A small girl, Rissi stands at five feet and one inch tall. She is somewhat scrawny and sports the malnourished form shared between most of Sunberths denizens. Her straight, light brown hair is usually cut to the length of her chin to keep it from getting caught and matted. Her eyes are large and a muddy brown colour that in some lights hint at flecks of green.
Character Concept
A girl who lost her mother and father and only recently aged out of the Orphanage, Rissi has the telltale paranoia of a typical Sunberther. Once vibrant and energetic as a child, that energy has been pushed into worrying about the intentions of everyone around her and while she tries to hide those worries and make a life for herself, it constantly seems to creep back to the forefront.
Character History
Born to two loving parents in Sylira, Rissi’s early childhood was pretty standard. Her father, Tay, worked as a carpenter and her Lhavitian mother, Silla, a herbalist, she’d go to work with each parent on alternating days and would learn small bits from them each, carpentry and salvage from her father, drawing and very basic malediction from her mother. Then when she was nine everything changed. She’d spent helping her father with his carpentry, handing him his tools and enjoying her day, but once they returned home her mother hadn’t returned. They waited two days before her father decided to try to find her, knowing that she had ventured into the wildlands to try to find new plants. After a tenday, her father began packing things and took Rissi with him.
They travelled along the Kabrin Road to Zeltiva and used Tay’s matching bracelet to find more information about Silla. After a season in Zeltiva, Rissi and Tay moved on to Sunberth as Tay believed that somehow Silla had been enslaved and sold to someone in Sunberth. They set up a tent in the tent city and did whatever they could to try to find Silla. Almost two years had passed when their tent was invaded late one night. Armed men killed Tay but failed to notice the then 11 year old Rissi. As soon as dawn came, Rissi left everything but her mothers journal and ran from the tent city to the orphanage.
The next five years of Rissi’s life were spent living at the orphanage, helping out with chores while apprenticing under an architect until she turned 16 and aged out of the orphanage. Luckily by then she’d saved up enough money to buy a small apartment in the Rotten Reaches and had been living there since.
