Race: Eypharian Gender: Female Age: 25 Birthday: 55th day of Spring, 494 A.V. Birthplace: Ahnatep
Appearance
Hair: She has dark brown hair that is long and curly. Usually it is loose or tied up simply. Eyes: Brown Complexion: Her skin is a rich brown and is strikingly darker than most Eypharians. Height: 5’3’’ Weight: 165lb Build: She has a lush curvy figure with prominent hips and large strong thighs. Her stomach is relatively flat, however, she has a lot of upper body mass as a result of her six arms.
Sayana has a range of outfits depending on the circumstance. Lately she favors a long red and black dress made of satin. Sometimes she is seen in beige pants and a simple red top when the need arises to be more agile and mobile (such as when traveling/riding). Frequently she uses a large black robe or cloak to conceal her low and mid arms, particularly when she doesn't want her race to attract attention. Her clothes underneath are sometimes more plain looking and occasionally she wears a black vest filled with an assortment of pockets boasting of various useful items. Regardless of what she is wearing, she always carries a belt of six daggers. Two regular, and four throwing daggers, which she replaces as needed. Though often her cloak covers the blatant display of weaponry.
Sayana’s darker skin sets her apart from most Eypharians, but otherwise she has the typical six-arms that make Eypharians unique. Her mid arms are set slightly forward and her high and lows are slightly back. This creates a somewhat staggered shoulder and arm pattern with an emphasis on her mids. Her neckline is enhanced further by seeing the cascading shoulders of her high and mid. Her movements are graceful and also purposeful. More often than not her arms move in pairs or by a particular side of the body.
In Colder Weather: She wears a long greyish wool coat that has a small fur trim around the edges, the cuffs, and the hood. She has matching gloves (six of them), also made of a grey wool material and with fur trim. The coat only has one set of sleeves for her arms and she tucks her others within the warmth of the coat. On her feet are tall leather boots. When she takes off her coat, she has a set of dark red sleeves fashioned to cover each of her six arms and connected by a piece of material that acts like a shawl and covers her shoulders.
Character Concept
Sayana is a very proud and passionate Eypharian. She likes people but often thinks herself above them. Sometimes she’ll toy with people for her own amusement to see their reactions but often it’s more about learning their boundaries and seeing if she can get past them. As a result, it’s not surprising that she’s taken up a love for sensual dance. Not only does she enjoy using it to tease and seduce others, but she legitimately enjoys the power of the music and the motion. She is very much in tune with her body and dances with small subtle movements as well as large flowing ones displaying remarkable fluidity.
Although dancing feeds her soul (and often her stomach), she had to learn quite young how to protect herself. Her choice weapons are a pair of daggers that she received when she was young and they are small enough to tuck neatly into a belt or skirt, yet still remain visible to keep unwanted hands away during a performance. When she fights, she has little regard to honor and even prefers to use deception and trickery when she can. Backstabbing is not beneath her, but as a result she has difficulty trusting people completely. This means she is rarely, if ever, without some kind of knife or dagger on her person.
Sayana can be highly determined and will push her body to the limit. However, she is not the most logical and often acts through emotions alone. She often thinks of herself as having the spirit of a warrior but many would call her reckless. She also did not have the patience or desire to learn to read and write as a child. Instead she spent much of her time learning to dance and seduce from the younger slave concubines at the palace (much to her parents' displeasure). Hence her literary skills are severely lacking compared to most Eypharians. At best she can write her name, form simple words with crude letters and phonetic spellings, and pick out various common words that are written.
