While "Stu" might not be someone's idea of a typical Priest, he sure did muster the denizens of Syka to help build him a bar and restaurant to be reckoned with. Stuvantis Alkamar is an easy going guy who really does incorporate all the best aspects of summer. He's a social butterfly that tends to start things such as group outings, head party plans, and causes impromptu beach parties with singing and dancing. Stu's approachable and will teach what he knows to almost anyone as long as they show him something in return. Fun with a capital F, Stu is literally the life of the party. He merges his faith with his outward desire to have a good time and for some reason this combination of personality always seems to put people at ease, opens them up, and makes them really relax. In fact, its not surprising for The Tidepool Bar to have a rare divine guest drop by for one of his magical potion drinks and some rest and relaxation.

The structure of the Tidepool is another rancho cluster, though so elaborate it really fails to fit the appropriate definition of one. Made of three buildings off a main pier, The Tidepool Bar consists of Stu's modest home in one section to the south, a kitchen in the center, and the bar part in the far north of the triad of buildings. Stu needs so much room because his 'kitchen' is made up of mostly a distillery for some of the stronger hard fruit brews he serves.

The bar is large, having a splintering of docks off of it for people to wander out onto. There is a cluster of benches and picnic tables off the main bar and a place for musicians to play if they so desire. The bar itself seats about ten people. The whole structure is open to the elements with only the seating area and actual bar covered by the roof. Stu has also set up hammocks from pilings that drape into the water for people to relax and beat the summer heat. These water hammocks radiate off the ends of the piers so people can cluster in them and still have a decent conversation or be reached by a barmaid to get a drink refreshed.

The living quarters are roped off and marked private from the kitchen. His rancho looks a lot like the others Randal has built along Syka's shore, though slightly bigger. Visitors can access the bar via the pier through a walkway that passes around the kitchen to the bar or tie up smaller boats to the tie downs that surround the ranchos. The water around The Tidepool Bar is no deeper than 4 or 5 feet at any given time so its a perfect place for people to snorkel or even fish off the docks. Stu will of course fry up anything anyone catches for a small fee.

Snack Bar Platters

  • A large platter of sliced fresh fruit with bread, cheese, and either fried chicken bites or shrimp. It comes with cocktail sauce and butter to spread on the bread. This is a light fare and usually feeds only one person.

Full Meals

  • Here it is the luck of the draw. Stu cooks up whatever he has available or that he can catch. Sometimes hes got a pig roasting on his spit or other times he just has chicken or fish. Meals are hearty, tropical friendly meaning they usually have some sort of flat bread and salad or salsa to make into tacos, and are all you can eat. They include fruit, bread, and cheese. He will gladly bring you more if a first serving doesn't satisfy.
