As Featured Character, I was asked what it would be like if Sayana and me (the writer) had a dance off. Therefore I decided to make a vlog demonstrating such. I included it in the interview as featured character but I thought I'd put it up here in case anyone in future wanted to see it.

So after getting some really great feedback regarding my vlogs as help for writing dance scenes (Matthew) and Keene mentioning trying some of my moves at home, I thought I'd do some instructional vlogs on belly dancing.

Hip Movements

Summary

Basic Moves:
- Vertical up and down
- Side-to-side
- Forwards and back
- Twisting

Combinations:
- Circles (horizontal plane)
- Figure 8s (backwards and forwards in a horizontal plane)
- Myahs / Fish (figure 8s in a vertical plane)

Shimmies:
- Basic shimmy
- 3/4 shimmy
- Shimmy walk

Chest Movements

Summary

Basic Moves:
- Vertical up and down
- Side-to-side
- Forwards and back

Combinations:
- Circles (horizontal plane)
- Circles (vertical plane)

Shimmies:
- Basic chest shimmy (starting with shoulder twists)

I decided to make a vlog explaining how to effectively write the multiple arms of Eypharians (and not get overwhelmed). This was initially put under the Featured Contributor of May thread. To keep my vlogs tidy and together, I decided to repost it here.

Whether or not it counts for the featured contributor award, I wanted to show new members (and old members) that Eypharians are not as complicated as they may seem and that they can be very fun to play.

So I made a vlog on Ballroom dance featuring Waltz and Foxtrot:

Summary:
Posture
- Leader (right hand on follower's back, left hand held high and clasped)
- Follower (left hand on leader's shoulder, right hand held high and clasped)

Ballroom dances are traveling dances that generally move in a circle counter-clockwise about the ballroom.

Waltz, box step
- Followers: Forward (starting on right foot), left together, back, right together
- Leaders: Back (starting on left foot), right together, forwards, left together

Foxtrot (slow, slow, quick quick)
- Followers: Back (starting on right foot), back, right together
- Leaders: Forwards (starting on left foot), forwards, left together

Note: When I was saying my lefts and rights, they were to match the computer screen to make it easier to watch and see. However, my explanation in the notes here refer to the actual direction I was going in, in my point of view. If this is confusing, I could always do a second vlog speaking the actual directions from my own point of view (or show me dancing from behind).

Someone was mentioning burlesque in chat so I thought I would do a very tame vlog on some basic burlesque moves.

Summary:
- More classy and about the costume and performance
- Conceal and reveal
- Masquerade mask
- Shawl toss
- Take off gloves with teeth
- Emphasize body parts (neck, hair toss, figure in general)
- Show leg
- Flip strap down

Note: I have not done any actual burlesque before but this is what I've learned from watching other videos online.

So it's been two years... Wow.

A lot has changed with Sayana and this next series of vlogs is about covering Sayana's IC history during my time on Mizahar. Also, it seems as though I've lost the user info for my other youtube account, hence a new one. And don't mind the 'flickering' of my lamp. It's just my webcam freaking out about the lighting and constantly adjusting.

For anyone new to Sayana, this is a good general recap of her plots and stories from Fall 514 to Summer 517. I might put a link on my CS, we'll see.

And without further ado, here they are in three parts:

Questions from Chat (Mostly Orin):
1) What would Sayana as she was when she just started out say if she could see Sayana now?
2) Most exciting development, how did you get here, what's changed the most? What's the same, what's different?
3) What goals do you notice that are different compared to what she wanted before?
4) Or maybe what paths she's begun to take? Because if you're in Ravok I'm sure you're up to no good. (Terag)
5) Do you approach writing Sayana different now than you used to?

7) What's harder and what's easier for you to write, if anything?
8 ) How much of Sayana's development was planned and how much happened naturally?