Injuries and Scars
Spring 515 AV :
Spring 42: Moderate Cuts: These cuts will heal up within 2 weeks, and will leave visible scars across her chest if not properly treated. --- Treated (Soothing Waters) Large Thigh Cut: A large gash in Sayana's thigh. If it is not cleaned frequently, it may become infected. It is large enough that there is a chance it may not heal over properly and continue to bleed at random times, so stitches should be sought. It will fully heal within 8 weeks, but is guaranteed to leave a scar. --- Treated (Soothing Waters)
Spring 52: Bruises and cuts that will require 2 weeks to full heal without a visit to Soothing Waters and may leave very faint scars. --- Self-treated and hidden with cosmetics
Summer 515 :
Summer 50: Scratches and bruising on leg from bear attack. Will take 20 days to heal, less with medical attention. --- Self-treated
Fall 515 :
Fall 15: -Claw marks on back, deep enough to leave thin scars with treatment or sizable scars without; heal within 15 days with treatment or 40 days without --- Self-treated and with help from Nephti -Thin cuts along mid and low arms, scarring if untreated; heal within 8 days with treatment or 15 days without --- Self-treated
Winter 515 :
Winter 21: Shallow to medium cuts around her wrists and ankles (high hands have the worst of it); heal completely in two weeks if not treated with thin scars ; 9 days and no scars if treated Winter 21: Thin, deep wound on her high right shoulder ; heals completely in 11 days, small scar if not treated; 9 days if treated and no scar Winter 21: Three shallow scratches on the left side of her face, upper cheek; heal in 6 days if untreated; 4 days if treated Winter 21: An "x" with a line through the middle, sewn into the flesh of her chest with a crimson thread; unremoveable unless the skin is removed down to the muscle, open wounds heal after 5 days without treatment, 3 days with treatment - medium scarring in either case. Winter 82: Sayana will feel a throbbing pain in her chest for ten days. She will have bruises and various scrapes and scratches from combat that should fade in roughly ten days or longer. Winter 82: As a result of overgiving, she may experience dreams of killing Malice and enjoying it.
Spring 516 :
Spring 8, 516: The lacerations will take between 10 to 15 days to heal, and will definitely scar. (In reference to removing the red stitching on her chest) Spring 58, 516 AV: Deep arrow wound to left arm. Bandage applied promptly, but still needs to be properly treated and sewn up within 3-5 days to prevent infection
Lasting scars: Faint scar on her left cheek. Faint scar on the upper part of her high left arm. Scar on her right thigh. Scars on her back (zith claw marks). Scars on her chest in the shape of an "x" with an extra vertical line down the center. Lacun mark on her sternum that looks like a dying flame.
Zith Illusion From Winter 21 to Winter 82, 515 AV, Sayana will appear as a zith to everyone but herself (see possessions for further details). When she tries to speak, it will sound like Zithanese (and will be beyond the frequencies of sound audible by races other than zith), and when she hears Zithanese it will sound like Common. Additionally, she has a crimson "x" with a line through the middle embroidered into her flesh upon her chest.
Curses Summer 30-33rd 516 AV - Sayana will start to doubt everything from the 30th until the 33rd. Reality becomes a mystery, even her own place in the world might come into question. After the 33rd, the curse will gradually fade back into normality, culminating on the 35th, unless Clyde chooses to curse Sayana again, or she comes into contact with another Chaon.

Sayana was born to the middle class. Her mother is a seamstress and her father is a trader in luxury items. Both of them have high aspirations to advance their children in society. Sayana has a sister named Karu who is five years younger. When Sayana was a child, her parents tried enroll her to train in the art of Semhu, but they were lacking in both status and coin. This was her initial spark towards dance and she would often watch the young acrobats with envy.
At the age of nine she witnessed the miracle of a raindancer, and a Benshira no less. This completely changed the way she viewed other races and also other dances. This Benshiran raindancer had more fluid and earthy movements which contrasted drastically to the Semhu. By the age of twelve she had fully developed her womanly features and began seeking out Benshiran concubines and other slaves of the gardens. She mimicked their more sensual forms of dance and developed a better appreciation for the slave races. She found these dances and movements much easier to replicate compared to the acrobatic Semhu and far more rewarding.
