There was only a simple answer given to the question and it did not give much to work with. Taurina was getting the feeling that Sloane did not wish to share about this based off the vague answer and also, the turn around of the question. The Ethaefal thought about ignoring the question, asking her own questions to get some more real answers. She did not think that Sloane’s given answer was false, just not the whole truth. Though, from the answer that she had given, Taurina thought that Sloane had been lucky.
Since Taurina did not have the whole picture, she decided to think that some Drykas had come out and rescued Sloane and taken her home with them. Maybe she had had other people with her that had also been brought back and given homes. That sounded somewhat like the Drykas. They tended to let people stay with them. Though once more, the expectations of this offer of shelter to the striderless from pavilions unlike the Stormbloods was lost to the Ethaefal. She just sighed and willed herself not to be jealous. Things were good for her now. That was what really mattered.
“No,” Taurina decided to just go with answering Sloane’s question instead of poking the girl for more information. She did not want to scare her new companion away and asking so many questions would likely do that, “It is a long story actually.. not the easiest to explain in Syna’s light. I will try if want me too.”
Unlike Sloane, Taurina was only sometimes secretive about her past. From the very beginning she had told all who asked about her dual nature. Because she spent every night that she could outside, people had noticed her celestial nighttime form. She had explained the best she could, keeping things about fact and not about her emotions. Talking about Leth and her time in his realm made her emotional for the memories were hard for her to recall without there being a formation of tears following.
The Eth did her best, hiding away what she could and always trying to steer every conversation away from her emotions. The only one to have started chipping away at that wall was Azmere… how he had done it, she was still unsure, but he had and strangely enough, she did not hate him for it. Instead she respected and trusted him for he had not scorned her for her emotions. Rather, he had known what it was like and connected with her in mutual brokenness. He had taken her home, given her a family, filled a piece of the void within her. She was eternally grateful and that left no room for hatred even of the wall being chipped away at.
“You felt something?!” Taurina gasped with excitement, looking over to the blonde who was looking at her as if the Eth knew what to do next, “I don’t know… yes, yes! Pull it in.. I think.”
Taurina laughed and stood up, her own pole with its empty line held loosely in her hands still. She watched Sloane with complete excitement and pleasure rippling through her body. Even though this was not her fish, it was a fish and the first of the day at that! Taurina was thrilled just to be somewhat apart of the experience. She raised up on her toes as if that would give her a better view of the situation. She waited for the fish to appear. Almost expecting it to simply fly out and onto the shore willingly. A silly image, but what else would a fish do? Taurina had not the faintest clue. This was a first for both of them.
“Is it working?” The Eth asked excitedly, bouncing on her own toes and matching Sloane’s own excited energy.
