This weekends challenge will be all about you and your PC(s). We want you to write write write. We don't care what you write about, but all participants going to be running a word marathon. You can either do a half marathon (4k words) or a full marathon (8k words).
Here's the deal. Pick a PC, register to attempt it, and decide what you want to run... the half or full. Then, each time you post IC (doesn't matter what type of threads, but it needs to be IC posts) note on that post from between the 29th-1st the word count of each post. When you hit 4K you've won at least a half word marathon. If you want to go further, keep writing. Hit the 8k word mark and you will win a full word marathon!
Some basic rules...
Please note Mizahar's built in word count function is not accurate. It will for example credit you with new words each time you hit 'preview' and will credit you with new words each time you edit a post. So don't go by that. We need actual word counts in each post.
The Good Stuff...
Half marathon winners will receive a magic item that can be slightly customized to their own preferences which will be somewhat random with a random dice roll chart. The items will be announced at the end of the marathon, so participate at your own risk! If half marathon winners go over the 4k but don't hit the 8k for a full marathon, we will give them EXTRA random rolls for the prizes so they have more chances getting the item or property they want... an extra roll will be awarded per 1k. Write 6K? Get a total of 3 random rolls (one basic plus two extra) when getting your prize.
Full marathon winners will receive the half marathon prize PLUS a major magical item that won't be customized but will be a standard big ticket item across all the full marathon winners. There will be no top word winner because we all know certain individuals are hard to beat and we want this fair for everyone. These winners will get a total of five random rolls for the basic prize.
Feel free to sign up anytime, but the count doesn't start before tonight midnight PST.
