mud that was from his best guess pretty damp and easily moved when loose. That’d be fine for him to take a stance against her on, but how would she cope with it? Well that’s what he was here to find out wasn’t he?

Alex smirked and spun on his heel now staring towards Arisia.
“Alright this place seems large enough for me to give a shot at training ya. Draw your sword and let’s see how well you swing the thing.” Alex took a half step back and held his hands still on the handles of his swords not drawing them but almost looking relaxed and practiced. Ready for whatever she might toss in his direction.

They walked for a short amount of time, she had expected it to take a longer time for them to find somewhere empty to train. It appeared the city had other plans though.

The clearing appeared to look like a jungle, an odd thing to find in the middle of a city, however this was the city of illusions. She felt surprised for a moment, but shrugged it off. They had somewhere to do this now.

She knew how to stand when fighting, and she knew how to defend herself. Hopefully that'll turn into me being alright at this.. It was extremely likely that she wouldn't be good at this, at least not yet. Despite all this, Arisia was optimistic as usual, and enthusiastic about learning to use her weapon.

Alex abruptly turned, staring towards her with a smirk, telling her to have a go. She really hoped neither of them got hurt, more likely she would hurt herself though.

Drawing her sword, and taking a stance that she knew would support her, one foot a bit behind her, and one forward. She held the weapon the way Alex had told her to earlier, if a little bit incorrectly.

She swung at him, her aim wasn't amazing, and would likely easily be avoided, but her stance remained fine as she stepped forwards. The ground was noticeably unstable as she moved, and she adjusted her steps, an attempt to make them lighter.

The mirroring of what he’d shown her earlier was in blunt shaky and ungrounded. She looked almost wobbly as she stood there like a stiff breeze could have knocked her over. His hands rested atop his swords and with a simple motion he drew neither of them, but instead waited for her approach. As she crossed the shifting mud and soil he slipped to the side letting her blade swing and cut nothing but air.

He shifted his footing planting his feet solidly for both grip and stability unlike how she tried simply to keep her balance. “In situations like this where the ground is loose.” Alex spoke as he slipped around to her side and with a sharp motion of his left hand made a strike for her side, aiming to not only do a little damage but push her off balance. “Make sure to keep your feet grounded so as to minimize the amount of instability you have.” His words came out with a hardened edge to them.

However being in this close was something he was used too, and he was starting to formulate the next series of moves thinking that she’d probably avoid the strike to the side from how light she was on her feet but if she tried to jump away she’d more than likely slip on the loose mud. If she took the blow she’d slip and fall anyway. But that wasn’t what worried him it would be motioning out of the way of the retaliatory slash he was almost certain would come his way.

Pre-emptively he shifted his weight onto his back foot to ready to swing his body out of the way of the strike. It was a gamble that might have left him more open than he’d like but if he had to block his left hand was still on his sword ready to be drawn in a flash of steel.

Arisia stumbled, dodging the hit yet not unaffected by it, taking a second to regain her balance on the unstable ground. Her stance had become less correct now that she had straightened herself up, and she was more focused on making sure she didn't fall to the ground again and following the advice she was given.

She slashed again, aiming to knock him off of his feet like he had tried before. An unsuccessful maneuver, her arms movement clumsy and unpracticed, and her step forward too heavy.

Slipping as she used her weapon, she fell forwards on to the unstable ground below her. It was expected, but still slightly disappointing as she collided with the ground. It was lucky that she was just on mud, instead of rocks. If she had been her injuries would likely be much worse.

Quickly, she got herself up into a standing position, ready to try again. She knew she couldn't get better if she didn't even try, and one fall wasn't enough to put her off of learning how to use the weapon.

A want to protect people was driving her, whether the Vantha, herself, or her future bondmate. It was something she felt that she needed to do, whether she would be able to do it well or not, that was something she would have to figure out in a while.

She wished she had claws as a human though, it'd make things incredibly easier than this.

As she struck out wide and wild her step lead in too much and she slipped. In a hurry to get away from the tip of the blade Alex slid his foot back and barely got away from the point as it scraped across his leather armour leaving a nice scrape across the front. Had he been any closer that would have been a bad thing. Though seeing her clamour back up from falling quite literally flat on her face did give him a small reason to smile.

“Well you’ve certainly the fire to do this. Let’s see how well you handle an armed opponent.” Alex spoke slowly making sure to let the words seep in as he drew both of his bastard swords. The blades softly hissing against the wood and leather as the slipped free of their bindings. Now with his weapons in hand he lifted one between himself and Arisia to show the range differential. If she wanted to hit him, or even have a chance at doing so she’d have to close that gap.

Not an easy feat given the high difference too.
“When dealing with a greater range, use speed and low movements to get closer.” He rolled his blades in his hands before giving her an example. Planting his foot in the loose mud heel first to get a better grip and stronger foot hold than trying to stay light he stepped into her range and swung his left blade towards her head edge first letting her know he was taking this as a serious training time. The other would move lower towards he middle back and aim to strike her with the flat.

To someone practised with a blade it’d be obvious which the feint was and which was the real strike. However in this instant she had to make a snap decision as to which to block and which to ignore. However to most people the edge was the most likely one to do harm and impulse would pull them there. But was she most people?

Well,I wouldn't of got this far without fire. She smiled at this, and listened to what he said. He was going to use a weapon on her now, an armed opponent wasn't something she had faced before. So she would see how this went.

He took out two swords, she recognised them as she saw some similar in the store, but she didn't remember what it was. After being showed the amount of space between them, she realised that she would have to close the gap between them to do anything. Luckily he seemed to have the same thoughts and explained it.

She had never been the most perceptive or bright individual, her intelligence ending at that of a child's often. She wasn't good at realising what was happening at times, and her oblivious personality had often led her into bad situations. Her lack of education was likely to blame for her stupidity, but she couldn't change that now.

It was a good thing this was only training, or else she would have ended up a lot more injured. She went to block the feint, taking the hit, causing her to stumble to the side and knocking the breath out of her.

She clutched her side for a moment, it was slightly painful, but nothing major, then straightened herself up with a grin. "The other was a fake then?"