It was in that year that her aunt decided it was important to start teaching her how to use knives and other small blades for self-defence. Sayana took quite a liking to it and practiced quite diligently, unlike any of her reading and writing which lay hopelessly forgotten from that point forwards. At the age of sixteen, Sayana’s aunt gave her a gift of twin daggers ornamented with a cobra on each of the hilts. Sayana has treasured these two blades ever since and almost never goes out without them. Throughout her adolescence, Sayana worked in Ahnatep as a dancer, an entertainer, a server, and sometimes as a companion. The occasional incident was usually resolved by a display of her skill with a blade, though sometimes it resulted in a fight or a tumble. Rarely did she have to call upon the help of someone else. Although her parents did not chastise her for choosing the path she did, it did not take long to see that they had refocused their efforts to her sister Karu. Unlike Sayana, Karu had a natural interest for reading and learning. It was perhaps this favor towards Karu that made her parents more lenient or at least less protective when Sayana decided to set outside the walls of Ahnatep.
Recent History
Traveling from Ahnatep to Syliras :
In the early spring of 514 Sayana set out from Ahnatep with the money she had saved up and only her most important belongings. She craved to leave the city she had grown up in and sought out new sights, adventure, and a chance to explore – like all the great travelers do. It was also a time in her life where she was quite sure of herself and itched to see more of the world. She acquired a horse (which she rode awkwardly), as well as some other travel gear. Then she set her course northwards towards Cyphrus and the cities that lay beyond.
She got through the first eight days without any serious incident and was about to spend her first night in Cyphrus when the dark shadow struck. Her instincts were quick, but the Zith was quicker. She found herself pinned to the ground in a matter of moments, but then a sound of surprise escaped the Zith’s lips. He started looking at her arms with fascination (rather than hunger) and even began to back off a little to examine them further. She seized the opportunity to reach for her daggers but he saw the movement and snatched them quickly from her grasp.
And then began her season of capture, Sayana always trying to escape while the Zith always trying to maintain his newfound (and highly unique) slave. He was a young Zith, only nine years old and just nearing adulthood, and she soon found he had made the journey because he wanted to see the sands of Eyktol. She promptly led him south along that small leg of her journey and he was fascinated by the cool sands and vast dunes in the distance. But as the sun rose, the light became unbearable for him and she used it to attempt another escape. It was rather futile and only managed to get her knocked out for several hours as he carried her limp body northwards to seek shelter from the blazing sun.
As they continued northward, the Zith was constantly asking about what Eyktol and specifically Ahnatep was like. At first Sayana thought the curiosity was just some kind of ruse to let her guard down, but as she learned that it was actually genuine, she realized it was probably what was keeping her alive. She had heard horror stories of Zith when she was growing up, yet this one had only tried to kill her once… or maybe twice if you count her attempted escape. He seemed particularly interested in her arms and took great delight when she showed him tricks with them. As her knowledge on Ahnatep started to get stale, she thought she’d show him some of her dancing. The Zith became intensely focused on her and her body, and soon began to explore it in ways that were far less enjoyable. She knew she liked it rough, but his raw and brutal passion was more than she could handle. It was her first sexual encounter in which she screamed from pain and fear.
From that point she started asking the Zith more about himself and where he was going and whether he had family. At first he was vague and unrevealing, but when she stopped telling stories about life in Ahnatep, he got frustrated to the point of being violent, then finally conceded and started sharing his own culture with her. The most important points were that he was from the colony of Xy on the border of Cyphrus and Sylira, and that he planned to take her there to become a colony slave.
As they neared Xy, Sayana developed a plan to escape. An actual plan, not just a spur of the moment attempt. She started dropping hints of fabulous places north of Xy, but not too far. Places that the Zith would never have been told about because his family would be too scared to venture there. But also remarkable places too, and with remarkable people. Before she had left Ahnatep she had memorized a map, and hoped that if they went far enough north, they might just reach Syliras or at least the surrounding lands there.
She also promised a sexual favor when they got there. One that he would have never come across, and one that she would never do if forced – even if she was screaming from pain. She managed to convince him to travel past Xy, and when it came to the ‘sexual act’ she convinced him to remove the ropes he had tied her arms with. She began with passionate love making using all six arms. As he became more thoroughly distracted she reached for one of her daggers with one of her free hands. That’s when she struck. She dealt a terrible wound to his lower back. He yelped and immediately took flight. She was only just able to hang onto her dagger as he went up into the air. For a moment it looked as though he was about to dive back down to attack, but it seemed as though he realized that his wound could be lethal if it wasn’t attended to quickly.
