Wa'Djinnabi Psomatik re Ahnatep
Appearance
A Seeker of wonders
Lorem Ipsum
Rather a tall fellow at 6 ft 6 in, with six long and muscular arms bronzed in the sun working hard days in the fields, Djinn is an imposing character when he desires. With thick dark hair and sun darkened skin, his straight white teeth and striking hazel eyes give him a pleasing contrast to his well bred and structured face. Thick wiry muscles cord down his limbs with very little fat betraying the active lifestyle of a laborer. His hands while calloused are surprisingly not rough, simply strong and used to work.
He often has trouble finding suitable clothes, often having to request cheaply made custom tailored things from friends he makes during his travels. When working he often wears sleeveless shirts with wide openings on the side to accommodate his unique physiology. While he caries himself with dignity and pride, he has so much confidence in himself that is actually rather ambivalent to his clothes, his simple fare more then serviceable. When he can be bothered his choice in fashion almost always rivals the local socialites in taste and cut.
Around his neck like a choker or fine necklace is his mark of Bala. It takes the form of silver, scar like roots the twine around his neck.

Concept
At turns quiet and withdrawn and at others prideful and arrogant. Or at least, his confidence in himself is such that others view him as a pinnacle of pride and haughty arrogance, though he truthfully does not see either trait in himself nor does he attempt to degrade others to boost his own ego. Djinn is rather high strung and has trouble turning off his serious nature, and will often take idioms and jokes at face value if they are put to him in common. This nature is where a tumble of his self confidence can truly hurt him, as self doubt, while rare, can leading to intense withdrawal and depression. When he does attempt humor it is as dry as the dunes of Syna's favored land. That isn't to say the man can't be charming and charismatic; it is just usually couched in terms of the desert, political and double edged.
Unfortunately he wears his culture like a cloak upon his shoulders and thus he has some ... controversial opinions. For instance, an utter disdain for certain races like the Kelvic and the Benshira. Despite this, he is remarkably tolerant for races and creatures that he has never met before. He simply has bad blood with certain representatives of certain races. But tolerance merely means that all others are below his social station. Which is difficult for him to suspend in places such as sunberth where there is no social stratum to lord over.
When he isn't being an arrogant insect he enjoys the incredibly mundane and definitely not below his station hobby of gardening and cultivating the earth like some sort of peasant. He has a dream of applying the Aladjunn to plants as well as creating magical, alchemical hybrids of plants. Djinn has also dabbled in brewing wines and spirits, though his talent is small at best. Additionally he is a voracious reader which has lent well to his occasional long journeys.
Deep down, below the veneer of arrogance and class, is a lonely soul who simply wants to get dirt beneath his nails while he gardens. He likes growing things and at times feels far more compassion for plants then the people around, especially when those people are steeped in intrigue.

(Note: Much of this character's history will be explored in game, either through discussion, reminiscence or flashback. So rather then a detailed history this will be an overview with relevant links added later.)
Wa'Djinnabi is a third son to a once wealthy family who has long had their star fade into obscurity by the time he was old enough to be called a man. Through bad deals, careless and wanton use of money and prideful insistence of a lavish lifestyle despite lean coffers, Djin's portion of his extended family has nearly fallen into destitution. However Djin's father was always a shrewd man and was able to save at least his immediate family from debtors and poverty. He even was able to give all of his children from his two wives a proper noble's education. Which laid the groundwork for setting his eldest, his son, up for taking over as head of the entire family when his ailing uncle finally leaves this world in Dira's embrace. In the process of also setting up Djin's older sister up as an acolyte of Syna, Djin's father set up Djin as an apprentice to a sort of crafter and mage in attempt to get a maker of an extremely rare form of luxury items, alchemical items.
Djin took to the world magic at an early age and had an excellent, if repulsive (to an eypharian), teacher. Something of a lecherHe was not a leecher (the magic) and more of a pervert and a benshira, the wizard taught him up until he was of age and not quiet a competent and proper alchemist when wanderlust took hold of him. He bade farewell to his family and boarded a ship to the various lands beyond. During his travels he rekindled a passion that was denied him due to his family's proud "status" and he sought the bounty and blessings of the earth through gardening and cultivating the land to pay his way through the world. He was approached by Bala in disguise and was given her mark. And so he traveled, seeing the wonders of the world and working as a farmhand when he ran out of money, saving up money until he could move on to the next place.
Until he ended up in Zeltiva.
