While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

The anonymous and mysterious man walked over to them at an agonizingly slow and tensionfilled pace. He seemed to be about as uncomfortable as Umke was, which made her smile and relax. As he introduced himself in a modest and humble way, Umke nodded in response and said, stumbling slightly over her words since she coudn't return the favor of telling her name. She decided to beat around the bush without giving her name.

" Hi Sable, it's such a relief that you don't mean any harm. I was scared for a second when I saw a person looking at us from a distance. I guess I was a bit paranoide. Do you happen to know the way to a nearby town or city? "

She spoke light and with a friendly tone but inside she was coiling up, she hoped he wouldn't ask for her name or think she was rude. And she definitely hoped he knew the way to a city or something. Standing still the cold seemed to strike her so much fiercer than before. She wanted to get out of this damned forest and find some shelter, somewhere, anywhere.

" Sooooo coooooold. " She whined as she wrapped her arms around herself and shivered.

Sable's introduction was greeted with a nod and a smile. This alone he found quite settling. Feeling welcomed he smiled back.

" Hi Sable, it's such a relief that you don't mean any harm. I was scared for a second when I saw a person looking at us from a distance. I guess I was a bit paranoide. Do you happen to know the way to a nearby town or city? "

He did in fact know of a town, and he began to retrace his steps mentally back from where he came. His face went blank momentarily as he was lost in thought.

" Sooooo coooooold. "

He snapped back. Sable looked at her, questioning what her name was, but in more concern for the rags of clothes which she wore. He removed his backpack and set it on the ground at his side. Sable undid his cloak and stepped forward, wrapping it around the poor woman.

"I have a basic idea of where we are, and where Syliras is, but more importantly right now, when was the last time you two ate?"

Sable dug into his bag and retrieved the last of his food. Breaking it in two he offered it to these stranger.

Dahlia studied the two as they went on. She only knew little about the general population of "outsiders." For one thing, they were light. She had already noticed that the two were both pale, even lighter than she was. She also knew that they they tend to wear more clothing, even shoes, to aid in adaptation. They wore shoes, but the girl's clothing seemed inadequate for this kind of weather. She also knew that many cannot live without water as long as she can, even though many others in her group can easily go longer.

What she didn't know, or understand, was that the two were also hairless on their knees and elbows like her comrades, nor did they have claws. If she was spawned by an outsider, then outsiders should have those qualities, if she's not mistaken. She also noticed that these people seem more... fragile?
She has so much to learn from them.

"No, thank, you. I-I have, some." was her reply to Sable's offer, but Lily decided to sniff it out of curiosity, and to attract attention. Dahlia climbed back on her saddle, and grabbed some food from her sack.

Umke stared in confusion as the man undid his cloak. 'Did he have it warm? That's insane.' She thought before he approached her while she followed his every movement with her eyes tracing his. It wasn't 'till he was nearby that she understood what he was doing. She smiled at Sable as he wrapped the cloak around her and she looked at him while he was still nearby with appreciation and joy in her eyes.

But the joy wasn't going anywhere as she looked at his back while he hunched forward over his backpack and took out something that, in Umke's eyes, looked like a godsend. She accepted it greedily and crunched it between her teeth as she took aa huge bite of it.

" Mmmmmmmm, dlecious! " She failed to talk properly with her mouth full so she chewed hard and fast, much like a child, before swallowing and trying to talk again.

" Delicious, thanks alot Sable. Very kind of you! "

Feeling much better now that her stomach was pretty much satisfied and the cold was erased by the warm cloak that she kept her arms in, folded over her chest. She felt at ease with these 2 people and started patting the horse's face and body, looking at Dahlia with a smile, hoping it was ok to touch her horse uninvited.

" So, we're all headed in the same direction? To Syliras? "

She asked it lighthearthedly and with a smile so she didn't show her eagerness or confusion. She had never heard of Syliras but any civilized place was good for her.

Sable's offering was accepted by one and declined by the other, but the fact she had food of her own comforted him. He placed what little food that was left back in his bag, in all the excitement he had lost his appetite.

The food was eaten eagerly, but seemed enjoyed all the same. Her gratitude was all the thanks Sable needed.

"Not a problem Miss." Sable replied.

She began to pat the honey-skinned strangers horse when she raised the question of traveling together to Sylaris. Sable had no objections of traveling together for the time being, but had little interest in actually going to Sylaris, not again.

"For now at least. We'll need to travel west by north west until we reach the Kabrin Road, from there Sylaris is straight north."

ooc; sorry I took so long!!!

IC: Dahlia watched at the girl greedliy accepted the food offer, and wondered how long she has gone without food. She then began to wonder how long outsiders can go with out food. Maybe they can go as long without food as she can? She already knew they didn't have the capability to last a very long time without water, but they could still be able to refrain from food longer.

She smiled back at the girl as she petted Lily. She didn't know it was an act of mannerism. You usually don't have to ask permission to touch animals. Killing them is a different story...

Realizing that she hadn't stated her name, she pointed to herself and said "Dahlia," then patted the horse's flanks and replied "Lily." Lily reacted by trotting over to the berry she first ate from, making Dahlia hold the nose of her leathersaddle so she wouldn't fall off.
