Lucius Walker
Appearance
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Birthday: 5th day of Winter, 493.
Birthplace: Zeltiva
Appearance: Lucius is a large man with broad shoulders which lead up to a thick, veiny neck. His oily black hair begins with a widows peak that slinks towards the back of his head, the sides of which are uniformly shaved befitting a Wave Guard. Often his hair is tied back in a bun when grown to long, leaving his baggy blue eyes, square jaw and thick cheek bones alone to form his typical solemn face.
Naturally a man of his size is rather top heavy and his powerful frame seems to be the direct cause for his lack of flexibility and balance. His bad habits don't help of course and a fast life of forced abuse has begun to take it's toll on the body. Having taken to smoke rather young Lucius finds it difficult to breathe after short sprints or long marches. The night life at local taverns in the Sailors Quarter; a life he was once proud of mind you, only blessed him with baggy, hollow eyes. Years of binge drinking and tavern crawling made his red nose reflect a soft reddish hue. Luckily his teeth remain straight, possibly due to a good bloodline, but a faint layer of yellow can be seen if Lucius offers a good smile.
Besides his greased hair, stern facial features, raw frame and raggedly rough appearence Lucius skin is most odd being an unnaturally pale white. He's an albino under medical terminology the university teachers told his parents such, much to their shock and great reluctance.
Character Concept
One could say Lucius was born into a family which had everything, wealth, privlage, security, he never wanted as a child and thus one would call him blessed. However if you looked closer at the boy his skin was a milky white color with a sharp contrast of full black hair which only lead to the rumor that the walker woman had sired a mutant. He looked weird, all agreed, and after his mother gave birth to him the story goes that she refused to hold her baby. Instead the bed maids were told to place him in his crib and for three days Lucius was left there, alone, crying, but breathing.
In time his parents faced the fact that their firstborne son wasn't normal. Which only made his parents more reserved. They'd hoped for a son whom they could show off at dinner banqets and feasts for their high society friends. Instead of that Lucius was given to the servent women to care for and arranged a room in the tower connected to the family home. He'd be kept away from others, hidden up in his tower, only left as a whisper for others to talk about. It was here that he'd grow to be a child, then a boy and eventuyally a teenager. Alone, save for his tutors or instructers which his parents dilligently provided for him.
As Lucius aged into a young man his mother became pregnant with another child and his parents openly rejoiced. Around this time is when he began acting out in a rebellious manner. The banquets Lucius was allowed to attend at this time often ended in him being drunkenly carried off. Also he openly began ignoring the wishes of his father while they were amidst company. It was obvious he was rebeling to his parents but ultmiately they ignored him, sending him to his tower to think on his actions.
When his mother gave birth to their next child all seemed well for the family, much to Lucius's disgust. Now as a young man Lucius decided it was time to leave and he made a proposal to his father. Offering to join one of his trade ships and accompany them on a voyage out to sea. His father accepted and allowed him to shadow one of his contracted captains and at the age of twenty Lucius became a sailor, trader, and captains mate. He saw many port cities and was offered much in the form of on deck education. The nicest thing about the journey was the fact that Lucius felt welcomed by the crew. Sure they'd give him weird looks at times but none insulted him, instead they befriended the eldest child of their employer and Lucius liked the change in thinking.
The people he enjoyed spending time with the most were the small detachment of Wave Guards accompined to the vessel. These men openly took to Lucius, and he did the same to them. They taught him the basics of sailing, unarmed combat and how to swing a sword properly. He for the first time felt alive at sea and didn't want it to end. However like all things it must and did. Thus after some time the captain set sail for the return to Zeltiva.
When they returned home his father was, in a rare moment, rather proud of the successful trade misson. He welcomed Lucius home with a hug and showed him his little brother whom at this time was two years old. The boy looked normal, Lucius remembers smiling at his little brother, then he followed his father to a quiet room where they spoke privately. It was here were he explained to his old man that he wished to enlist within the service of the Wave Guard.
After some deliberation his father accepted and with his connections he acquried Lucius a spot at Matthews Keep where he trains as a recruit within the Wave Guard.
