Fall 59, 523 AV She didn’t remember anything from the day before as she seemed to be floating in a dark void filled with cold air and a soft rumble similar to being underwater. She stared upwards at the rippling patterns above and blinked slowly, reaching towards them before gasping in pain. It slammed into her body like a wave crashing into the beach and stole the air from her lungs. She felt hot tears roll down her cheeks and she reached up to touch them, only to find out that her skin was like a fire. Actually, now that she thought about it, the area below her started to glow red and orange. It was getting hotter within this dark void and Eva was finding it uncomfortable to be there. She started trying to move upwards, away from the glowing heat, only to seemingly be pulled towards it at the same pace she used to try and escape. She was starting to sweat now, and the air felt heavy and thick like molasses. Her movements became sluggish and breathing felt laborious as the heat rose. She groaned a bit as her body felt sweaty, until there was a rush of coolness that washed across the area. It was quick, coming and going like a breeze. Eva tried going after it, flailing her arms a bit to keep up, but it wasnt enough. The heat returned when it left and she was uncomfortable again for a while until it came back around. This time it stayed longer, resting at the top of the void and seemingly quelling the heat at the bottom. Eva was thrilled at its presence and tried to move towards it, only to find that anything she did made the feeling slowly wane away. Outside of her unconscious state, Eva was laying in bed, having been mysteriously helped into bed once she arrived home. Her body was covered in grime and dried blood, gashes oozed with clotted blood and filth, and several areas was evident to some nasty bruises. Her body ran a fever that seemed to want to claim her life at any moment and on occasion her body would twitch and flail in a fit as time went on. WC: 370 |