At last she was free from him. However, she didn’t waste a moment of time as she pushed onward to Syliras. She knew the Zith’s colony was not far and she didn’t want other Zith coming after her. Sayana pressed hard and started each day before the sun came up, carrying on till dusk. When she had been the Zith’s prisoner, he had raided travelers and helped scavenge food for her as well as himself. Now she only had a few days’ worth of food if she stretched it out far enough. Fortunately, she found the Kabrin road on the second day and it led her to the gates of Syliras. Safe from the Zith.
History: Post-Character Creation
Sayana lived in Syliras from Midsummer 514 to the end of Summer 515. During this time, she met her lover and husband Aren. They married mid-Summer 515 but it all came crashing down when she had a miscarriage and sunk into depression. Rather than face the hardships and become more united with Aren, she fled her life in Syliras and took a ship to Alvadas.
Sayana spent the Fall 515 in Alvadas trying to recreate a family by adopting a boy named Timothy. She also purchased a young Eypharian slave by the name of Nephti. Timothy was no replacement for her lost son, but in time she grew closer to Nephti and began treating her like a daughter.
Meanwhile, she pursued her vengeance on the zith race and successfully killed on of the Kalean zith. However, it was not without consequences and in early Winter 515 she was hiding from the zith colony within the illusions of Alvadas. On the 21st of Winter 515, she was captured and tortured by the Seamstress, a Speaker of Alvadas, for her crimes. She was forced to take the illusion of a zith and could only get rid of it if she proved herself by leading and uniting the zith of Alvadas. On the 81st and 82nd of Winter 515, she led them against an undead army that was attacking the city of Alvadas. She was not alone, and Alvads alike fought against the invasion.
Sayana then returned to Syliras on the 20th of Spring 516. Her zith illusion had been removed but she was also changed. She had the power to fight and the power to betray. She was also finding herself more and more addicted to hypnotism and the control it gave her. She did not immediately seek out her friends and instead took the time to re-acclimatize herself to the city of the Knighthood. She lived in her apartment in Syliras and would spend a good portion of time in the Bronze Woods when the weather was warm.
In mid-Spring 516, Sayana met Clyde Sullins. It was the first time in a long time that she was truly scared of an individual. Even though she didn't know the full extent of Clyde's magic, she could tell that it was far beyond her own and part of that 'not knowing' made him seem even more dangerous. Naturally, she wanted to befriend him rather than have him as an enemy, and by early Summer of 516 she had taken a Grand Oath of his making.
Sayana and Clyde made a short journey to Alvadas in Summer 516. On this journey Sayana's tutelage in magic began, first with Auristics. During this time she also learned of the god Rhysol and was enchanted with the idea of a god who rewarded people for exploiting other's weaknesses and exerting one's superiority. She had always been one to challenge herself and be better, even if it was at the expense of others.
They returned to Syliras near the end of Summer 516 only to set off once more for the beautiful city of Ravok.

Zith Wings: Immaculately sewn, what few tears and damage had been done to the wings is gone. They seem to shimmer in the darkness, and they're incredibly light while still maintaining their natural durability and flexibility. They carry a faint scent of rose.
Zith Cloak: Reaching to the middle of Sayana's calves, the fur is a soft, luxurious layer, shimmering slightly in the darkness. The inside of the garment is a fine, supple leather, enough to provide heat without becoming overbearing. Though not water proof, the fur is water resistant. Its hood, when raised, has ears that protrude to either side, angled slightly towards the back her of the head. The clasp is one of bone and hair, easily slipped into and out of place at one's attention. It carries a faint scent of rose.

Food and Spices
Note: These are foods and spices that she'll commonly have at home. They were originally bought using the Master Price list, however, if they are used in a thread then it is assumed that they will be replenished using the money from seasonal expenses (common).
