52nd of Winter, 510 AV

Waking up rather early was somewhat of a fun routine for Aleksi. Stepping out of the bed on the cold ground always was a good way to clear your head.
Putting on a long cloak and going for some water though, wasn't always that amazing, especially if there were people around. All the noise and questions made Aleksi's brain practically boil in the morning. Bringing some water back to her tent and washing herself before putting her favorite, leather, tight top and pants on. It indeed was warmer that way, especially after putting the black, fur cloak on.
Yes.... every morning was pretty much the same for Aleksi and it looked like that.

After that, each day would go differently and this one seemed good. Giving Luc his morning treat and having some breakfast herself made everything seem even better.
The cat growled in appreciation as she scratched between it's ears, sitting on a rock nearby. Her eyes were locked on something in the distance and her voice seemed slightly distracted
"What do you say about a walk to the edge of the tent city boy?" and Luc, just like he understood her looked up, grinning, or whatever it was that this cat was doing.
On that, Aleksi stood up of course, lightly stretching her body and then turning towards the place Nott was, smiling brightly of course.
"Well boy, let's go get Nott first"

When her footsteps were close enough for Nott to hear them, he got his head up, searching for what he missed the most. Noticing a female shape in the distance, he got very loud, playful.. and all in all, happy...
Both of them, Luc and Nott knew how to instantly bring a smile to Aleksi's face. Her fingers lightly moving over the horse's head while Luc played around with it's tail. When one would look at them this way, it looked as if they were one big, happy family.
Was that true?
Well, probably, but then again, Aleksi was missing something... or someone...

I swear this Endrykas is getting bigger by the day.. (Leto)

Postby Leto Sunsinger on January 21st, 2011, 8:29 pm

Morning as it was, Leto woke up, and sat up within his tent and bedroll. Another winters day, another day to think and do things, try to become more social than he had the past thirteen years of his life. Looking up, the young ruby clan member sighed, and then got up and out of the bed. Slowly putting on his clothes, undergarmets first, followed by leather pants, and leather vest, he clasped his cloak around his neck, and then headed out of the tent flaps into the cool, crisp morning air, much different than his tent which was warmer due to the fact there was no wind there. As he made his way out, Arias, his strider was laying next to the tent, patiently waiting for him. The strider stood up, and Leto patted his side. "Shall we go riding today?" he asked, and then slowly got himself up and onto the horse, swinging one leg up and over so that he was straddling it.

Gently tapping his heels upon the horse, Leto began his trek throughout the city, a morning stride for just him and Arias, something he decided he'd try doing every morning, along with his general run to keep in shape. Looking around as he rode the horse, his hood down, and his strange hair showing, he decided that it be best to head towards the diamond clan's pavilion. Not that he ever did business with them, but he never really got to know them that well, and perhaps he should be social with all of the clans, and not just the ones that he did business with on a daily basis. As the twenty seven year old man made his way through the tents and pavilions, he kept his eyes out for any wares he might like to purchase at some point in time. Perhaps I should learn about weaponry and combat at some point in time, he thought, but then put the thought away as he decided he enjoyed the arts of summoning, webbing, and glyphing much more.

Most of his tattoes happened to be glyphs, but weren't active as he didn't form any sigils with them, and they also spelled out words in Pavi as well. As he continued his trek throughout the diamond clan's pavilion, he finally made his way up to the War Storm Pavilion, the headquarters of the Diamond Clan. Looking around, he smiled, and then began to head back. I guess it's just not for me... right now anyways, he continued to think, his inner thoughts always getting the best of him. Perhaps he was too much of a thinker, and thinking always seemed to get him into trouble anyways. Looking around at the men of the Diamond Clan, he rarely noticed the woman, as he didn't really have an eye for them, but then again, he never had much of an interest in them. His aunt and uncle knew that, and they had resigned that Leto would never get married for that purpose, at least to a woman.

