Ninjas wouldn't necessarily be in better shape than a pirate, not at all. Running a ship isn't exactly child's play. Discipline is overrated anyway.

The contortion is a slight point, because there are inevitably many femme piratas that can contort as well.

Also, pirate girlfriends make sandwiches better than ninja girlfriends. Ninja girlfriends are too busy being emo.

Why does everyone think ninja's are emo? they were revolutionists fighting an unjust system. There methods spoke of passion and the want of freedom from the oppressive lords of their land.

Ninjas are better than pirates.
For one, the ninja arsenal is so vast that their tools cover virtually every situation one could come across. Ranged weaponry, brutal blades, cloak-and-dagger technology like smokebombs and poisonous traps, and let us not forget that the ninja is also a master of diguise.

Secondly, the ninja treat their bodies like temples. In practice, ninjas could continue to live the life of a shadow warrior and assassin until their bodies simply gave up the ghost in their death-defying age. A master of ninjutsu is unmatched in stealth, and in combat, they are a frightening thing to behold. It is a proven fact that ninjas could stop the hearts of their foes with a single blow to the chest, and their swords were sharp enough that decapitations were a common sight instead of a rarity. They were used to violence, and their pain threshold was so high that most projectiles entering their body would merely prove an annoyance rather than stun them. Their endurance and stamina enabled a master ninja the ability to wait for days on end in normally life-threatening outside conditions while waiting for their target. A ninja knows patience better than anyone else.

Thirdly, the ninja is a god when it comes to subterfuge. If they had to combat a foe that had superior technology (which was rare, itself, given their broad adaptable natures), they could simply take a pellet the size of a marble, toss it at the ground and make smoke to provide cover, and then hurl a ceramic explosive at their enemy and blow them to bits. Remember, the ninja had explosives and other such pyrotechnic works at their disposal practically from the day of their foundation.

And pirates do exist today, that much is true. However... what type of warrior do special forces units around the world most resemble? The US Navy Seals are just modern-day ninjas, really. Spetsnaz, G2, Delta Force, NSA field agents... The list goes on and on, really.

Pirates had crimatic bombs too. The explosion itself was not that deadly but the shards that penitrate leather kinda suck huh? Piriates are not singularly stealthy in the way ninjas are, that is true... but, since they raided ships for valubles, would a ship captian just say "i see pirates, lets go over there!"? i think not. they hid entire ships waiting for the target. and single people being stealthy like assassins are not very useful a hundred miles away from land. if a ninja tried anything he'd have to face the entire ship.

They had simple guns too. It was hell to load one in battle but a metal ball hitting you square in the face at high speeds is still a kill shot. They had cannons too. not useful close up but a castle wall or other ships would be obliterated. Pirates are also rich. they be steelin' stuff.

I don't think, if I was a guy, I'd want to date a ninja chick. You guys could start a stupid fight (Because girls do that, I'm very guilty of it) and she could kill you in your sleep and you'd never suspect it. She could get away with it too, because who can catch a ninja?

Still, I'm a pirate fan. I bet it would be a little hard for a ninja to be sneaky on an old pirate ship.

Kind of a hard comparison to make. One on one, I'd take a ninja over a pirate, but in groups and most realistic battle situations (lol), pirates would likely have better coordination and tactics. Also, piracy seems like the less selective discipline, so they would probably have a numerical advantage in most cases.
