When you look at Tamas the first thing you will notice her red hair and pale skin. Her eyes are blue, clear, and sharp like the crisp morning sky at sunrise. Her lips are the color of strawberries. Freckles cover her nose and shoulders. Like most of her kind, she likes to have exposed skin but wears a light cover to keep from getting sunburned. She does not tan well, she burns. She has long hair that would touch the ground if she undid the braids. She has glass beads braided in the strands of her hair.
She is not tall, being about a head smaller than most men. She has a thin athletic build.
When she is working, she likes to wear pant and a shirt with a leather apron. Papermaking is smelly work and she does not want to have her dresses smelling of the bleaching agents, the pulp, or the wash.
Outside of work, she likes to wear her dresses. She bought robes to wear when she is learning magic.

Tamas is a quiet girl that loves books. This is what she uses to hide from the world. When she was young, her father let her look at his books. He was a mage who ran a shop that made special toys. He started teaching her when she was about six how to use Automation Magic. She learned how to make her doll could do a simple thing, walk across the floor and stop. This was to be her secret and she worked hard on learning the skills she needed to work the art. One day tragedy hit their home in the form of fire. Her father died in the flames, she managed to escape. Now an orphan, she was taken in by the town’s bookmaker and his wife. She was starting an apprenticeship at the age of twelve.
One night about a year ago, her tools were helping her do the work when her Master walked into the shop. She was being shipped off to Lhavit to continue her study and learn magic.
Tamas is one of those people who are a little awkward. An example of this is when she dances she trips over her own feet. When she is working her crafts the awkwardness seems to vanish (This is more of a mental thing than a physical issue).
In terms of following a god, she follows Qalaya. Partially out of a love for books and the past and partially trying to remember what happened to her mother when she was younger.
