[Closed] A Growing Way [Amarhyl]

Mekotsu was happy to see that she had finally open up to her. Looking down the path she nodded and held her hands behind her back and she slowly started to walk down the path. Her shoes had become frayed from all the running around and she needed a new pair soon so she would need to hunt soon for more leather.

As she walked along side her. "So tell me, what work do you do?"

Amarhyl followed after the girl, and the pair walked side-by-side down the pathway. "So tell me, what work do you do?"
Amarhyl gave a light shrug. "I embroider things mostly. She gestured to the purple pattern that had been sewn into the collar of her tunic - something that Amarhyl had created herself. "But I can make simple clothes, although mostly for myself. I don't think I'm very good at it yet." She felt the nerves wash away, finding herself comfortable talking to this stranger.

Amarhyl kept stealing sideways glances to the girl as they walked. She still couldn't work out why she didn't seem so human. Then, out of nowhere, something just slotted into place. The girl's arms seemed strangely muscled, and the eagle came to her so easily... "You're Kelvic..." Shocked that she'd said the words aloud, she stopped completely and covered her mouth with her hands, eyes full of apologies.

Hearing that she thought she wasn't very good at her work yet , she glanced to look at her clothes, she could never work with cloth so she was doing far better than her. The thought made her chuckle on the inside. She then heard the work kelvic slip out of the girls mouth and noticed that she stopped and seem sorry about saying it. She too, stopped as well and tilted her head."Yes, and?"

Amarhyl remained rooted to the spot, though she removed her hands from where they clamped her mouth shut. "Yes, and?" She watched for a few moments more as the other tilted her head with the question.
"Ah, um, sorry..." She inwardly rolled her eyes at herself, why was she such a wimp? "I didn't mean to just say it like that...it's just I didn't notice, and then I did, and I never met one before..." Amarhyl trailed off as she realized she was starting to ramble. An uncomfortable feeling gnawed at her stomach; she hoped that the girl wouldn't be irritated by such a naive comment.

She smiled and shook her head and continued walking. "No need to worry, i'm not much different than you really just better senses and i age faster, plus the whole, shape shifter thing". Still walking forward she motioned her to come with her thinking she was still just sitting there. In her head she laughed a little at the innocence of this girl. Not to make fun of it just, where she had come from, it was always the opposite.

Relief washed over her when the Kelvic smiled. "No need to worry..." Her posture relaxed as she felt confident that she hadn't angered her new acquaintance. "...plus the whole, shape shifter thing." A smile crept into the corners of Amarhyl's mouth.
She hurried back to the side of the girl, and they continued to walk down the path. The Gardens were quickly drawing nearer. She resisted the urge to ask what her shifted form was, instead choosing to formally introduce herself.
"Um, I'm Amarhyl, by the way."

She was slowly starting to notice the child like behavior this human girl had. It made her smile a little as she never really got to be around such behavior. "I'm Mekotsu, you may call me Meko if you like." As the garden drew closer she started to smell all the different plants scents blowing through the air, it made her nose twitch a little from all the different kinds. So see looked around to see what she was smelling seeing all the different colors it made her feel at peace. something she didn't get to feel to often.

She felt she was growing more comfortable with the Kelvic girl's company. Though that was not to say that she could approach strangers with ease now, she'd most likely be reduced once more, to a terrified wreck.
"I'm Mekotsu, you may call me Meko if you like."
"Mekotsu... The name sounded both strange and lovely. Growing up in the fields meant that the most exotic names she had ever heard were somewhere along the lines of Lisa.
As they reached the Gardens, Amarhyl glanced up at her companion. She seemed enthralled by the sights - and smells she noted - and the girl smiled.
"Um, this is the Stone Gardens. People meditate here, and some Knights that have passed are here too."

She looked at her as she spoke and looked around. "Meditation eh?" Wondering about why people would meditate. Then she looked at her with question and she stretched. "So, why did you come here hm?"

Amarhyl nodded.
"Yes. I suppose some disciplines need it. Some combat or arcane things...they use the mind." Though she was young she was intelligent. That and she had observed people meditating in the Gardens before, and had deducted their profession, or skill from their attire or equipment.
Before answering the Kelvic's question, she paused, a crease furrowing her brow.
"To...to the Gardens? Or to the City?"
