Appearance Human Standing at only 5'2" and weighing 92 lbs, the petite Kelvic is a lithe and pale creature. With a tangled mane of blue black hair, and a body marked with warpaint, she makes for quite an odd sight. Her cheekbones are too sharp, her chin too pointed, and her nose slightly too big for her to be called beautiful, but she's comely enough. Nidae's eyes are a startling icy blue in both her forms. They are slitted like a cat's, leaving no guess to the fact that she's not human. In both forms, Nidassasyae's eyes have a tapetum at the back. This reflects light back to the retina, leaving her squinting when the sun shines. While her gaze might be sharp at night, it is abysmal during the day. Nidae's canines are longer than a human's would be, tapering to a sharp point. A thin scar runs down her back, from underneath her right shoulder blade down to her left hipbone. It's a mark that she got from an encounter with a bear, and a constant reminder of her weaknesses. It's a rash decision, to try and tangle with a bear, one that you'll not pay for without at least a scar like hers. Leopard Nidassasyae's true form is a massive Talderan snow leopard. She stands at 7 feet 8 inches, and is is twice that when measuring her length. As a Giant Leopard, she weighs 1,758 pounds. Her leopard form is all coiled muscle, ready at any moment to pounce. Her fur is white when clean, but is normally matted and appears smoky grey. Her eyes are the bright blue of winter sunlight, and her body is covered in rosettes. Personality Nidassasyae is a creature of passion, entirely ruled by her impulsive behavior. What she wants, she will try to get, and often using less than intelligent methods to get it. Laws, morals, and rules mean nothing to her. Nida does not take well to being told what to do, being a solitary creature. Though her passion may make her seem human-like in some aspects, there is no mistake that there are very little human characteristics to her personality. She lusts after the taste of blood and takes great pleasure in the thrill of the hunt. But like any animal, she is not without her nurturing instincts. Though slow to trust, any who gain her friendship will keep it for life. Nida is a loyal animal, through and through. She would go to great lengths for her friends, and do anything for her most trusted kith. But this determination to protect them is sometimes misplaced, as she sees nothing wrong with ripping out the throat of someone who insults one of her friends. Likes: Seliarus, Nehsmay, balls of yarn, blood, raw meat, freshly killed prey, friendly people. Dislikes: Slavers, warhorses, burned meat, mushrooms, small spaces, stone walls, Leilo. History Pre-RP Nidassasyae and her siblings lived peacefully with their mother for the first 8 months of their lives. They roamed the frozen north, hunting for food, and telling stories under the stars. Every night, her mother would take out her story knife, a wickedly sharp blade of whale bone. On it, small carven figures danced, and miniature animals shone in the moonlight. With one finger delicately tracing over the old carvings, her mother would regale the cubs of stories of far off lands, foreign gods, and magic. Sadly, the family's peaceful life did not last. One night, Nidae came back from hunting, a brace of coneys slung over her shoulder. As she, her mother, and her siblings ate, four men on horseback approached their fire. Sundassasya, her mother, offered them some of the meager meal, and to share the heat of the fire. In return, the men shackled the family, probably intending to sell the Kelvics as slaves. They walked alongside the horses, struggling to keep up. This went on for many days, until their mother managed pick the locks of their chains. Sundassasya pressed the bone knife into Nidassasyae's hands, urging the children to run. Nidassasyae told her siblings to meet up at the Icicle rock, which the children had named because it looked exactly like an upside down icicle. They fled into the night, the slavers realizing that their prisoners had escaped a few minutes later. Nidae arrived at their rendezvous point, but there was no sign of her siblings. She dug in the dirt for a few moments, unearthing a weathered backpack. Her mother had placed it there in case of emergencies, and in the frozen Northlands, it paid to be ready. As she shouldered the pack, ready to go and find her siblings, she heard screams coming from her right. When she turned, Nidassasyae saw the horsemen swooping down on two small forms. They too, saw her, and one shot an arrow in her direction. Her brother cried out for her to run, morphed into his animal form, and clawed at the slavers. The arrow grazed her shoulder, and blood quickly seeped through the wool of her tunic. Terrified, Nidassayae fled, clutching at her shoulder, and weeping at her weakness. The thought: I should turn back, repeated over and over in her mind. But the terror did not decrease, and her legs kept propelling her forwards. She did not know for how long she ran, when she stopped to rest, or to hunt. Almost two weeks later, she stumbled across the road that led to Avanthal. She was barely 40 feet away from the entrance to the city. Overcome with fatigue, her hair matted, and her clothes torn and bloody, she collapsed onto the road. Post-RP Nidassasyae lay on the road in her leopard form, having summoned just enough strength to shift before she lost consciousness completely. A kind Vantha by the name of Nehsmay Frostfawn found her and helped her regain her health. Nehsmay invited Nidae to join her on a journey, to which Nidae excitedly agreed. After staying in Avanthal for a few weeks, to prepare and regain her strength, the two girls set off on their adventure. When in Avanthal, Nidae met a courageous bird Kelvic by the name of Diamond Rat, who claimed to be a Badger Kelvic. Unused to deception, Nidae believed the girl, and a wary friendship began to blossom between them. On the way to Syliras, they met a Dhani man by the name of Seliarus. At first Nidae was distrustful of him, thinking that he was about to attack Nehsmay. She had snarled and placed herself between her friend and the Dhani, who was only trying to help.It turned out that he had been living in the wilderness by a long time, away from those who had prejudices against the Dhani, and hid his more kind emotions under a cold facade. Or at least, that's what Nidassasyae thinks. She apologized later, and the group camped there for the night. The girls convinced Seliarus to travel with them, that they did not care about what race he was. Nidae had no idea what a Dhani was anyways, it didn't matter to her. The group made their way towards Syliras, not knowing what would happen once they got there. Sure enough, the events that unfolded were entirely unpredictable. Though the friends got lost in the city, found jobs, and met up with some pretty strange people, none of it seemed to matter to Nidae anymore. Because on Fall 51, she Bonded with Seliarus. At first, she had mistaken the care she had felt for him as friendship, but the stressful events in Syliras only served to strengthen the growing Bond. Nidae asked him, poured out her heart, expecting to be rejected, if he felt the Bond too. The Dhani's speech confused her at first, and she thought he was declining. Nevertheless, she still loved him, and lingered long enough for him to finish talking and say "Yes." Now the companions have set out for Zeltiva, following the lead of Nehsmay Frostfawn, a Vantha storyteller. The Bondmates follow the Vantha because of friendship, but neither knows what drives the northern woman to travel Mizahar with such a frantic pace.

