Sugar Glider Notes:
While I am using a number of resources meant for sugar glider pet owners, this is only because it's what is available. Please understand I do NOT endorse keeping sugar gliders as pets. They are wild animals and CANNOT be properly cared for in homes.It's literally built into Baiya's character arc but I'm getting there

Lifespan and Aging :

Sugar gliders live from 10-12 years in captivity. They are fully mature at 8-12 months, and infertile and considered geriatric after 5-7 years.

This means that each year of her life is roughly equivalent to 8-10 years of a human life, although her milestones are slightly different due to maturity coming a lot earlier for sugar gliders.

I have mapped Baiya's milestones as something like this:

• Born 50th of Summer, 517
• Reaches independence and moves out 90th of Fall, 517 (approx. 4 months)
• Sexual maturity by late Winter 517
• Reaches infertility by age 6 (human equivalent age 55), Summer 523
• Natural death would fall somewhere around 527-529
