Gromhir Whitemane Physical Information Race: Kelvic Birthday & Age: Spring of 507 AV (2 years old) Gender: Male Physical Description Gromhir’s name comes from his appearance. When in his animal form, he takes the shape of a Ivaski, the white canines that inhabit Konti Isle. Gromhir does not have the fortune of knowing where his animal form originates. Standing roughly four and a half feet tall at the shoulder and a little under eight feet in length, his Ivaski form hides the true power that lies within. In his human form, Gromhir retains the pure colour of his fur in his fair along with the piercing blue eyes. His form is lean and he moves as though stalking his prey. He stands at a fairly average six feet and his only true defining features are his eyes and his hair. He tries to refrain from drawing too much attention to himself wearing generally unremarkable clothing. He never carries any weapons, only a small pouch at his waste. Character Concept Gromhir, like most Kelvic, seeks his bond partner. Generally, being an Ivaski, he tends to be more friendly with females rather than males. He is fiercely protective, loyal and obedient to those who would treat him right, but he his trust is hard earned if you are a male. Even a threatening move made towards a female by a male of any species will cause Gromhir to fly into action without much thought. However, his trust in females can be misplaced. His true fear is being trapped and so he hates enclosed spaces to the point of a phobia. Gromhir is utterly lost, however, without a bonding partner. He searches fruitlessly for a part of his soul that he believes he is missing. It has fractured his mind quite severely, at the best of times he seems distant, which makes it even stranger when he moves to protect someone. Gromhir is also has no concept of good and evil. It’s not that he is necessarily neutral. He cannot comprehend what is an evil act and what is not. For example, Gromhir would not find killing a human any different from killing, say, a deer. In his mind, there is no true difference even though one act is considered evil and one is tolerated. During the past two seasons, a lot has changed in Gromhir's life. He has found a bondmate in Kamalia Timandre, a Konti Wizard. Gromhir considers it his duty to protect Kamalia from whatever harm may come her way, just as any Kelvic would their partner. However, this sense of duty only extends to other Konti and only the closest of friends but not to the same degree. Gromhir will protect those he deems worthy but will not sacrifice himself unless that person is Kamalia. Kamalia has also had an affect on Gromhir. She has taught him what is acceptable in human society and though he still has much to learn about human ways and even human feelings, he understands more. Gromhir has retained his fractured mind through the bonding process. He is slow to trust anyone and will always look for truth and fact in all things. To him, everyone is capable of anything until proven otherwise. If they put so much as one foot wrong, Gromhir will have trouble forgiving but he will never forget. Those who gain a black mark against their name in Gromhir's mind will never be fully trusted again, if they had even gotten that far in the first place. Character History “I was given the name Gromhir by my mother. I never knew her, maybe one day I will. I was disowned when they found out what I was and how quickly I grew. Demon was one of the names I was called, I remember. It wasn’t that long ago, but especially my Father pushed me away. He beat me out of the door despite my Mother’s protests, “I cannot recall their faces now. I think this blue stone might have been one of their possessions. I don’t remember taking it from them though. It could be something I found in the wilderness. But it helps me to focus and clear my mind when I cannot do so any other way. “I have been travelling from village to village, hunting as I go. I bring them meat from my kills and they give me shelter until I can move on. My heart calls out for something but I do not know what. I never feel at home in one place, I am always compelled to keep travelling. I have to find something. “The only time someone showed me compassion, her husband cast me out. He attacked her so I defended her. I would have left peacefully had he not. Now, he has returned to the earth that gave him life. I put him there and so I had to leave. “But I will keep searching for that something I need. One day, I will find it, there is no other choice.” |
