Ko'Lara Fairtide Appearance Race: Konti Gender: Female Age: 36 Birthday: The sixth of Fall, 481 AV Birthplace: Upon the Suvan Sea Appearance: Ko'Lara is about 5'7'' so short by Svefra standards. True to her Konti heritage she is slim and light, with light blonde hair and blue eyes. She favors dresses that are about knee or calf length so they won't get tangled in her feet. She's naturally pale but having spent her life under the sun she is a little bit tan compared to most Konti but still pale compared to Svefra. Most of her Konti scales run up her legs to the middle of her back. Her Rak'Keli gnosis mark is on the back of her right shoulder. Character Concept Ko'Lara is a bit of a strange bird. She is Konti, and has a fragile and graceful appearance, as well as being soft spoken. Growing up among the hearty and passionate Svefra brought out a more wild side in her, and though her mother educated her well as to the ways of the Konti, Ko'Lara has always felt more at home with a deck beneath her feet and the sounds of ship life all around her. Her childhood always seemed much more picturesque to her than the quiet life her mother had told her of back in Mura. Ko'Lara is a healer by gift and by nature, and though her Gnosis is a gift from Rak'keli and her Konti heritage a gift from Avalis, she likes to think Laviku had a hand in it as well. She can sense weather, particularly storms, that approach from beyond the horizon. Surely this must be a blessing thought of by Laviku, for a wayward Konti upon the great Suvan. Ko'Lara is at a turning point in her life. Her mother returned to Mura some years ago, and even though her pod is family she is very aware that she is Konti, she doesn't need to look at her delicately webbed toes to see that either. Though her gifts and skills were always seen as an asset in pod life, Ko'Lara feels she needs to plant her feet on land instead of a ship for a while to really hone her craft. And she can't quite put her finger on it, but she feels as if she's searching for something, only Avalis knows what and she's not speaking. Ko'Lara is a stubborn soul for a Konti, and though she feels adrift she will take her time and find the thing she's searching for, even if she doesn't know what it is. She has time, why not make the most of every moment? Character History Ko'Lara, or Ko, as she's called among her childhood pod. Grew up with the Fairtide pod of Svefra that her mother traveled with for many decades. Ko's father was Svefra though she's not sure exactly who he was, since her mother was part of a small group that had romantic ties to each other. She grew up as most Svefra children do, swimming with the pod's Tavan, assisting the pod's elders, and living. Her mother made sure she had a good grasp on Konti culture and language, as well as understanding her place as one marked by Rak'Keli. Ko never really thought she would leave the pod, but soon felt 'the calling' to go somewhere else. The same calling that likely made her mother stay with the Svefra for nearly forty years, and also made her wish to return to Mura to raise the unborn child that would be Ko's little sister eventually. Ko chose to stay with the Svefra when her mother left, and as always her mother understood and respected her choice, wishing her well on whatever journey she took in life. After visiting once to deliver a merchant and his goods, Ko decided to return to Syka. As small as it was, she felt the place had a certain life and passion to it, not unlike a Svefra pod. House: Currently Ko has chosen to settle in Syka, as a settler she has been given 5 acres which includes a bit of beach to make her home. She currently has two tents set up, her living tent which is a basic four person tent, and her pavilion tent with open sides and bug netting which she plans to use as a sort of office when the weather is nice. Ko'Lara Fairtide Info on Ko's Pod Ko's Pod was reasonably large, but I will list notable people in it here. Jem - Young man in his twenties, Ko kind of had a thing for him but ultimately felt the call to leave. Ko admired and cared for this man. Jem had his own Casinor that had been left to him by his sister Flare, who joined another pod to be with her lady love. Corona - An elder woman who had trouble with her leg shortly before Ko left for Syka. Ko reminds Jem to make sure she gets exercise.