But, that didn't stop him from befriending them. He had decided at the beginning of winter, that he'd work on becoming more social, and be around people more. So, that was what he was going to do, learn, be social, and live life, as he had been hiding from it the past fourteen years of his life. Passing by a girl, whom had a horse and cat with her, he didn't notice her at first, but upon glancing, the cat seemed kind of interesting and cute. "Cute cat you have there..." Leto said, deciding to speak up, and perhaps try to befriend the younger girl. Everyone seemed to be younger than him, except for his elders, whom were much older than him. He seemed to be the only one of his age bracket around town nowadays, but that didn't bother him too too much. It was just another day in the everyday life of Endrykas...
Back again... for a lil longer this time I hope.

I swear this Endrykas is getting bigger by the day.. (Leto)

Postby Aleksi on January 24th, 2011, 4:18 pm

Aleksi's morning was getting more and more amazing by the second. Yes, there was still that feeling there... that she was missing someone... but now, she even knew who. Tebridiar must be around there somewhere.... The only woman... or well, the only person she ever loved... at least that way. She knew it was strange, but there was nothing she could or would want to do about it anyway. That little Kelvic stole her heart and she didn't want it back.
Her feet moved off the ground, and if one was just looking at them, they would be surprised, since it looked like she was flying... but in fact, she just sat sideways on Nott's back, lightly placing a kiss on his strong neck.

All of the happiness was somewhat interrupted by what she thought was said to her... "Cute cat you have there..."
Cute? Luc cute? She doubted that's how many people would describe a large, predator looking hunting cat, but hell... Whoever said that must have some weird way of looking at things.
Her gaze moved up, looking for whom did that voice belong to and with not much of a surprised look on her face, she noticed a young man on his horse.
He wasn't someone she knew, and the first thought that got into her mind was "Damn... this Endrykas is getting bigger and bigger each day... I should pay more attention to what is going on around"

Her eyes went down to Luc again, grinning wide, she clapped her hands twice, on which she came to the side of her feet and sat down calmly "Why thank you, even though I doubt he is cute... What do you think, big boy?" finishing her sentence by of course talking to the large, almost grinning cat.
He seemed so proud sitting next to the horse and Aleksi's feet. It was obvious he is a predator by just taking one look.
"I'm Aleksi, by the way.... I haven't seen you around and you don't seem like you're new... "

Large predator cats could be cute too, thought Leto, as he looked towards him, and thought about it. He seemed to be a handsome cat as well, in charge of things. "If he'd rather be called handsome, I could deal with describing him as that," Leto said with a smile upon his face, jesting a bit with her. But then again, where were his manners? He looked towards Aleksi, whom introduced herself, and he then said, "My name is Leto Treebearer, of the Ruby Clan... I mostly have kept to myself, and have stuck around my own pavilion with my aunt and uncle..." He didn't want to tell sob stories as of yet, or give much of a background to why he was living with his aunt and uncle, but perhaps he'd save that for another day.

"It is nice to meet you Aleksi," he said, looking towards her, and then patting his own strider, Arias. Her elaborate tattoeing was an amazing feature, and it drew Leto to be more interested in her, as well as the cat that was sitting next to her. He nodded, and then blinked a bit as he looked towards her with dignity, not staring, as he merely looked elsewhere every so often, but enough to keep his attention focused upon her. Taking a hand and pulling back the hood that was upon his head, so that she could see his facial features fully, he had a dark gaze about his eyes, one that he kept focused upon her. His hair was missmatched colors, starting off black at the roots, but then growing into a blonde towards the tips. It was a birth defect from when he was younger, one that happened to have stayed with him for quite some time now, and would for the rest of his life more than likely.

Smiling, he looked down towards her predator cat, one that was obviously not a kitten anymore, not as cute and cuddly as one, but still cute nonetheless, at least in Leto's opinion. "What's his name?" he then asked, referring to the cat, still the topic of their brief conversation as it was. Looking down towards the cat, Arias; his strider; snorted briefly, wondering why Leto would even take an interest within the cat. It wasn't like anything he could summon from another world. That's usually the type of creature that Leto took an interest in, once he found out that there were other worlds out there, when he was much younger. He had found that using various convesation starters, he might even be able to learn more about people, given that he wanted to broaden his horizons nowadays.

