Day 65 of Winter, AV 510 Location: The Great Bazaar |
Syliras was as it typically was. Busy as could be. People all around. The Great Bazaar was possibly the busiest of all Syliras, and as so, it brought about the biggest variety of people. Here in the bazaar you could find nearly every person you wanted to find, or plenty of those you wished to avoid. You could find stalls of pottery or various fruits for sale, yet robbing a stall owner was possibly the stupidest idea ever. Stalls were guaranteed to have small crowds around them, which could both be advantageous, or troublesome. Where a purse taken in a crowded room made plenty of suspects, it also had the potential for plenty of witnesses. The Bazaar was lit up bright with a blend of torchlight and rays of sunlight from various small windows on the outer walls of Syliras. As Jokor entered the place, he already got to scouting the area. Crowds were everywhere, moving in different directions, flowing against one another in what made an uncomfortable claustrophobic moment for the weak. Through all this, there were three primary targets that caught Jokor's attention. The first was a an old man that was sitting on a chair to the side of the massive room, the Bazaar. He looked like a person that had seen just about everything that life had to offer and then some. This darkskinned heavily wrinkled, thin guy was asleep, though next to his chair, a dog snoozed diligently. Some guard dog. However, next to the dog was a small box, decorated in a very fancy manner. Perhaps it had jewelry, or some sort of expensive yet small wares that needed such a small, yet locked, box. The second target Jokor had seen was a young man that was particularly strong, he seemed like the type of guy that was naturally powerful, but was preoccupied with carrying merchandise in large crates from one pile on one side of the bazaar, to some stall on the other end. The problem with this target, though sporting a noticeably large purse at his side, as well as a body of muscle and no shirt to hide it, he was strong. He could probably pummel Jokor with ease all by himself, you know, if he caught the kid trying to steal from him. Lastly, and seemingly most convenient to Jokor, was a Girl about his own age. She was walking through the crowd only a few paces ahead of Jokor, yet it was obvious she wasn't with anybody. She spoke to nobody, and nobody to her. She had on various pieces of jewelry, a silver bracelet on either arm, earrings of some sort of beautiful gem, and a pendant necklace that hung near the crevice between her breasts, which were partially exposed in that oddly cut sleeveless shirt she wore. It was also noticed that she too had a purse at her side, though it wasn't quite as obviously stuffed as the muscled man Jokor saw earlier. These were the best three targets Jokor saw immediately. Each seem distracted or unaware of his presence, each all had something valuable on them where he could see. It all depended now on what he was going to take his chances on, or, perhaps, if he would turn spineless and flee without an attempt at all. |