Divine flower from Rhysol (obtained on the 68th/69th of Summer 517 AV) in this thread via this event.
Magenta Flower of Indecision :
Magenta Flower of Indecision The bloom of indecision. This flower will open and close with the moods of its owner. When it opens, it releases pollen which affect everyone differently. User’s choice but it will be the same every time and only last for a few bells (ST discretion). Eating/smoking/consuming will result in a really cool high for up to a day then leaves a nasty hangover.
Mood 'Conditions': The flower opens and closes depending on whether Sayana is actively thinking/praying to Rhysol. It is only open when she is thinking of Rhysol, and that is when the pollen is released.
Effect: When subject to the pollen, Sayana will receive visions. She only receives one vision each time the flower opens, but the duration and clarity of the vision is influenced by how long the flower is open and she is exposed to the pollen. These visions are real occurrences that are happening in that very moment (likely somewhere else in Ravok) in which betrayal, lies, or deception are actively taking place. The flower's effect and pollen only work in Ravok, and only reveal scenes that are taking place within Ravok. The lakeshore does not count.
Flaws: There are two flaws. First, that they are very random since they could happen anywhere in the city regarding anyone, but they all have a theme of betrayal/lies/deception. And since they take place in that very moment, there's no predicting of these events. Secondly, if there doesn't happen to be an event currently happening which has those themes, then she will still get a vision but it will be a complete lie/fabrication. This might happen about 25% of the time.
Other conditions: The longer the flower is open, the clearer the vision becomes. She can attempt to have multiple sequential visions, however it is difficult to have more than 3 in a row, and the likelihood of them being lies from Rhysol increases with that kind of repetition.
Miscellaneous: Care for it like a normal flower, though this bloom will also leech magic from its owner.
Item for Zith illusion - Possessed from Winter 21, 515 AV to Winter 82, 515 AV.
Temporary Zith Illusion :
Special: "Eye of the Beholder" - A small needle of azure metal, about the size of an inch and a quarter of hair. When placed inside someone, they become illusioned to appear as the user desires when the Eye is inserted. This effect lasts indefinitely or until the user determines to remove the Eye. While under the illusion, the host can only see their new appearance in the eyes of other people or animals. The longer the illusion persists, however, the more their physical body begins to adapt to it, changing as much as it can to maintain the illusion itself. The item cannot be removed by mundane means, however any priest of Ionu can remove the Eye if they wish to. If the Eye remains within its host for longer than a season, the host will physically begin to shift into the object of their illusion; if the Eye is not removed by the end of the second consecutive season, the host becomes its illusion and the Eye can no longer be removed until death.
Acquired on the 21st of Winter 515 AV. Removed on the 82nd of Winter 515 AV. Additional information here. It is currently embedded in her chest and cannot be removed (other than by a priest of Ionu). Her forced illusion is that of a zith.

Syliras Apartment Details :
After Winter 36, 514 AV. Sayana's apartment is located in the Maiden District of Syliras. It used to be rather dark and dingy but she has completely redone the interior decoration. On the walls and ceiling are large elegantly draped pieces of cloth attached to the wooden beams that span the ceiling. This brings bright colours to her home and gives it a warmer feel. Above the cloth is red and deep purple rippling gently along the ceiling and there are bright yellow pieces of cloth giving the faint impression of sunlight shining through a window. Elsewhere the colours vary from red to blue to green but are all arranged in a flowing way about the walls of the apartment. There is a small patch of two square yards on the wall that seems to be vacant of fabric.
The furniture itself is well made and of good quality. Sayana kept the original basic pieces of furniture that she needed to get by, so some of these pieces are of a lower quality (two tables, a chair, and a chest). The couches and table form a small living space and the table, chairs, cupboard and shelving unit provide a cooking and dining area. In the corner opposite to the hearth is a menacing six-foot candle that is a foot in diameter. This is only used for special occasions to light the room and otherwise the hearth and smaller candles are used.