He thought back to his time in the wilderness, when he was younger, the incident that had occured, but then pushed the thoughts out of his mind. Perhaps if they had had a hunting cat, much like this predator cat, they wouldn't have been in that much trouble. But the creature they were facing, that had killed his parents had been much unlike anything else, and he barely had managed to escape. At least he was able to be healed, albeit the scars of the past still remained upon his body, not that he allowed anyone to see them, given the fact he almost always wore a cloak to cover them, even in the summer season when it was quite hot outside...
Back again... for a lil longer this time I hope.

She giggled at the comment about Luc. It seemed as if this man was somewhat more interesting then all that she had known in Endrykas so far... well, other then Eldon.. That was one hell of an interesting meeting. Introducing himself made Aleksi wander slightly. She did not spend too much time around Ruby clan, so that was probably why she has never seen him before. Or maybe she has... she just didn't pay too much attention to any of the males...
Luc growled at the handsome comment, even though Aleksi was sure she had no freaking idea what the man was talking about... the growl could have been caused by her giggle...
"Well, he is rather popular around ladies, I think... pleasure to meet you Leto... It has been a while since I've been around your clan actually... might be reason why I've never met you..."

Jumping down, off of Nott's back, she grinned, lightly scratching between Luc's ears. The cat actually acted like a kitten again, rubbing his large head against her leg, purring (even though it sounded more like a pretty loud growl) every time she'd look at him.
"His name is Luc.. a gift from my father for my birthday... It's slightly unusual for someone from my clan to breed cats, but oh well.."
It seemed as something was on her mind when the sentence ended. One couldn't guess what, but she knew it. She knew that it was her missing her family.. and even more so, missing Tebridiar.

"How come you are up so early? Oh and..." she looked back at Nott, slowly patting his neck before adding "Quite an amazing strider you got there Leto... he looks powerful and rather brave"
She wasn't used to seeing anyone her age around, or well, he appeared so. Maybe he was older? or younger? she couldn't be sure, but one thing that got her attention were all the tattoos over his body. Looking down her own, slightly uncovered skin, because of the way she was standing made her think. Was that a bit too much? Was that strange? Was that why all of them thought she was crazy?
Could be... but that was one of the things she would never give up, as well as the necklace that was showing off, over her cloak. A leather strap with little white pieces of what seemed to be rocks... but in fact were teeth and pieces of bones or armor from animals or warriors she has killed.
"You seem to be a lover of tattoos as well... May I ask what brought that up in you?"

I swear this Endrykas is getting bigger by the day.. (Leto)

Leto was indeed a tattoo lover. He had runic tattoos all over his body, meaning different things, but at the same time not actively magical as they weren't meaning anything that would be a trigger, focus, or barrier. The largest rune, which she could see poking out of the top of his vest, was a triangle, with a line across it. Elsewhere, on his arms, and upper arms, which he had uncovered via the cloak that was along them, she could see the various tattoes of a glyphing nature, the glyphs that he had placed upon him to show he was a competent glypher, one of the ruby clan.

Slowly dismounting Arias, he landed his feet upon the ground, and looked up towards her. "Oh these?" he asked as he looked down towards them, unclasping his cloak, and sliding it off of his body, revealing scarring above his upper arms and across his chest, but also more glyphing on his upper arms and such. "They are my windmarks... I recieved them when Arias chose me as his rider. They chose to give them to me in the form of glyphs since I was a competent glypher at the time," he said explaining how he got the tattoes, as well as why they were given to him in the form of glyphs. They were his windmarks, shown that he was a member of the clans, a full fledged member for when Arias had chosen him. Smiling, he then looked towards her, and said, "You seem to have more elaborate tattoes as well, they look very well done..."

