5 Winter, 510 AV
Iris was in her dove form, rustling her feathers, and settling into the thatched roof of one of the many buildings that lined Zeltiva. Her white dress and other belongings lay in a pile behind her.
Iris began preening her feathers as the wind began to pick up, and she heard a cooing sound overhead. Iris stopped what she was doing, and lifted her tiny dove head a bit so she could look into the sky. It was slightly overcast today- several ominous looking clouds lining the sky, and threatening to unleash rain down upon the world.
But through all of this flew a single tan-dove, casting a long shadow over her form. Coo coo, it kept saying, which translated to 'hello.'
"Hello," Iris called back in dove, as the bird's beady red eyes seemed to spot her and her belongings on the roof top. It swooped down to her, landing by her side on the rooftop.
"Hello," it said again, as Iris began to preen her feathers some more, as the other dove rustled its own. It stepped sideways moving closer to her, as though seeking the warmth of her body.
Uhh... what's he doing? Iris wondered, as she lifted her head to look into the blood-red eyes of the other dove. "You have nice eyes," it cooed.
"Uh... thanks..." Iris said back, shifting her weight uncomfortably, from left to right. Did this dove think she was another of its kind? Was he hitting on her because he intended to mate with her?
"And such beautiful feathers," the dove added, as though it were for good measure.
