This shining population center is considered the jewel of The Sylira Region. Home of the vast majority of Mizahar's population, Syliras is nestled in a quiet, sprawling valley on the shores of the Suvan Sea. [Lore]

He smiled faintly, glad that there were no added barriers between them other than those they now acknowledged. Also, to have his estimation of their ability to work together was heartening. He didn't want to end up the crazy, lonely old wizard in his ivory tower, but it often seemed like such would be his fate as he did not seem to mesh well with most people.
"I applaud the self-sufficiency of your race. Indeed, I attempt to cultivate the same capability within myself, but I do recognize that there are opportunities to be had outside the sphere of my experience. So... I am glad that Lhex's plan has brought you to Syliras.
"And I agree, teaching is the best way to learn something more completely. One immediately learns where one's assumptions are false, where the weakness in logic occurs, and the like."
He smiled again, faint, like he was embarrassed of any display of emotion. Perhaps he should have joined the cult of Gnora, after all. He wondered if Eanos was channeling Izurdin's grace now as he helped with the enchantment. It didn't seem polite to ask, though. |

"Well," he said meditatively, looking over the glyphs of his enchantment-sigil once again with an exacting eye, "I would start with the harmonics hammers, because one uses them for all enchantments to realign the djed pathways. They're small," he said, holding up the silver one he still held, "and I would probably begin with a standard strengthening enchantment to make it sturdier and less likely to warp or break after going to the trouble of enchanting it with the god's favor. The second enchantment would merely be a preparatory spell to prepare it for gnosis. The crafting of the actual hammer would be something you would have to do, as well as providing the grace of Izurdin. I could set up the sigil, or just plot it out for you on paper if you were going to do it all yourself."
He smiled.
"I would, however, recommend that you let me help with the actual enchantment, because between the two of us, the element of time could be shortened rather drastically." |

Excitement welled up in him at Eanos' suggestion, but he reined it in with what he hoped was good sense. His own gaze dropped, ducking his head to hide thought rather than a smile. When he looked up, he remained serious.
"I am sorely tempted to say yes," he said, "but in reality, I would hope to one day earn Izurdin's favor myself, and trapping it in a tool seems like a cheat. Not for you; that would simply be a clever augmentation. But for me... He hasn't favored me. Yet. Though perhaps if one day I do earn his favor, you will help me fashion the tools..." |

Eanos ducked his head in acknowledgement of the mans decision. He couldn't fault the choice though he wondered how someone who wasn't an Isur would go about such a thing. Come to that though, he wasn't exactly sure how anyone went about it with any of the gods. Yes, he'd known Isur who had several gnosis marks but it wasn't something that people talked about, or at least they never had around him, not anyone who knew anything in any case, only the idle gossip of children with grandiose plans for their future.
"A wise choice," he replied and shook his head. "Though I'm not sure that I would have made the same choice in your position." He smiled to take the edge of the words which might have otherwise have been taken otherwise to how he had meant them.
"So then, what do we do now?" It seemed time to change the topic of conversation away from any foot in the mouth comments he might have made. |

"Well," he said, perhaps too lightly, "if you speak to Izurdin, you can put in a good word for me, or at least ask him if he would mind you helping me with a set of blessed tools."
He rubbed his hand over his chin, looking at his table full of enchantment with a critical eye. Everything looked in order, and the djed seemed to be following the instructions of his glyphs, resonating correctly from their hammer tinkering.
"You can peruse my glyphs, check for any errors." Of course, most glyph work followed the understanding of the person writing them, but there were some systems and tricks to ascertain what another was about, and how to correct possible flaws. "But to be honest, most of the time with magecrafting, it's hurry up and wait. You can look at my plans," he added. "So much time is spent in preparation, that it's supposed to work rather like clockwork when the actual magic is happening." |