Admiring the fact that she had them as being a full fledged member of the clans, he figured that they were more than likely her windmarks, as he strider was probably the one to choose her. Letting his dark gaze fall towards Luc, her cat, whom was acting like a kitten and purring, and even though it sounded like he was growling, Leto grinned. "How did you get your tattooing?" he then asked, as his dark black eyes looked towards her, wondering how exactly she had aquired hers, and what had her get it so wildly upon herself...

Aleksi smiled and watched Leto get off of his strider's back. Her eyes followed every move he made, noticing all the little tattoos over his body and allowing her lips to curl into an even bigger smile. It was nice to see someone who liked tattoos as much as she did. Yes, windmarks were something almost every Drykas had, but for Aleksi, even just regular tattoos were something special. Hell, most of her body actually was covered with regular ones, hiding her scars.

Her fingers lightly moved over her exposed arms, then along her cloak, pulling it off lightly and holding it. Doing that uncovered a huge, new piece of art, that actually was this woman's body. It seemed as if there was not even one inch of her skin that is uncovered with tattoos.
Her eyes moved proudly over all of the marks, knowing each and every one of them had their own story, but at the same time, they made one huge story together.....

"Well, my windmarks are not visible currently, since I'm slightly more dressed then I was, during the summer... But these tattoos that you can see, I've been getting since my early age.... 11 I'd say.... All of them came after a battle... or well", she hummed for a second, looking for something and then pointing at the big tattoo of a cat on her sides, which was barely visible if she moved her top
"This one is almost as important to me as my windmarks... I got it when I got Luc.... this represents his mark on me..." lightly drawing her fingers over the scar she had just under the paw of the smiling cat. It seemed as if the cat itself scratched her, which actually happened.... Luc happened, that is...

"The rest though, came after almost every battle... just like this necklace here... Every piece of it belongs to someone or something else and every tattoo represents one scar", said the woman, hoping she did not talk too much.

OOCIt's fine, I do not have long posts myself, as you see... and I hope that's not too bad

I swear this Endrykas is getting bigger by the day.. (Leto)

She was certainly not talking to much. As quiet as a person Leto was, usually, he had decided this season to broaden his horizons, meet new people, and talk more to people; socialize more than he normally would be doing. Normally, he'd be sitting within his tent, practicing glyphing, or working with a web, not getting too indepth with one, but just scratching the surface of webbing as he was scare to get lost within the giant web that covered Cyphrus and perhaps beyond. Or he would be helping his uncle and aunt out with something, trading with the Reimancers, or just in general staying within his pavilion. He was never a social person before, and always had dreamed of going out to be one, be an extrovert like most of the Drykas, but in the end, he hid, and his nightmares of the wild, and what had happened fourteen years ago took hold.

But, that was what he used to do, and this season it was much different. He was quite ready to do things on his own, meet new people, and talk, most definitely talk. "The symbolism behind your tattoes is quite amazing. How each and everyone represents a scar from battle? I certainly wish I could say that all of my scars were from battles," he said, looking down towards the scars that covered his upper arms, chest; those were just the visible ones. There were more that covered his stomach as well as his back and lower back, even a few on his legs. He had been attacked when he was younger, and if it was only his parent's bravery that had saved him, unfortunately his brother disappeared as well during that time, the two of them running off in opposite directions. The scars of his past would remain throughout his future, whether they were psychological ones, or physical ones.

"But those are stories for another time, i suppose..." he said, pulling the cloak over his body once mor, covering his arms, and chest again, clasping the neck piece together to hold the cloak over him. "It is good for tattoes to tell a story, i think... or at least have a story behind where they came from, or why you got them... Whether it be your windmark from becoming a full fledged member of your clan, or just a tattoo in general. A story of how you obtained it, or why you obtained it, their reason for being there... that's what is more important than the actual tattoo... it can speak for your experiences..." he then said, hoping that he himself was not talking too much, or going too deep with what he was saying, as he was enjoying the conversation. His tone of voice could attest to his enjoyment as it was a happy tone, and not a dull boring tone...