But if one can get to know him better, they would realize that those things are only a small fraction of who he is. To Nida, he is gentle and understanding, one of the few people she finds worth fighting for. She doesn't know if Kelvics are capable of love, but if they are, he is foremost in her heart. Who Is Nida? "Which is worse? the wolf who cries before eating the lamb or the wolf who does not?" General Information : 1. What is your Name? Nidassasyae Iskedarst 2. Do you go by a nickname or pet name? Yes, people rarely bother with trying to say my full name. I'm usually called Nidae, but I've been called Nidas as well. Nidae, Nida, Nidas, it doesn't really matter much to me. After all, it's only a name. 3. How old are you? I am one winter old, about 18 years in human terms 4. What is your height? 5'2" 5. What is your weight? Why do you want to know? Aesthetics : 1. Describe yourself as you see yourself. As a leopard, I see myself as a powerful and strong being, attributes that I need to protect those close to me. In my human form I'm frail, pale, and weak. I hate this, in that form, there's no way I could protect those I love. 2. Describe yourself as others typically see you. Humans usually see me as something odd, something that they can't understand. The fact that I'm a Kelvic is quite obvious, but it still makes them uncomfortable. Humans have the capacity to be both hunter and prey, which means that they usually can identify a predator. 3. What is your favorite body feature? My teeth are my favorite feature. They are the only natural weapon that I have in both forms, since my weak human form does not have claws. They allow me to tear into prey, and are my best chance at at least distracting someone from my Bondmate while in human form. 4. How physically fit are you? As a leopard, I am very physically fit. One must be if they're to survive, that's the way of nature. At least in that form, I am an able warrior. In my human form, I'm more frail and much tinier. I'm probably more fit than most humans, but I still hate how weak I am in comparison to my other form. 5. How do you typically dress and what is your style? I usually dress in whatever the weather calls for. I'd much prefer to wear no clothes, because why would any animal want to drape themselves in restricting cloth. But, I understand that humans find this odd, and could possibly attract unwanted attention to my companions and I. So I just usually wear a tunic and breeches. I don't have a style, I just wear simple clothes that are easy to slip off. Family : 1. Who are your parents and what are they like? My mother's name was- is Sundassasya, she was proud and haughty, but loved my siblings and I very much. I never knew my father. 2. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Yes, one brother, one sister. 3. What is your extended family like? My family is my Bondmate now. He is my life, and I'd do anything to protect him. 4. Do you consider close friends as important or more/less important than family? I consider Seliarus (Bondmate) and Nehsmay (Best Friend) as the most important people in my life. Nehsmay is almost like a sister to me, more than my own sister ever was. You cannot change whose blood you share, but you can change those who you surround yourself with. My loyalty is to my companions, they are the most important things to me. Distinctions between family and friends are not important, it all depends on the individual. 5. Do you treat animals like family? Please don't tell me you just asked that... Location : 1. Where were you born? In a den in the wilderness of Taldera, I'm not sure exactly where. 2. Taldera, though I doubt I'll be going there again. Seliarus cannot stand the cold. I do long to see snow again though. 4. Do you have a favorite place to vacation or spend leisure time? What's a vacation? 5. Where do you fear to be? Alone, or in a cage. I am severely claustrophobic, so even the thought of a small space makes me shiver. I am a creature of freedom, I cannot stand the idea of a cage or imprisonment, I would likely die first. Traits : 1. Do you have any physical weaknesses (disease, scars, and missing limbs?) I have a scar from an encounter with a bear 2. Are you right handed or left handed? I use both hands, but in my human form I seem to favor my right. I've had a bit of practice with communicating with humans since I started traveling, but I've noticed that my voice still sounds different. I have no need for tattoos. I use war paint. However, I do have a tattoo-like marking on the left side of my neck. I've heard it's called a Chevas Mark, but I'm still not entirely sure what it is. Again, I would do anything to please Siku, as long as she does not demand that I hurt Seliarus. I'd die before I'l even give that a second thought. Life & Death : 1. What do you absolutely live for?
