Regarding flashbacks

Even though this might be obvious, I want to be certain in order to avoid possible mistakes:
1. My character is now in Sahova, but before getting there he lived in Ravok. If I wanted to write a flashback that takes place in that city, I have to start a thread in Ravok, am I right?
2. Misaele's grandfather (Ascanio) plays a very important role in his backstory as he is his best friend and the one who teaches him the basics of magic. So, if I wanted to train my OC's skills I could write a flashback where his grandfather explains him something regarding magic, right? But, in order to be able to roleplay as his grandfather too, should I post in Misaele's CS a NPC sheet? (Note that Ascanio has died in the beginning of Summer 517)

I would like a chance to review your cs before you write any flashbacks in Ravok regarding a mage. Have you submitted your cs for approval yet?