I swear this Endrykas is getting bigger by the day.. (Leto)

Postby Aleksi on January 27th, 2011, 5:43 pm

Aleksi smiled warmly and nodded, doing the same thing Leto did with his cloak. It still was kind of chilly. The words he was saying made Aleksi think. The symbolism amazing? Yes, she was proud of them, but why amazing? It meant she got hurt... it meant they almost managed to defeat her?
But when he said that he wished he could say all of his scars were from battles she just nodded. It was quite clear that there were other, worse ways to get a scar and a tattoo over it, and this man seemed to know all about it.

Aleksi didn't say much there, but as she reviewed all of the said things, she just giggled quietly. Experiences indeed.... She should probably get a new one... To mark the day when she met Tebridiar and fell in love with the most beautiful kelvic woman on earth... but then again, what if the free spirit in Tebridiar takes her away from Aleksi?
What will happen then? She can't actually have a mark of her and then, just... continue living, can she?
She shrugged and slowly rubbed Nott's neck again, adding
"The only problem I'm having is that I'm running out of skin to tattoo... it's slightly annoying....

Rubbing the back of her neck, she slowly moved her hands onto Nott's back, jumping up like she was jumping over a little rock.
Hearing the horse react under her made her smile wide. Bonding with a Strider was something she neglected for a while, but when she got it, she was sure that from the moment on, she will not be able to live away from Nott.
"The tattoos on your body... they seem like those... umm.. glyph marks, am I right? I'm not a really strong believer into such things, since I never had any contact with it, but I can't say it doesn't interest me... More and more people I'm getting to know are doing that..."

Leto nodded as she spoke of his tattoes. Indeed they were glyph markings, none that meant anything that could hurt him, as of now that is. But then again, he had never wanted to actually use a glyph to enhance his own body, merely to give the various personality traits of himself, in a language that only he could understand. He did agree with her, that running out of skin to tattoo would be a problem. Especially if you enjoyed tattoing as much as she seemed to. "Perhaps you should make smaller tattoes?" he jested briefly, a smile crossing his face as she got back atop of her strider. Looking down towards the ground briefly with his obsidian black eyes, his dark gaze returned to her only a moment later.

"They indeed are glyphs," he then replied. "Each one represents a part of my personality... but the main one in the center of my chest," he said, and pulled his cloak open once more, opening the vest to reveal a triangle with a line across the center of it. "This one is my actual windmark... to me it represents a split in power, as the triangle was my symbol for power, and the line across it splits it... When I had earned it, it was my very first tattoo... afterwards, i decided to place each of my personality traits and flaws into glyphs upon my body, to represent me as a whole, who I am..." he continued, and then allowed the vest and cloak to fall back into place, closing upon his chest, and allowing the glyphs to disappear beneath them.

"I'll likely add more as I gain more experiences, more things to describe me, and grow more as I grow older... for now though, these are what I have," he said with a smile, as he looked up towards her. Placing his hands upon Arias, who snorted in happyness, Leto swung himself up on top of his strider, and then looked towards Aleksi. "Did you have anything planned for the day?" he then asked, as he watched her. "If not, might you wish to take a ride with me around Endrykas? I was pretty much just going to practice my riding, as i'm not entirely good with it one might say... that's why I was up so early within the morning..." he said, looking towards her, and answering her previous question to him, one he had neglected to answer at first, but finally remembering to answer it.

If she was amiable to riding next to him upon her strider, then Leto was well ready to do the same. He would enjoy making a new friendship with her, and learning more about her, all the same. Already he could say their aquaintance was a decent one, as they had some things in common, and he was happy to know that there were others out there that enjoyed tattooing. Whether or not she had an interest in glyphing didn't really matter... it was Leto's main profession, and he'd never give it up, but rather would like to improve upon his skills at times. If she ever wished to learn it, Leto wouldn't mind teaching her, given she was Drykas, and a full fledged member of the clans. Though, without another magical discipline, it would be difficult to learn, but perhaps she could teach him something of weaponry and fighting, given he didn't know much about it, and had stuck to his glyphing when he was younger...
Back again... for a lil longer this time I hope.
